My 2 year old daughter just started this school. This will be her second week. Now let me start by saying I am a controlling and paranoid mom! She is my only child and I was hesitant on even putting her in school this early. That being said, this place is AMAZING!!! My daughter not only LOVES going to school but she cries when it's time to pick her up!! Everything about this school blew my mind. Not only are the teachers sooo caring and patient with the children but they also put this paranoid mama at ease!! They have cameras that are so well placed everywhere that my child plays. I log on anytime I'm feeling anxious and see her playing. They also have an app where they update what your child did that day and upload photos!!! I am so very impressed by all the fun extra activities that the school brings each week for the kiddos. Last week they had a foam party, this week they had a reptile exhibit come to the school. I can't wait to see what is in store for the future! They feed the kids 2 meals and 2 snacks a day, which are healthy. I see them line the kids up to wash hands before and after they eat. My husband and I are so happy with Grandview House. Our daughter is thriving, happy, learning a lot, and above all else, is loved and cared for here. All of the teachers are wonderful and know the children, even the ones that aren't in their own classrooms. Teachers communicate with parents regularly, update us via an app and even text, and there are cameras that we can access to watch our kids throughout the day. My daughter happily runs in every day and is happy when I pick her up. Being here has also helped her try more new foods at home and has made her naps more routine and consistent. I've seen many positive changes in her since she started a few months ago and I would recommend this school to any parent with confidence. read more

Being an educator myself, this review is based on my professional and personal opinion; as well as my experience and observations at Grandview house preschool. Based on my observations in person and via the school cameras that parents have access to, this is not a developmentally appropriate environment. This is a developmentally restrictive environment. Children are subject to sit in one spot and entertain themselves with one small item that is given to them by a staff member that fits in their hand without any teacher interaction. Children's hands are not being washed before meal times or sanitized. In some cases, perhaps only being sanitized instead of using soap and water while soap and water and sinks are readily available and accessible, subjecting children to harmful chemicals. Meal times are served without having water or milk present on the tables, or any napkins or utensils available on the table for children. Children's are not offered or allowed to have water or milk while they eat because as I was told by a teacher there they don't want children to fill up on water and milk and not eat, however you cannot withhold water from children. That is a violation. harmful cleaning chemicals are used to sanitize classrooms and children are then brought inside the classrooms, being exposed to the damaging lingering orders. Teacher engagement and interaction is very limited, during meal times or free play teachers do not engage with children instead they chat with one another. My oldest child had a hard time adjusting to preschool when she started at three years old, but the teachers at Grandview House put us all at ease. Her teacher was very communicative with us about how she was doing, and met her where she was when she was having big feelings. In less than a month, she became fully invested in going to school and was clearly having a wonderful time. We're about to finish her first year and she's just blossomed. We are very happy with the environment the school nurtures for learning and play, the opportunities for extracurriculars and field trips, and the excellent lunch program. My son has been attending Grandview for going on two years. We were scared when he first started attending because he was only two years old. Ms. Alice did a great job of making us feel comfortable by periodically sending pictures of our son. Fast forward to year two, and he is still enjoying his time at Grandview. We have an open line of communication with Ms. Liza, and she provides my wife and me with important feedback on our son's development. While he has his three-year-old moments, the socialization he's getting at school seems to be very helpful. Look at the licensing violations they have. Out of ratio several times and put on probation. It's public info, use your resources. They cram as many kids as they can into a class just to squeeze every last dime out. I'm posting this as a warning to any parents who want to enroll their child at this preschool, and I'm using the word preschool lightly. I've noticed any negative reviews are immediately deleted, right after Lena rants and threatens parents. When you walk into this school, first look at the faces of the teachers. They all look miserable, not one smile, not a single greeting. The first day I took my son, nobody came to greet him or welcome him into the class. At one o'clock I was called to pick him up because he was crying and didn't want to nap, they never tried again after the first day and instead told me to pick him up at 11:45. There is no warmth, no love and no compassion even with the two year olds. It seems like the teachers are just there to fill the ratio quota and take pictures to post on their Shutterfly page. Alice has three golden children that she