I absolutely Love this spot !! The grit bowl has become a staple in my house . It's filling and not expensive at all !! I usually get the fish fried hard with cheese eggs & grits . The ambiance is busy and depending on who's working the counter will determine how fast the service is . The city workers always pile in here before work so the earlier you come the better. I've also tried the dinner which they offer dinner specials on certain days of the week, and it was ok, but I'll stick with the breakfast . They offer flavored lemonades that taste Amazing and their sweets are delicious as well.

The seafood boil came with generous portions, and the crab legs had plenty of meat, so it definitely felt worth ordering. What really stood out was the seasoning. The Cajun butter sauce coated everything perfectly, and the corn, potatoes, and other sides soaked up all the flavor. Sometimes the sides feel like an afterthought at seafood boil places, but here they were just as enjoyable as the seafood itself. Overall, this was a great surprise. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, and the service was warm and attentive. If you're in the Orlando area and craving a seafood boil, it's definitely worth making the short drive, even though it's not in one of the main tourist dining districts.

The juicy special boil is my go-to. It has the right amount of spices and flavor. Adding it to the steamed rice takes the meal to another level! Staff was friendly and the wait was reasonable. The lobster flight was so yummy. As someone who likes to share meals to try more flavors, I appreciate this option. All were delicious. I did find the bisque a little lacking in flavor and cold. I had to heat it up, but we were only a short drive from the truck. But overall, I have been impressed by the rolls each time I have had them.

However, the portion was so small and the price was so expensive for that little tiny experience. I was very disappointed at the portion sizes and how much we had to pay. We got two soups one lobster roll and one quesadilla and spent over $87 plus tips ended up being over $90 total. We get home and open up what we bought and we're like -- Why did we spend almost $100 on something like this when we could've gone to a restaurant and had a better experience elsewhere and could have gotten lobster with sides and the full dining experience? As delicious as it was -- it was definitely not worth spending that much money on a food truck experience that was take home food. If I didn't eat the soup, I would've still been hungry after eating the very small lobster roll that look like a hotdog roll but smaller. For this reason is why I'm only giving them only a 3 star rating because it's not the food quality or taste that failed, because they really do have fresh lobster and it really has good flavor, but I have eaten at places like Nauti Lobster in Apopka Florida that is just as good but have better portions for the price. - Extremely disappointed - never again

For my entrée, I had the beef pad kee mow--flat rice noodles with bell peppers, Thai basil, chili, and their signature spicy wok sauce. It was flavorful, spicy, and absolutely delicious! My colleague had the shrimp pad kra plow with Thai basil, chili, bell peppers, and rice, and loved it as well. Of course, we had to finish with the mango sticky rice, which was the perfect dessert. Everything was delicious, and the service was superb! The restaurant is also very nicely decorated, making it a great atmosphere for lunch or dinner. One thing to note: parking can be a little tricky. I parked in the parking structure behind the restaurant, which worked out well. Overall, a fantastic meal and a great experience. I'll definitely be back!

To eat, we started by splitting the chor muang dumplings. These were gorgeous purple dumplings, but I found that their flavor was very delicate. The wrapper was somehow both gummy and overly delicate and broke. They were okay, but definitely more of an aesthetic dish. Next, we got one of the specials, which was a small tart shell filled with raw tuna. This was good, but I felt that the sauce overpowered the delicate fish. For mains, I ended up ordering the kor moo yang (pork jowel). This was the star of the show, it was super tender and flavorful. The relish was barely necessary to be honest. I'd definitely order this again, or get it as an appetizer to split with a few people before the main. To drink, I was really surprised that none of their cocktails were modifiable considering that they have a full bar. They didn't have any cocktails that were speaking to me, so I ended up ordering a zero proof drink, the honey's passion, with a shot of vodka on the side to spike it. This was a good solution. I would probably not go to talay again for food because there are so many good Thai places here, and the food just didn't stand out, but I'd definitely hit the bar for some drinks if I had more time.

I ordered the Shrimp & Grits for my entrée and the Seasonal Bread Pudding for dessert, and overall, I really enjoyed my meal. The shrimp were juicy and flavorful, and the sausage was SO good! All of the flavors came together beautifully. Their Gouda grits are top-notch--creamy, flavorful, the peppers and onions added such a nice touch. Every component worked so well together, and the dish was extremely filling. I was definitely satisfied! I would have given the restaurant 5 stars, yet the bread pudding was a bit of a letdown for me. The texture was much denser than what I'm used to, so it wasn't quite my favorite. And y'all... the portion of ice cream that came with it was laughable! It was basically half a scoop of ice cream sitting next to this HUGE piece of bread pudding. I definitely needed more ice cream to balance it out! Nevertheless, dinner was great and I'd absolutely recommend The Stubborn Mule. The shrimp & grits alone are worth trying, especially if you're looking for a flavorful and filling dish!
