This place had a reputation as one of the best places for chopped cheese so I thought why not? The place is really small, 2 little tables with stools and that's about it. Lots of sandwiches on the menu. You order at the kiosk in the back and pay with your card. The people working there are very welcoming. The fries were really good, hot and crispy. The chopped cheese was good, kind of like a cheesesteak but with ground beef. I found it a bit salty. I cant really say if it was the best chopped cheese since I have no reference but it was OK. My favorite place to get a bacon, egg and cheese! Clean pickup spot with great service. I'm not sure if it's the owner that is usually there but whoever works the morning during the week is really nice and friendly. Quick service too. I was craving a chopped cheese and had remembered seeing such great reviews about Orlando City Deli, so it was time to give them a try. When I walked inI was immediately greeted by the woman behind the register. She was so nice and handed me a menu and told me to take my time as I looked through. I am almost certain that she was the owner along side her husband making the delicious food on the grill because it seemed as though the knew everyone that was coming in. It was good to see that everyone except me were literally regulars. I ordered my chopped cheese and sat at one of the two high tops while waiting. Before long I was the gentleman making my sandwich was asking my choice of toppings and wrapping it up. They both were so friendly and invited me to come back again as I left. When I got home I tore that chopped cheese up! It was so darn good and the fries were 10 out of 10 as well. They were thick cut and fried to order. The sandwich was seasoned to perfection and was still hot by the time I made it home. I usually eat half of my meals and save the rest for later, but not this time. I have had a chopped cheese at other places here in town, but I must say that this may be my new favorite place for one. I also noticed that many of the people that came in were ordering baconeggandcheese on a roll. I may have to try that one as well. Wow this place brought me back to the Bronx! Great food and prices, the service was impeccable. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend supporting this local business. I ordered the American omelet plate that came with fries and my wife had the chopped cheese. You can tell all the ingredients are fresh and everything is cooked to order. They have a mayo/ketchup sauce they make in house that's just so delicious. The place is small with 2 high tops so it's not a place to sit and eat. It's mainly a to go spot. I've heard a lot of good things about this place, so we decided to stop in for lunch recently. The people working (the owners I believe) were super nice and happy to answer any questions. We decided to share a steak and cheese and fries. We were told to have a seat and pay after we finished enjoying our meal. It's smaller inside, but they have a couple of tables so we grabbed one. After a short wait, our food was ready. I tried a couple of fries first. I'm picky about fries and found these to be yummy. They had a good crisp and I liked the sauce they gave along with ketchup for dipping. Next, I started on my half of the sandwich. This was one of the best steak and cheese sandwiches I've ever had! Meat was tender and seasoned well, everything was chopped perfectly together so the melty cheese was all throughout in every bite. The bread held up nicely without getting soggy and had a good flavor. After we finished our halves, we seriously debated ordering another to go since we liked it so much, but weren't going straight home so grabbed a tasty cookies and cream shake on the way out. So happy this spot has the Chop Cheese. This wasn't a thing when I was growing up in NY back in the day, so this was my first opportunity to have it and it's delicious. The owner showed pure NY love and attentive service. There's only a couple of high top tables to sit and eat, so it's mainly a "to go" type place but I was lucky enough to be able to grab one as I didn't go during a lunch rush. Don't sleep on Orlando City Deli! The parking is a little tight and it's more of a grab and go than a sit down (though there are a few tables and chairs if you prefer) but the food is worth it! I had a bagel with egg and cheese that was and my husband had the chopped cheese and it was soooogood!
