Food excellent and affordable- can't go wrong friendly everyone- TV's pool tables in back, outdoor patio, music never stops

Came here for a drink after work. I ordered a lemon drop double. Went outside to talk on the phone with my husband. The bar closed. I walked inside to use the restroom. No one told it was closed . The bartend got Hella rube that I was there. Whe. I didn't know I should be there. Then tore into my as about how I should be that at 1:40 am after last call bar close at 1:10 (I'm pissed leaving the bar after peeing) I told the bartender or barkeep I'd like to finish my drink no-one told me it was time to leave. (https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-administrative-code/rule-4301:1-1-49) I gave a 6.00 tip for a drink she didn't know how properly make I'm very upset with the demeanor the bartender had with me after I expressed that I myself work in a kitchen an understand that there is money out. She was very rude when I was explain that I'd be leaving after I finished my drink. They close the bar way before they should an it's almost insulting that I didn't get notified that it'd be time to leave the bar soon. I'm a very understanding person, but the manner in which she spoke to me was very very disrespectful. They need to work on notifications to customer to last call. Just saying I work Hella hard I don't need no chick giving me shit when I wasn't properly notified. I'll go to cobble from now on. Apparently they close at 1? When was this? Friendly staff and were very helpful with menu choice. I selected the small Meat Lovers Pizza for $6.50. Prices are very reasonable the big Fish sandwich is only $7.00 W/cheese $7.50. Lots of TV's to watch sports and a few game machines in a separate area. One of my issues about places is cleanliness and the Avenue gets an A+. Stopped in here to check out some college football. Was busy for about 5. Good selection of tv to watch games. Not a big craft beer selection but good prices. Did not have food so can not make a comment about that. Mixed crowd. Did seem to have more older folks this time. Sat next to an elderly man and he said it could get quite different later in the evening. Thinking in not a good way? But if you want to catch some football this is a good place. We went here on 4/16/21 about 4:30 and sat there for about 10 minutes at a table and never were waited on.Bartender waited on all those at the bar several times though.Everyone looks when you come in so I know we were seen. I usually tip about 18% so she missed out.Just because we weren't regulars and sitting at the bar doesn't me we should be treated differently.Customer service is about the customer just in case you forgot that.We won't be back,EVER! read more

The Avenue: Where One Shot is Actually Two Need I say more!? If so: Sports bar, friendly bar tenders, excellent food, large game room, nice patio, lots of tvs, for the most part little drama. Fun atmosphere that is welcoming to everyone. read more

Hi i was a good customer of this bar. i am not not able to enter the bar any more because after i was assaulted in this bar by one of there customer (who grabbed me and kissed me right on the lips) they state I'm not allowed back into there bar . my boyfriend at the time which i am not dating anymore tried to fight the guy but could't get to him and punched a hole in there wall( my ex is Asian , I how ever is african american) There was so much going on that night but if you have a partner in there in trouble you try your best to help them. there were so many people coming at us this night after her punched the wall in i was trying to protect him . the lady which is a manager there told me i needed to tell her who he was because he got in his car in left. i told her no i wouldn't tell her anything. not at this time i had no idea who she was. so me in her exchange words she said i said something to her along the lines of shes treating me the way she was because im African american and i could have but she was being mean after im sitting there trying to explain i was just assaulted and you act like you don't care. some how she got in touch with my ex who is ''asian'' he paid the bar for the hole in the wall in guess what. guess whos not able to ever return to the bar. i will got the extra mile and everything it takes for people not to be treated by this bar the way i have i have got a lawyer in this treatment is unjust. out of all three parties because i have since talked to the guy that assaulted me im the only one of my nationality because the guy that assaulted me was white that isn't allowed back to this bar now people tell me how this is far. Pizza and Sandwiches are the best in the area! Clean and friendly atmosphere! Staff is very friendly and helpful. After multiple visits this year, I would highly recommend The Avenue! I will be going back many more times!! read more
