We solicited more than 15 companies to come out and develop proposals for us. It was quite the experience good, bad and ugly including time wasters and charlatans. We met some great people and the best were Zebra Landscapes and Manzanita Landscapes for what's turned out to be an enormous undertaking. But from the beginning Nethan was patient, an excellent listener, responsive, knowledgeable, confident, understanding and competent. He made many visits over many months to earn our confidence and our business. Work began three weeks ago at the very end of October 2023. Work will finish in 2-3 weeks. Includes turf, pavers, spa, Gazebo, huge trees, irrigation, massive lighting, putting green, campground for grandkids, fire features, extensive fencing, huge amounts of fill and dirt and much more. Initially we were very impressed with Zebrascapes. We had some sick trees and although it was…read morepricey we didn't want to lose our trees so paid for and received the anti fungal treatment. We decided to hire Zebrascapes for an every other month landscape maintenance. We have 1/2 acre but it's very low maintenance, no fancy trimming just basic light trimming if needed, check irrigation system lines and all heads, make sure automated system is set properly, cleanup debris and spray for weeds when necessary. This very basic stuff wasn't being done. The workers never seemed to know what to do and asked us each time. We hired them to be proactive and bring to our attention what was needed not the other way around. Then when we did ask for something like re-staking a tree that was already staked but needed straightened they said they didn't have the equipment to do that and they said we needed to call the office and request it and they were there on our property! I prearranged for them to cut a small dead limb off a tree and I showed it to them and then when they were about to drive away I went out to check and it had not been done. I caught them and they said they forgot. Our automatic irrigation was affected by a breaker switch and reset to off and we were unaware and the crew failed to check to see that it was working like they are supposed to per our agreement so our trees and plants didn't get water for a month! If we ourselves didn't figure it out who knows how long it would have gone without water. Ultimately after leaving messages, sending emails and not getting any responses about our concerns and reaching voicemails that were full and feeling like we were paying $250 per month (which was supposed to be every other month) for a couple guys to leaf blow our patios we canceled our service. Even the follow up asking for a confirmation email of our cancellation never happened as promised. They definitely don't act like they need our business.

As they drive up to work, 30-40 min before they actually start working, if you can call it working, they have their windows open blaring loud music. I mean at 6:30 AM waking up the neighborhood. One worker actually told my neighbor to F himself at that early hour, when asked to be quiet! So for $20K+ and 3-4 weeks of aggravation, we now have a retaining wall. Please do NOT hire thIs company (band of lazy fools)! BTW, who is Pat? We never met him.
