Okay, so my photos are absolutely embarrassing but that is a testament to how incredible these appetizers truly were. I couldn't wait to dive in! My friend and I saw a movie at EVO and wanted a place to dissect it so I found this spot on here and wallah! I'm so glad I did. Said friend stated she was simply in the mood for appetizers and drinks so this place hit the spot--we got an order of garlic knots and fried zucchini. Both of these appetizers were insanely delicious and the marinara is to live for. I was able to navigate the menu as a sober, dairy-free individual and that made me super happy. Financially, this place is a total nightmare but I don't think I will take that into consideration since I didn't try their pizza. It was odd to see how expensive a pie was and how close to 30-40 bucks you could get with a single order of one item. However, I have to give them the biggest kudos for having Michelob Ultra Zero and Best Day Brewing as non alcoholic options. The Best Day was delicious and I ordered three! Now to the highlight of the night: the food runners. It's a thankless job to stand around and observe diners as they request mundane stuff like extra ranch or marinara, etc. But there was one standout of the three we interacted with and that was Sean. The guy was insanely alert, prompt and kind. His relaxed manner made me want to continue to order more off the menu (in fact my friend flagged him down so that she could order a pie to go)! He was accurate with his estimated time of the pizza being done and my favorite thing he did for me was allow me to purchase two beer cans and pour them in cold glasses as I finished them. Sean went above and beyond and I have to recognize that! Check this place out for sure -- as there is a coupon for $10 off your next order of $30, it shows the true markup for this restaurant. Found this gem while Mother's Day shopping with the kids, the pizza is amazing, and the roll that came with the salad was even better. I was greeted immediately upon entering, the server was patient while we figured out what to order, however the photos with the cornhole games outside do not exist though lol. I was recommended a fruity beer, but they ran out so I tried a pineapple beer and it was amazing!!! Pizza - 3.9/5 it was missing a little bit of seasoning. Lasagna - 4.5/5 honestly it tasted extremely homemade really good! Drinks - they were the perfect amount of liquor, not too strong, but not too weak. I really love the interior of this place and the aesthetic. Took a large group of high school athletes to eat at Tony C's last night and everyone loved it! Vincent was extremely helpful as soon as we arrived with advice on how many pizzas to order and recommending items he thought the kids would like. Throughout our stay he and the manager Rachel came by to check on our group to make sure we had everything we needed. We sat outside where there was plenty of room for everyone and it was clean and comfortable. The pizzas were delicious and the service was exceptional!! I highly recommend Tony C's for a large group! If you're looking for east coast style pizza in Kyle this should be your go to. Very well done east coast pizza which offers both traditional and specialty pizzas that will make everyone happy. The wings are legitimately fantastic, if a bit pricey. But they are very large so that help takes the sting off it. The fried zucchini appetizer with the aioli is a meal in itself and absolutely delicious and crunchy. They typically have a by-the-slice combo as well if you just want to pop in for a quick bite. Very reasonable happy hour with items you'll actually want to order and one of the better beer selections in town. Kyle is no stranger to pizza spots. BUT it has needed more large spots like Tony C's with large outdoor seating and plenty of screens. Went to the soft opening today and since it was during a quick break from work I opted to take my food to go. The staff is INCREDIBLY friendly. The managers are patient as well. I was very impressed and it operated like they've been open for a while. The pizza rolls are solidly good. Well baked. Sauce is good. I do wish they'd put a lid on the sauce but that's just nit picking. The salad is delicious and plentiful. The order didn't take long to come out at all and they were moving pizzas like crazy. Many people have told me to come and try this place and I'm so happy I did! This was my first time and came when it wasn't super busy. Food and service is excellent. Even starting at walk up order cashier they let you know what to expect as far as portion size served. Salad for instance was advised the large salad for two people would be way too big. Lasagna. Is my wife's go too Italian food and she loves it here, really enough for 2 people. You walk in and order at the counter and they have community seating at picnic tables and a few booths. I ordered the Lasagne which was tasty but could have used more mozzarella cheese. A good experience. The person who took our order was kind and helpful. The restaurant had thirteen large screen televisions playing. Italian-American artists played over the audio. Seats were comfortable. There was some covered