I really try supporting food truck business owners but I believe the novelty has run its course. Ordered the most simplistic food - chicken wings, fries, and greens. Well, I guess he missed the greens part because I didn't get any. Please let me know if the wings are supposed to be fried or steamed. I was handed a gross combination of both! They came by our office park today for the first time today and enjoyed the food. The beans were terrific and the mac and cheese was delicious. I thought the BBQ was a little dry but I didn't have much sauce. All in all the food was pretty good. read more

I tried out the Grandma's BBQ food truck last night and WOW was I pleasantly surprised!! You never know what quality you're going to get from a food truck environment but I was blown away by the freshness and taste of the food. I got a pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese and collard greens. The pork was so delicious but even better was the BBQ sauce. It was a combo of sweet and savory. Went there 4th of July. People in front of me had a problem with an over charge. Took awhile but it finally got worked out ( I think) I couldn't hear what exactly happened but the mother of the family never was happy. I ordered a rib sandwich $12 and a brisket sandwich with fries $15. After paying and getting my receipt emailed to me, I saw they overcharged me too. $17 for the brisket. The girl said it was taxes and surcharges. Not! I had to get the owner to come fix it. Long wait for the food and was told he just ran out of ribs! He offered a double portion of pulled pork so I accepted and thought it was a good deal. Then I started eating. The Brisket was tough, chewy and not very tasty. The pork was chewy as well and did not taste very good. The fries, while generously sized and cooked properly, had a strange taste, probably from whatever else had been cooked in the oil. Went to a food truck event tonight in Oviedo. Ordered fish and shrimp entree. Waited 40 minutes for the food. Asked why it wasn't ready. Was told our number was called, but we were very close to the truck and did not hear our number. The person on the truck complained about having been there since 3, but offered no apology. When we finally received the food,we left and later checked yhe box and there were no shrimp in the box. No substitution had been offered to replace the shrimp, and no refund was given for the missing shrimp. This is not the way to treat your customers. By the way, after being open for less than three hours, they were sold out of their top three items. read more

This was by far the nastiest food I have ever eaten! They had come out to my apartment yesterday and this will be the first And last time that I eat from this food truck. The prices weren't worth it at all. The collar greens tasted like yams and the Mac and cheese tasted awful. The baked beans tasted like a ton of nutmeg. The fries served had old bay salt on them. The owner didn't notify us that there was salt on the fries! Due to people having health issues, he should have communicated that the fries come with old bay seasoning! The only potential was the chicken. However, it tasted like gaslighting fluids. No customer service! I asked about making a substituton and was told no, that I needed to purchase the combo! Which cost me an extra $4! This was an apartment event! I could have easily spread the word, however, he didnt seem to care! If you want to keep business, you have to sometimes make adjustments! Not for the sake of a dime, but in hopes to receive more business! I run an organization with over 500 individuals, he lost the chance to be referred to by me! ... you never know whom you are servicing! My family dinner was ruined! very nasty brisket was very tough and hard , greens was salty , man n cheese tasted like plain noodles , baked beans looked like dog food tasted like nothing but cinnamon got my brisket replaced with ribs and they was very chewy like beef jerky! We went an event in Casselberry and there weren't many options for food, we decided to try Grandmas BBQ, whT mistake. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and asked them to put sauce on, it was terrible plus they added there nasty bbq sauce on the sandwich. I also ordered the rib platter, the ribs were tender, but the were way over smoked. They tasted like I was eating charcoal. I will not eat at there food truck again. read more

Fried shrimp is often easy to overlook, but this guy nailed it. Perfectly cooked, breaded, and GREAT seasoning. Did not expect good shrimp from a BBQ food truck! The wings we had were also perfectly cooked with an amazing garlic parm sauce. Collard greens were flavorful, and fries had a seasoning that reminded me of a crawfish boil. As I was walking up I fell in love with the aroma coming from the food. I could already tell that the food was delicious before taking the first bite. If I could this a zero star I would. The bbq chicken was so hard, it was inedible. even the sauce was disgusting! I asked for Mac n cheese, they gave me beans, that had pork in it, without telling me they were out of the Mac n cheese. So, I couldn't eat that. They said the greens had smoked turkey in them, but I couldn't find not one piece of turkey. Also, the greens were obviously from a can or frozen and they added hella liquid smoke to them, which made them inedible as well. I actually had this Bbq years ago at a fundraiser event and it was absolutely delicious. The food we got today (10/9/22) was okay. There was no seasoning on the ribs or chicken, just sauce and that was one of the things I had previouslyliked about it, the meat was well seasoned. Many good trucks were available at the Planes, tunes, and BBQ event in Tavares, but for some reason I chose to eat at this one. I saw ribs on the menu and was exited to try them. Their menu didn't list the prices which is typically a turn off because I like to know how much before ordering. My first mistake was ordering towards the end of the event. most people had eaten already. it was just before 9pm. they were out of most of the sides, but that's okay, I just ordered the ribs. The man had said something about a sandwich, half slab, or whole slab. i said a half slab would be great. In my experience, ribs are usually a half rack (about 6) or a whole rack (about 12). Maybe it was my fault for assuming that a slab and a rack were the same. but they rung me up and said it was $2. my jaw about hit the floor, because that's absolutely outrageous. The lady at the Register saw my concern and looked back at the man for assistance. he said he'd add a rib and walked over to show me the amount of food. the ribs were piled into the to-go container. so I agreed and paid. I was leaving the event and took the ribs home. was excited and hungry. They ended up being so disappointing. The bbq sauce wasn't the best but besides that, the ribs were dry. not cooked well at all. they failed to remove the film on the back of the ribs which is like step 1 before cooking them. They were bad. for that price I was expecting much much more. I ended up throwing most of it away and regretting my decisions. They should not have charged so much for such a bad product. and considering it was a BBQ event, they shouldn't have been there without some quality BBQ. I literally never leave reviews, but I am really upset and feel cheated. Ribs are a rare treat for me, and $27 is a lot for a meal without any sides or service. Shame on them read more