looks after, and if your child is not one of them then tough luck. After a month I pulled my child out because it seems like if they're not one of the cookie cutter kids, they're not wanted in the school. In addition to this, in the month my child was there not one drawing or art project came home. My next concern was the potty training. When I said I had potty trained my son at home and wears underwear now and is able to hold himself until he gets to a bathroom I was told to keep bringing him in pull-ups because he might have an accident and "get the rug dirty". Is there something I'm missing here? They have cameras in the school so you can watch your kids from an app but half the time the cameras don't work and you're told from the beginning not to call the school about it. This was one of the highlights of the school but don't put your hopes on it because it's non functioning half the time. The biggest red flag is Lenas demeanor and lack of professionalism. The way she goes on yelp and other online platforms and attacks parents with negative feedback is worrying. Instead of taking the comments and making changes to improve and grow, she lashes out. Lena this is not how a business, especially a preschool where children's lives and well being are entrusted with you, operates. read more

Grandview has provided me and my family with such an amazing experience. My son has been attending Grandview for nearly 8 months now and absolutely loves it. He comes home happy, energized and recaps us on his day. He loves his teachers and classmates. We love seeing him LOVE preschool and best of all we get to see him live whenever we want. We get email updates and pictures which is always great to see. Before finding Grandview, I was on edge due to a bad experience with our previous preschool. We needed a place that made my son feel safe, welcomed and included. We found that here and more. Mrs. Tamar and Mrs. Stephanie were amazing with him and comforted him whenever he needed it. They helped him find his voice. Our son has developed immensely in those 8 months from social skills, to expressing himself, indepenance and his vocabulary has grown exponentially. The additional planned activities are amazing. From field trips, mommy and me, daddy and me, Kung Fu classes, water play, holiday activities, carnival day, puppy play to name a few. They keep the children engaged and offer a uniquely wonderful experience. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a place for their child. read more

We love Grandview House Preschool at the Village. We enrolled our three year old after trying another preschool--where we did not have a good experience in the three year old class. We found Ms. Tamar and Ms. Stephanie - and they are so amazing! We have LOVED, LOVED, LOVED our experience with Grandview @ the Village. Ms. Tamar and Ms. Stephanie in the Lion's class are truly amazing women. Our son adores them both for different reasons, and he has grown so much over the last year. They have the right mix of love and boundaries that encourage toddlers to learn, grow, and thrive. We appreciate those qualities, and cannot thank Tamar and Stephanie enough! We just started the Elephant's class this school year (2019), and Ms. Erica and Ms. Melina are our son's new favorites. He enjoys the school day and has made good friends with the other children. Ms. Lena and Louie are easy to communicate with and available. They communicate with the construction process, the let us know what is happening with the school, and check in too make sure we are feeling comfortable about changes in staff or the facility. Our son loves them too. There are cameras to check in to see your little one, which offer comfort to parents who want to see what's happening in class. My son often asks how did you know? Did you see me on the camera? This makes for some great dinner time conversations. We have had no issues with access to the cameras. The teachers communicate on Shutterfly to send photos, reminders and help parents connect to each other. There are field trips, special activities, and memories being made as a community. The extended day option is helpful and the Kung Fo Moves teacher Savannah is also pretty awesome. She sends you emails about what the children learn, and my son loves show me his new moves. GHP is a wonderful preschool. All the teachers are warm, loving, and make learning fun! The energy of the whole school starts from the top with a dedicated director and that is clearly seen through all of the staff. I love the big tree the kids get to play under at the Pacific location, it makes the outside environment so playful. They go out of their way to have field trips and organize super fun parties for holidays. They even do a snow day in the winter, and this is nice for SoCal families that don't get to take their kids to the snow! My daughter went here for three years before kindergarten and my son started this year. This facility has been an absolute life changer. The staff are all wonderful with the children and my daughter's excitement about visiting her "old school" is a testament. All the teachers welcome her back with a hug and a smile. My son loves it here as well and sometimes it's hard to peel him away from the play yard. My two year old son completely opened up after attending for a few months. It's really great. The food is mostly (if not all) organic and apparently (according to my kids) the chef at school is a better cook than I am, which I am always offended by but am happy to hear they enjoy the food (it still hurts a little, but each time I take it a little