I went to see Dr Heller and he made me feel bad for not having amazing oral hygiene habits. Even after explaining my inability to access dental care for a long time. He made sure that i knew that having a goal of healthy functioning teeth wasn't good enough. i should shoot for whiter straighter teeth. he said deemed a bunch of work as essential that other dentists had told me weren't necessary, in addition to 2 more deep cleanings (i just got one) and a waterpick. multiple other dentists the cleanings would not covered by insurance were "not necessary" before we can talk about the "expensive stuff" (the gum graft) truly felt like he was trying to squeeze any and every penny out of me with no bedside manner whatsoever.

The team at this dental practice is just amazing from Ilene in the business office to the reception staff to surgical dental assistant Adrian. I needed IV anesthesia and Ryan who made that happen was so kind. This team is professional, expert at what they do which is so important and they obviously love their work. Equally important to me was how caring Adrian and Dr. Riffel were to me before, during and after the surgery. I never felt judged by either of them about my anxiety. I was able to quickly get into see him for a second opinion, and his office staff is very friendly. He gave me a very candid and honest second opinion, so I scheduled treatment with him, and the procedure went smoothly. He made sure I was comfortable before and during the procedure, and I surprisingly didn't feel a thing while he was working on my gums. The night after the gum surgery I didn't feel any pain or discomfort, like I was afraid I might, after the local anesthetic wore off. He did such a great job, I'd definitely recommend him!
