Dogs are not kept in conventional kennel cages, but in small rooms with half doors for airiness, light and human connection. Each dog, I am told, has time in their multiple play yards three times a day. Additionally, I understand that each dog has free time in the office with staff for more human interaction. Though they suggest bringing your dog's own food and treats, the kennel does provide them if the guest should run out. One rule I appreciate is the separation of each of their guests. Dogs do not come in contact with other dogs unless through the fence in the play yards. The rule of separation extends to the front office area, as well. I appreciate the owners' precautions for guest vaccinations. Anyone wishing to board a family member with them is required to show proof of vaccinations. Their pricing is in line with other kennels in the area with no additional marketing frills to raise one's bill. The staff obviously love all dogs and their love shows. The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. I highly recommend this company. 1/27/20 Update: Just used them again during a ten day trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure our birds are in love with Alex, who came for most oF the visits. Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). They took great care with my dogs (both rescues) and even my younger pup, who is afraid of most things, seemed perfectly content to explore the grounds with one of the kennel employees. When I picked them up, they were happy, which any dog parent knows is the key to a great boarding facility.