better.) On several occasions I've emailed the school to get specific recipes the kids are requesting. As my 6 year old progresses through kindergarten I realize how invaluable her time at Grandview has been. Our experience at this school was horrible. We lasted a total of 2 days given how bad the circumstances were. On the first day, we were treated like trespassers because we were missing a form that I had already talked to Tamar, the director of the Kenneth village facility about. Needless to say, she had the form in her hand five minutes after walking in. The issue for taking our child out was not this form, however, it was the treatment of our child. If you're looking for a warm, nurturing, attentive environment, this is NOT your school. The director, Lena's attitude carries over to her entire staff. Lena's attitude and demeanor is clear in her responses to the negative reviews here, her comments on the nextdoor app, and the treatment of her neighbors in the Kenneth village area. She has set up quite the reputation for herself. On the second day of school, I observed my daughter on the cameras looking for attention from a teacher. She seemed like she needed to go to the bathroom, but the teachers were too busy cleaning up the cots. Specifically, Tamar, stepped around my daughter and started taking pictures of the other children to post on Shutterfly. When I walked in, my daughter was crying hysterically. My daughter has been attending school since she was 14 months old. She has never cried that way since she started school. I emailed Lena my concerns about her school and the treatment of my daughter and she replied back, standing by her staff, and indicated that she was treated this way because it was just "summer school" and that during the school year the children are greeted with banners and balloons. As a parent, I can care less about banners and balloons. I'd like the teachers to be attentive enough to a 2 year old on her second day of school looking for attention to go use the potty (located outside of the classroom) after nap time. Lena became quite hostile in our email exchange making the decision for me to remove my daughter from the school very easy. Since then, I have heard the same type of concerns from other parents. There are many parents who are not happy with Tamar's attitude and in fact called a meeting to address it. Lena dismissed the parents concerns and made excuses for Tamar due to personal matters in her life. Lena refuses to acknowledge anything negative about her school to make it a better environment for the children there. She stands by her staff, regardless of the issues, and makes excuses for them. When questioned about it, she resorts to name calling and takes a very unprofessional stance. I would not take a chance leaving my child in her hands after what I experienced in just a matter of 2 days. Go tour a bunch of schools, talk to parents, and do your research before enrolling your child here. read more

Grandview House Kenneth feels like you are leaving your children with family. I have 2 kids attending the preschool and I cannot think of anything negative to say about the teachers and the environment they create for my kids. We were on the waiting list for quite a while until they opened up the Kenneth location and it was worth the wait. The day after my daughter turned two she started attending along with my four year old who started last summer. Yes there is paperwork that needs to be completed and a long checklist of items that need to be taken care of but the teachers go out of their way to make sure we get them everything they need. I love that there are super clear cameras where I can check on my kids whenever I want. We are always kept in the loop with pictures, updates and calendars via a Shutterfly page. I am constantly asking questions and emailing the teachers and they always get back to me right away. My kids love their teachers and every single teacher at the Kenneth Village location is more loving and caring than the other. They are so good to my kids and always with a smile on their faces. Although there are other preschool options in the area that would be easier on my pocket I wouldn't feel comfortable sending my kids anywhere else. Lena, Tamar, Nicole and all the teachers know every single child by name and make my kids and myself feel like family. Even when there are times of frustration with processes or situations as parents we need to understand that the school and teachers are in most cases doing what they are required by law to do. They always do what is best for all the children and it is understandable sometimes as parents we are not going to be happy with how things were handled. I can't believe how lucky we were to send our daughter to Grandview House. After three years of love, guidance and learning she has graduated! She is bright, happy and loving. We owe her success to this school! From day 1, the director Lena provided a safe, nurturing environment for our daughter. She personally greats her students and parents, knowing their names and showing interest and care for them. My daughter and the other children run to her with open arms! We were thrilled when Director Lena said she was opening a second location in our beloved Kenneth Village. We are long time supporters of this neighborhood and we're so happy to see a beautiful school open in a blighted location. To hear the laughter of the children as we sip our coffee is priceless. I can't express our appreciation for her staff. Words simply cannot describe how wonderful each one every one of them is! We were fortunate