This was a nice start to my day. Kevin must sell out early because I was here in the morning and there wasn't a whole lot left but I did snag an apple fritter and an old fashioned maple. Yes, I ate them both and they good. The fritter was crispy, which I loved but there was a little bit too much oil left over for me. I just used some napkins to press the oil out before each bite but I loved the crunch and I am assuming I only got it because of the oil, so take the good with the bad. I purchased bread from this bakery today and unfortunately one of the loaves had visible mold on it. This is very concerning, especially from a place that's supposed to sell fresh baked goods. I've included photos so others can see what I received. I hope the bakery checks their inventory more carefully to prevent this from happening again. read more

Fresh donuts... and Mexican treats! [Red Bluff CA] Ordered a cinnamon roll and regular glazed with our coffee and hot chocolate. We placed our order at the counter. This area was so roomy. There was also a separate seating area inside that was spacious with plenty of table seating. The folks here were helpful and friendly. The cinnamon rolls were big, fluffy, soft and absolutely delicious packed with a cinnamon brown sugar filling. We came back the next day for some iced blended drinks. I had a Java Chip and hubby chose a Mocha flavor. Perfect refresher for an 85° afternoon. Ok this place is DANGEROUS (in a good way)!!! I was on a roadtrip throughout Northern California and was seriously craving donuts. I found this place on Google Maps and I was led to a goldmine. I was overjoyed at the mega selection they offer of not only regular donuts but cake donuts and mini donuts. The options felt endless. They even have a drink menu if you wanted a coffee. This donut shop is fantastic, I am glad I don't live near here because I would be tempted to stop in way too often. The blueberry glazed donut was fruity but not too sweet, soooo good. I think that was my favorite but I also enjoyed the classic chocolate sprinkle. Also, the prices were great for their donuts and the selection alone made it worth the visit. Was 2nd time there in 5 years. 1st time, stale donuts. Stale apple fritter. Too much sugar. 2nd time just a week ago. Ordered$10 for 5 special donuts, ask if they were fresh ,"we make fresh every day" not fresh. Tasted like all sugary syrup, tasted like day old or older. Red Bluff being the small town that it is has only basically two doughnut shops in town, if you don't count the donuts at WalMart. Kevin's Donuts would be my first choice over the other shop up the street. Even though the other place opens 24hrs, I'd never need a doughnut before 4am which is when Kevin's opens. They have all the standard donuts as well as a selection of Mexican bakery breads and other items. I'm mostly interested in the donuts. The selections is always fresh at 6am, which is the earliest I can wake up and get in here. My fave is a chocolate old fashioned or a glazed old fashioned. If I'm feel indulgent, the apple fritter hits the spot. Parking is easy so no prob there. Support your local family business and get you donuts here instead of at the supermarket or Walmart. read more

Delicious. The people who own the place are Hispanic and very nice. There was a large selection of donuts to choose from and the prices were fair. I noticed that they also serve coffee, bottled soft drinks and infused red bulls. This place seems to be a hang out spot early in the morning for some people before they head to work. The donuts are ok here, the girl that helps at the counter is polite, but let me say that the interrogation that I got from the person on the phone when I called about ordering a tres leches cake was just bad customer service. First of all she should be glad that I was trying to make an order instead of grilling me about who told me that she bakes cake, where did I get the phone number, who tried her cake before, etc... all she had to say was that she wasn't able to bake one instead of giving such an attitude! It was 9pm and they close at 10p and still had a decent selection and didn't seem like they were closing shop. They were very polite and helpful I was completely surprised at the size and the price!
