Last night some friends and I were there; we were having a great time. The bartender (Tara) and owner (Angelo) were there and super cool. The food and drinks were solid, again, mostly pretty fun. However, later on a man named Bob, who is looking to buy the bar, got so drunk he choked me because he made a rude comment and I responded with a joke. We thoroughly enjoyed our first and long overdue visit which took place on a Saturday afternoon. The place felt very comfy, and the atmosphere was definitely friendly and welcoming. Light crowd of (likely) regulars were present. The bar is plenty big, and there are booths and hi tops too. We sat at a booth and experienced pretty attentive service from more than one staff member. And really, really good food. NOT your typical bar menu. My husband had a cup of the soup of the day which was a thick, creamy and hearty chicken noodle. The cook (who is the owner's mother) let us in on her secret...heavy cream and butter went in there. I got a taste too and we agreed it was delicious. If this is typical of their soups, it's something you want to try for sure. I went for the Classic Italian pasta salad. They say they are very proud of this dish, and well they should be. Penne pasta cooked to perfect fork tender, mixed with chopped tomato and bell pepper, and lightly bathed in olive oil with wonderful tones of basil, garlic, and Romano cheese. Did I mention this place is owned and operated by an Italian family?! We split Angelo's cheeseburger too. It's on the pricier side for a burger, but, you get what you pay for. Don't expect this to come out in five minutes because they are not slapping a frozen patty on the grill and throwing on pre-cut condiments. It was truly freshly made all around and oh my, those homemade potato chips on the side! Perfect texture, thinness, and flavor. Also a decent area for the weekend bands with room for dancing, and an awesome outdoor deck with plenty of seating, plenty of ashtrays, speakers, TV, and the all important overhead heater and roll down wind sheeting (although I hope it will be a LONG time till we have to worry about that again). Wow! Been here multiple times when visiting from out of town. Always enjoyed myself up until tonight. The bartender named Sara needs etiquette training. In a MAJOR way. This evening I was repulsed by her lack of courtesy and empathy. In our mid forties, my dear friend and I have physical medical conditions that we recently developed. Ironically enough, both of our gaits are unsteady, and we both struggle walking. To an outsider that is unaware of the trauma we've both experienced, some may interpret our unsteady walk as being drunk. The bartender showed us her blind ignorance tonight, and even continued to disrespect us after we shared what we both have been trying to manage. She cut us off and refused to serve us more than one drink. I have no words to express how disgusted I am with this, and wanted to share with the community humbly. We went here for a birthday party. There were about 30 of us. The bartenders did a great job despite it being busy. We were the first ones to order, so hopefully that isn't why. The atmosphere is really nice but you get a heavy whiff of smoke from the smokers out back even though we sat near the front door. Their jalapeño poppers were good, but the chicken tenders left something to be desired (like more food for $8). Five drinks and two appetizers was $51. My second visit to the grandstand and it was as great as the first! Super fast service, excellent food and lots to offer for a small town bar and grill. The menu is small but I hope it will grow as the bar gets more attention. The garlic bread is my favorite and the regular food items are a lot of food for the price. The beers are limited but the large is a good 2-3 beers in one glass for around $5. Plenty of space in the bar and has not been crowded at the times I've been here. Also they have darts, pool, Keno and some kind of video game! If you live in the liberty township/Fairfield township/Trenton/Monroe area this bar is very close to home. These people don't seem to care about phone calls. I called them to ask about their cover charge on Friday night (because it is not on their website), but no one answered. After four attempts, I just gave up. If they would put more details on their website people wouldn't have to call at all. Was Happy with the food, but when you are One of two tables there shouldn't be a wait. Also, it is a bar and grill, but has very few beers to choose from. The pasta salad had great potential but was too oily to even eat. Great food and always clean. Best bloody mary's in town but also a little pricey. Love the large bar and all the TV's. Great place to watch your favorite sports team play. The staff is always friendly. Food has always been great. Usually go about once a week and have never had bad service. Offers free valet parking when it is an expected busy night. It was so good that I qas actually full but couldn't stop eating it. The bar tender Nichole was also one of the best ever. She was super friendly and a blast to talk to. Had the hamburger with French fries, and the burger was outstanding (#5). The burger was cooked perfectly and the bun was buttered and toasted which just added to the flavor. My Son got the Philly cheesesteak with saratoga chips and said it was great. Great food, great service! Would definitely recommend stopping by and giving it a try. read more

Very nice and clean, hope they keep it that way. It is a bar, and those typically go down hill. The drinks where a bit pricey for my taste. The absolute worse part was that there was not a patio to sit on. Although they said a deck was a planned addition, that would be located in the rear of the building. Did not try the food. The service is great, the music is great, the food is blah. Great place to get a drink, eat before you go. The only tasty item on the menu is the pasta salad. Everything else is very mediocre. I suggest they spend a little more on their food - get quality burgers from a butcher/meat store, better wings/sauces, homemade soup/chili and add some sandwiches that don't have processed /JTM -esque meat. Do you want to be treated like crud? I went with my service dog, and was rudely and aggressively told by the blonde owner he wasn't allowed, in violation of federal law and the ADA. Despite being informed he is a service dog, she didn't care. So the fact my sister and mother in law were meeting us (after the passing of a loved one), and known relatives, I was denied. When I put the dog in the car to tell them why we weren't staying. I got aggressively approached and told I had no business there if she says I have no business. So ignore federal law, ignore common courtesy, and attack a customer in a public establishment. I can recommend NOT going there if you have any issue or expect courtesy or the ability to spend your money in a public place. How negative can you rate? As negative as your blonde owner Mary Angelo. Well, I visited this place for the first time this past weekend and I left something behind on the table. I tried calling all day the next day (Saturday) and no one answered, no way to leave a message, and no recorded msg giving hours of operation. I tried calling all day the following day as well (Sunday)- same thing. So, I took a chance to drive out there at noon to pick up what I left behind, and it was closed! You'd think a sports bar would be open on Sunday afternoon, but you'd really think a place of business would have their hours and days of operation listed SOMEWHERE! It's not on their website, Facebook page, nor on a phone message. It's also bad business to not ever answer the phone. It would be nice to call ahead and place a food order so you don't have to order it and wait when you arrive. Just some suggestions!!! read more

first visit - the steak hoagie was very good w/both the marinara & mushroom sauces, as was the Philly steak & cheese, and onion rings & Saratoga chips; and the bartender, Jenn, rocks a dirty martini! the place is kid-friendly until 7 p.m. and they have live bands beginning @ 9.
