I have been going to see Dr. De La Paz for a few months now and I waited to write her a review until I had all of thoughts together. After several visits on my own, my mom decided to give her a try too after hearing how comfortable she's made me. I have to tell you that going to the dentist is probably one of my least favorite things to do but Dr. D makes it really easy. Her team works BEAUTIFULLY together and the staff members really treat each other like family which makes you feel extra comfortable in place you don't really want to be. Bring your checkbook or cash to save yourself the credit card fees. They offer an in-house plan that gets you your cleanings, and a discount on services which works well for those without dental insurance. They're a clean office with a team of people who genuinely care about you. I don't say this lightly; they really do care. I'm writing this to help others make an informed decision, because I wish I had known what I was getting into. 1 Safety Issues During Routine Care During a standard cleaning, a hygienist accidentally disconnected a drill bit inside my mouth and it dropped near my throat. Their only instruction was "Do not swallow." I had to sit up slowly and hope nothing caused internal injury. You shouldn't have to fear for your life during a routine cleaning. 2 Extremely High Staff Turnover & Lack of Continuity In just two years I have had four different dentists. Each time I had to re-explain my treatment plan because there was no handoff or follow through. One dentist even told me he was frustrated with the management here, and he left shortly after. It does not feel like anyone is accountable for a long term patient relationship. 3 A Costly Mismanaged Aligner Treatment I was sold a $3,000 orthodontic aligner treatment that a later dentist questioned as unnecessary. I started on a monthly payment plan but was pressured to pay the entire remaining balance halfway through. Once a third dentist reviewed the case, he expressed confusion about the treatment choice and pointed out that the previous dentist may not have even placed the attachment buttons correctly. The practice then switched to a different aligner company because the first system was not working. At that point it became clear the entire treatment had been poorly planned from the beginning. The new aligners didn't fit, so the treatment stopped entirely. I've now been waiting over four months for a refund on services they did not complete. I've only received vague, dismissive updates like "We'll look into it." Meanwhile, they have no problem repeatedly contacting you if you owe even a few dollars due to insurance adjustments. Bottom Line If you value: Consistent care Clear communication Professional management Respect for your time and financial investment ...then I recommend considering other dental practices in the area. I genuinely hope Station Dental improves, but based on my experience, I would not trust them with further care.

The practice presented both of us with treatment plans recommending thousands of dollars in dental work. We found this suspicious given that we had seen our previous dentist only six months prior with no major issues flagged. ​Once we received their recommended treatment plans in writing, we sought a second opinion from another dentist. As it turns out, none of the proposed work was actually necessary.