to have three great years with these beautiful teachers! My only wish is that this school continued beyond pre-school. I wish we could have the opportunity to stay! It is now my daughter's 6th week at Grandview house preschool. I just wanted to share my experience with anyone who is starting his/her child for the first time in a preschool. My daughter has never been away from home (me, my husband or my parents). She turned 3 in May. I was very worried how she would handle being away from us. I first heard about Grandview house preschool when I was pregnant with her. One of my patients at work told me I had to look into this preschool that his daughter (now in elementary school) still talks about. Fast forward, I was at a Mother's Day luncheon, my daughter had just turned 2. A lady recommended Grandview house preschool to me. Fast forward another 6 months and a lady from my church told me about a great preschool that both her kids attend.. and I said, "let me guess, Grandview house?" The next month my husband and I scheduled a tour of the school at Kenneth village with Tamar. Everything those 3 individuals had said were confirmed that day. We decided to enroll our daughter but were wait listed because her class was full. She officially started on July 1 in their summer camp program. I think I was more nervous than she ever was. We dropped her off and she said bye to us without a tear in her eye. But of course as the hours went by she began to cry and ask for us. Teacher Tamar and Melina comforted her in such a loving way that within the first week she had already adjusted and was super excited to go to school the following days. Some of her comments: 1. I love teacher Tamar 2. Do you know how much I love teacher Melina? (Arms stretched out) 3. Mama if I don't go to school (sat & sun) I will miss teacher Tamar, teacher Melina and teacher Stephanie and they will miss me 4. When asked who her friends are at school "teacher Tamar" 5. Mama, me and one of my friends have our beds next to each other and teacher Tamar sits by us until we sleep 6. Is today water day?? I'm so excited 7. She re-enacts everything they do at school (story time, waking up from nap, calling everyone to sit on rug, etc.) In other words, she loves being there. Also, the fact that we can check in anytime through their surveillance gives me such peace of mind. The preschool is very clean and well-kept. The food is fresh and homemade (my daughter loves everything they serve). They're quick to respond to emails or concerns. They do their absolute best to accommodate any request. Grandview house is an answer to prayers and we are grateful to have found this gem. read more

we've been putting off writing this review for months and months now, but with much hesitation, as I do not like to give a poor review to any establishment, I think it's fair that I share our personal experiences over the course of two years with families to come. We're pretty well informed parents, nor are we naive or ignorant, we realize there is no such existence of a perfect school. Our experience started out ok at this school, we were first time parents, and our 2.5 year old seemed to like it there. we opted for this school because it gave us a part time enrollment option which worked well with our careers. I volunteered for every event and field trip (which i encourage you to do so that you're aware of everything happening) Fast forward to last year and beginning of this year, including the pandemic.... too many red flags began to concern us. keeping it short and to the point, supervision on the playground was not only scarce, but didn't seem like it was a priority! I've witnessed kids hitting each other, kids have fallen on their heads on ice, and kids crying relentlessly all while the teachers or their aids didn't feel the urge to even TRY to console the child!! The icing on the cake was when i pulled in one day after school, I noticed my friend's 3 year old crying in the middle of the playground with his pacifier and his blanket in his hand for 8 minutes!!! I timed it, cuz it takes that long to park, walk inside, sign out and come back out......when finally, as I was ready to walk out I yelled if anyone has any clue as to WHY this child has been crying for almost 10 minutes in the middle of the playground! then a teacher approached me, nonchalantly and said, "oh he does this everyday. he just wants his mom". I could not believe my ears!! I wanted to cry!! That's when we really began looking at other options. and while some schools don't do part time, I encourage you to pay the extra $200 for a full time option and avoid this trauma! Believe me, there's a ton out there. Don't make the same mistake we made! because that can be your child! My husband and I tried to get our $1050 back she took from us for enrollment for sept 2020, but she enforced her "no refund" policy, even though she collected mid Feb as apposed to mid March like she normally does. No empathy what so ever was shown when we expressed to her that both our businesses have been shut down due to the pandemic. She also uses her "non discrimination" policy to admit kids 2 to 3 times our children's ages to offer them an after school program. Same playground as our 2.5 and 3 year olds! Cut off is 5! not 8, or 9 or 10! This has nothing to do with discrimination. These are older kids with much much younger children. Their idea of organic nutrition are animal crackers from costco, and even though half the time my daughter would tell me there weren't any veggies or fruit served during lunch, Never once did we bother her with petty things, even