outside dining available. Restroom was clean. There was a self help soda fountain for free refills. Price of soda was reasonable. Tuesday buy one get one free on pizza, made the price of this meal reasonable. Two large sixteen inch pizzas and two soft drinks for about $25. We did not need a waiter, therefore, no tip was paid. We bussed the table ourselves. Pizza had a good balance of sauce, cheese and crust. That was important. The sauce used was a sweet sauce. We prefer a tangy sauce, Marzano sauce, as used in NYC. The crust on the pizza was thin. Similar to what we get in New York. Not too salty. Slices held up well. Not much sagging. Some of the ingredients were not as good as what we get in New York or in New Haven, CT. Pretty good taste but not a great taste. Pizza was fresh and hot out of the oven. My wife and I agreed that this pizza rates above three stars. Maybe 3.5 stars. That is good for Central Texas. The buy one get one free on Tuesday's made this a good deal. First timer here at Tony C's. First the good, it has a nice atmosphere filled with plenty of indoor picnic table seating and a few half moon booths. There is also a nice beer bar with a good selection of local Texas beers. Now, the bad. This is not some place you come to get a NY Style pie. If anything, it's a glorified Mods pizza with wasted oven space on "fired" oomph style ovens. When I think of NY Style pizza, I don't think of fake brick walllpaper covering the pizza ovens. In NY they are real industrial style ovens with surrounded by real brick. I might give this place another chance just for the homemade Lasagna. The kid that brought my slice out, slid the pizza tip across the table picking up the leftover guests germs. I get it, this place is new, but not really sure if this place will last. What a welcomed new spot in Kyle! We came for the soft opening tonight, and if this is any indication of how it will do when fully opened? Bravo! Every single person was so nice, attentive, kind, genuine smiles amidst their super busy day/night, and they were being kind to each other too! We got a 12" carnivore pizza and a 12" goat cheese and prosciutto pizza (GF). While the GF dough is not as good as some other GF doughs for a similar cost, I absolutely love that they have this option for GF folks. I don't demand places have GF options ever, but I love that they have this crust and give people with this allergy a solid pizza! The prosciutto was nice and salty, and the goat cheese was creamy and delicious! Roasted garlic? All day! I also love how quickly after the regular pizza the GF pizza came! Super quick! The carnivore pizza was also solid and certainly good enough to make my son immediately say that we should come back every day! It was a great pizza for a homemade crust and the price! Sauce was really good, meat real nice and not dried out, and very filling! My son and husband definitely enjoyed the calamari as well! For soft opening calamari, it was again, solid, and enjoyable for sure! I love the vibe of the restaurant. Family style, long tables, open, not too loud, lots of TV's, and a great outdoor area! Very new spot in Kyle. The interior is very clean and you can tell it's freshly built. Powerful AC with plenty of outdoor seating if that's what you're looking for. Beer hall style, picnic tables and a long bar with TV screens across the back wall. This is beer, wine and Seltzer only bar. Family friendly and very attentive service. They gave our pizza to someone else who came after us and quickly rectified the situation and also gave us a appetizer coupon for the next time we come. The best things were the mozzarella sticks in the Caesar salad. We got the meatball sub and it was okay. Definitely needed more sauce. The fried raviolis were a little chewy but the mozzarella sticks were absolutely delicious and extra stringy. We stopped here on a recommendation from someone who told us that they had good, coal fired pizza. We also liked that you could order by the slice. We got the slice special, which comes with 2 nice size slices and a drink. We tried both the Italian sausage and the pepperoni. The meat and sauce on both were good. I like my pizza a little more crispy, so that the corner end doesn't flop down when you pick up your slice. This was definitely floppy. Next time I'll ask for a crispier slice. We also tried the garlic Parmesan French fries, which were fantastic. The fries were crispy, and had great flavor with the garlic & parm. Make sure you have gum if eating these before going somewhere, because they definitely are garlicky. I was happy to find Diet Dr. Pepper in their fountain. Always scores bonus points with me to see that. The restaurant was bright and spacious with a nice bar. Seating is mostly long shiny picnic style tables. It wasn't too crowded, so we could easily find a spot where we could eat semi-alone. I'd be interested to see how comfortable it is when crowded. Staff was friendly, and food came pretty quickly, though not all together. They serve "family style" as the food is prepared, so our fries came several minutes after our slices - but they alerted us to the family style service when we ordered. read more