though she made undelivered promises. Yet, during the pandemic, when issues and concerns arose and questions were being asked, we were either ignored or forwarded the CDC guidelines to.....which we all have access to cuz we're not dummies! All direct questions were dodged, never answered, yet false accusations, hostility and anger were expressed. Our concerns as parents, during these unprecedented times, were described as "ranting" in an email response that we eventually got. We've been told to look for another school last year when we brought up the $75 diapering fee that was charged for 2 DAYS of diaper change! Professionalism is clearly not an option. Families who did not make a contribution to teacher's appreciation day this year were also shamed in a mass email to the entire school while ONLY the names of families who contributed money were specifically thanked. At that point, we were really done with the aggressiveness and unprofessionalism expressed to us. And to be left out of a Thank you email because you're family is suffering due to a pandemic feels pretty crappy. I hope nobody experiences that. The reason for a two star review instead of a one, is because we made some really great friends there, 4 families we personally know that have placed their children in a different environment. ... also because a couple of the teachers their were pretty awesome! The pandemic put a whole lot into perspective for us and I'm relieved that we don't have to spend another 3 years there for my son and daughter. read more

I'm a third-year Grandview Parent and cannot say enough good things about this Center. I started my Oldest Son here as soon as he turned two and he is about to graduate to move on to Kindergarten, while his younger Brother is heading into his first year at Grandview House. The epitome of an educated and experienced early childhood development professional, Director Lena has taken every measure to create a warm, loving, enriching environment for its little Learners. She is passionate and enthusiastic about the Program she has created and ensures all Children and Parents are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect. Every Classroom is clean, organized and engaging. The Student to Teacher ratio is age-level appropriate and I've always felt my Son has been left in good hands. The Staff is qualified, nurturing and communicative. Each grade level has a well-structured Daily Schedule, with plenty of time devoted to group learning as well as free-play. In the first couple of years, the play-based curriculum focuses on basic life skills, language development, phonics, gross motor skills, creative problem-solving and laying the foundation of many years of education to come. In the third year, the goal is to prepare the Students for Kindergarten with extensive lessons in math, science, geography and pre-reading/writing skills. We have thoroughly enjoyed receiving our Son's Monthly Packet which includes all the worksheets, artwork and projects he has worked on, enabling us to monitor his growth and progress in all areas. No cost is spared here on the nutrition front as the Center provides Organic meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Snack) and ensures that the Class sits down to eat their meals together, as a unit, which is so essential to instill in children. Occasionally, we hear about a new vegetable he tried at School and love that the Children receive fresh fruit on a daily basis. Birthday Celebrations occur every month and the Student bakes their Cake onsite for their classmates to enjoy. It's always extra fun when a Parent provides a bounce house rental for the whole school to celebrate on their Child's Birthday. The Kids are encouraged to participate in a ton of fun activities like themed Scavenger Hunts, Singing/Dancing, Lunch Box Day (a crowd-favorite and always Nut-Free), Sportswear Day, Snow Day, Crazy Hair Day, Holiday Parties and so many more events that help these Kids form bonds. My Son has created so many wonderful Friendships at Grandview and has always looked forward to going to School. Consistent enhancements and upgrades are made to the playground and there are so many different areas to explore with a Clubhouse, Sandbox (with Trucks and Shovels galore), tons of tricycles, Ride-On Cars, Basketball hoop, climbing structure with slide, seesaws, and a Merry-Go-Cycle ride. Grandview partners with two Companies to offer after-school Sports options for its Students, including Soccer and Kung-Fu. Both are excellent programs and we've participated in every Session offered. Summer Camp here is a world of fun as the Kids enjoy water play with a giant Water Slide/Bounce House twice a week, regardless of the theme. Never a dull moment as all the Kids get to experience a lot of STEM enrichment activities, sports, fitness, and even cooking. Having read some of the negative reviews below, I can confirm that these are anomalies, and more than likely, are coming from unreasonable people. Do 2-year-olds cry for their Parents the first six months of school? Yes, many of them do and it's totally normal until they adjust. Do kids sometimes fall or sustain an injury during these early years? Absolutely! Have you seen how 2/3-year-olds walk/run? Not once have I witnessed any sort of neglect or unprofessionalism from Lena or her Staff. Having lived through both pre- and post-Covid environments at School, I can confidently say that pandemic-height decisions and subsequent post-pandemic-height policies and protocols were handled seamlessly. Bravo! Reflecting on our First-Born's three-year journey at Grandview House, it's been an outstanding experience and we are confident he's ready for Kindergarten. While we're sad he will be leaving the School, we're thankful that we have another three years here to watch our youngest Child flourish! read more

So sooo happy GHP opened their second location. My middle child went to the location on Pacific and graduated ready for kinder. Her kinder teacher was impressed with how prepared she was. Now with this location, it's seconds from our house and couldn't be happier to know my youngest will be able to not only go to GHP but it's so close to our home. I even went by to take a look at the new place and it's amazing. The outdoor space and great classrooms. Not to mention, the staff. Everyone was and continues to be so welcoming. We have truly enjoyed our experience with Grandview House (Pacific location) so far, and knowing the values the school stands for, I'm sure it will be a pleasant experience for the rest of our journey as well. When we were trying to decide on a preschool for our firstborn, we were pretty anxious. We had a certain criteria in mind, with the most important of it being a play-based program which also doesn't sacrifice enrichment. We love the Grandview House for that. We appreciate the lively and energetic atmosphere along with carefully designed curriculum. My son comes home talking about topics of the week and often surprises me with the vocabulary and information around the subject. Being a first-time mom, it was also very important for me for the school to have cameras. We've had minimal issues with the cameras at the beginning of the last year due to all parents logging in to check on the kiddos, but it hasn't happened since. We have clear camera views whenever we check and sometimes just a simple reloading fixes the issue. I do not believe that nothing bad can happen at a school that has cameras and not at all implying that the schools that don't offer cameras are not reliable. When you offer camera access to anxious parents of toddlers, you are putting yourself in a position that can easily be flooded with complaints/concerns. We really appreciate Grandview's choice to provide camera access. I check on my kiddo frequently, not because I'm worried about him, but just that I miss him so much and love seeing his interactions with friends. This way I easily open up conversations when he comes home. This past year with the Pandemic was tough on everyone and we were impressed by how frequently and promptly Grandview stayed in touch with families and considered everyones opinion on every step. We loved the cautious approach of Grandview during Covid and all the safety and sanitization protocols they implemented. As for the staff, they treat us like family. I'm one of those mothers who frequently checks in with teachers as my son is pretty sensitive. I've never once been treated like I was being a burden or that the concern of mine was not important. The administrative side is also smooth and prompt. Kids complain, cry, fall down. They have days that they don't want to go to school, but all that is part of their development. Having said that, I never take my kid's concerns lightly, and whenever I have brought up anything with the teachers, I have been nothing but grateful and impressed with the response. We found this school during covid and fell in love with the facility and staff instantly. I'm not sure there are words I can use that can proper express how grateful we are to have found Grandview house during such a stressful time for our then 4 year old. His teacher, Ms Liza, welcomed him with big wide opened arms and treated him as if he had been a part of the school for many years prior. It's clear Ms Lena, the owner, takes pride in her business by hiring excellent, loving and nurturing staff and ensuring the facility is always clean and hygienic. There hasn't been a day that we haven't been greeted with smiles and hellos. We are going to be sad when our time at this school is over, my only regret is not starting here sooner. They made the BEST out of a bad situation with covid, my son didn't get sick once all year. Not even a cold! And most importantly, after being suddenly torn from his previous school do to the virus and spending months at home confused and sad, he was finally able to be himself again and feel safe in school again. Bottom line: The teachers are kind and they don't speak poorly to children The kids get tons of playtime inside and out The meals are healthy and my picky eater enjoyed them They have cameras set up in and around the classrooms so if you feel like checking in you can They offer so many fun extra activities (snow days, bouncy houses, PJ days etc) Education is taught in a way that is tailored to the child's needs They make sure to keep it clean Communication with staff is easy and encouraged read more

We love Grandview House! We have had our son in Grandview for the past 3 years and have been extremely happy with his growth and development. A friend highly recommended the school to us and we are so glad that we decided to enroll him. The negative reviews don't reflect our experience at all. Lena is a wonderful director and has always answered our questions and concerns in a kind and professional way. She is on top of everything and you can see that she puts her heart and soul into her job. I can't say enough about the teachers and staff as well (Shout out to Ms. Liza!) they are dedicated to childhood development and care very deeply about their students. We have had no problems with communication or any feeling that they have been neglectful. We were also impressed with how they handled business durning the pandemic. We were kept up to date on the latest guidelines and protocols and we felt very safe sending our son back. We love the balance of learning and play and are so happy with all the friends he has made during his years at Grandview House. 5 Golden Hearts for this AMAZING school. My son, Raphael, started at Grandview House in Kenneth village when he was 2 years old and will sadly be graduating out this summer to go into Kindergarten. I have tested out 2 other preschools in the area before with my other children and I can guarantee that this by far the best one! First of all - all the staff and teachers are so caring - Lena, Tamar, Angela, Mary, Anica to name a few that have helped my son to blossom over these past few years. When my son started at GHP he was barely speaking. Every week the children work on different themes and truly develop a wonderful vocabulary. I'm stunned by his language proficiency now! Every month I get to see all the work that Raphael has done in class - drawings, writing practice and more. In addition to this the school organizes fun parent-accompanied field trips (outside of Covid of course!) which also helps to bring the school community together. My son is so enthusiastic when it's time to go to school and runs in without even looking back. What a gem! We're so happy that friends told us about Grandview House Preschool in Kenneth Village. We moved to Glendale a few years ago and wanted a school close to our house that is play based yet mixes some fun academics. We got that and more! The staff are super nurturing and the campus is extremely clean. The children always have a fun activity to do in the morning when we arrive and they often have music playing as you walk in to school. Further, we love that our daughter gets a yummy organic breakfast and lunch at school as this is a huge time saver for us getting 3 kiddos ready for school in the morning. The meals are included in your monthly tuition which is extremely reasonable. Lastly, our daughter often comes home singing Armenian and Spanish songs which we absolutely love!! She's being introduced to other languages and cultures and friends have been blown away by how well she can sing some of these songs. This school makes me wish I was 3 again! read more

Let me just start off by saying don't let any comments here dissuade you from enrolling your child at this school. I'm not affiliated with the school administrators or owner in anyway so my viewpoint is entirely impartial and my opinion is candid. I think it's incredibly unfair to provide feedback that is one-sided because it can potentially, and very unfairly, influence parents who would otherwise find their child thriving at this incredible environment. We enrolled our daughter in summer camp in Mrs. Alice's Monkeys class and we're so extremely pleased with how loving, caring, patient, and compassionate the teachers and staff are. We weren't sure what our experience would be because we read some disappointing comments here that were completely the opposite of what we experienced. We instead found a school that offered way more than any other school with comparable price rates or even more pricier options, and believe me we did our research. They have loving staff who are beyond qualified in child rearing/development, a stimulating and nurturing environment, play centered learning opportunities indoor and outdoor, a huge playground (wow), a huge kitchen with a cook who provides your child delicious meals (breakfast, lunch, snack), cameras that work perfectly fine so you can obsessively watch your child and observe her having a wonderful time, a Shutterfly page where teachers post pictures every two days so you can see all the amazing activities your child experiences, opportunities to connect with other parents, themed activity days such as magic show or pet doggy days. What more could you ask for? Obviously they go above and beyond!! At the full time price rate- it's a bargain! No really, search elsewhere. I have mom friends who don't have these perks at their children's preschools. I am proud and extremely happy our community has this lovely school in our neighborhood and for that, I'm thankful to the owner, administrators, teachers, and staff. You will not find other schools that offer this sense of security that when you leave your child you know she's in safe hands. And let's face it, preschool is expensive but at the full time price here, wow you get so much in return. You get quality and value and a great strong sense of security with cameras. I have yet to find another school nearby with cameras. That's huge! And aside from all those reasons, the philosophy at this school is totally aligned with our family's viewpoint of child development and the importance of play-centered learning opportunities (including sensory, fine motor skills, and all that good stuff). I highly recommend this school to any parents as two mom friends did for me! Go for it and enjoy!!! Don't be weird and picky and overly obsessed with this decision. It's one you will be very happy you made with no regrets. And by the way, we're enrolled at the Pacific location but I heard Kenneth is also awesome. read more

My daughter had the best experience at Grandview Preschool and even after 3 years she still talks about it. The school is run by one of the most caring directors I have ever met and the same goes for the teachers. And on top of that they serve healthy and organic food unlike a lot of other schools. If I could give it a 10 star rating I would! read more
