Mixed experiences here. The merchandise is of high quality and my past selections worked out well…read more I like seeing the Daltile products in my home. However, my most recent experience did not lead to a purchase. This business operates by appointment only, and an employee has to look up the price of everything. This makes it hard to design on a budget. If you choose something and find out it's too expensive, you have to start over. I wanted to look at Daltile's merchandise and develop my vague design idea with the help of an employee. The employee seemed impatient with my idea and price questions. The employee's ideas weren't bad, but I wanted a completely different style and color scheme from the suggestion that kept coming my way. This business won't sell directly to the homeowner. If you want to create your own design, you might spend a couple of hours at Daltile looking at merchandise and getting an initial price. Then your contractor has to place the order. Then you as homeowner get a "discount." What's behind this cumbersome process? It makes sense if the contractor spends time creating the design, but not if you develop the design at Daltile. Probably the best use of this business model is to have the contractor do all of the designing and ordering. If you trust your sense of design, it's faster and cheaper to buy tile at a hardware store or online. For this project, I ended up spending two happy hours staring at tile at a big-box store and bought some tile there. Then I went to another tile business, where an employee helped me with the emerging design, and bought the rest. Everything I bought at both of those other places was in stock. As with all design work and product research, you'll want to determine the value of your time and skill, your contractor's time and skill, and the merchandise you are choosing.

Wow. Yes you do need an appointment -- but well worth the phone call…read more What a great experience with Mary. Tile selection was amazing. Mary helped guide my choices to create several cohesive looks. She also provided guidance, e.g., pointing out when tile finishes would make for a slippery floor. Pricing was also made available.

I ordered 10 laundry cabinets on or about 1/17/25. I ordered them through Abdi Gesey and was told…read more all the cabinets were in stock and they could be delivered after assembly - about 7-10 days. That was plenty of time for me to get prepped and get project completed before my customer had to leave a deployment (mid March) which I informed Abdi of this situation. After about a week - Abdi called and said the upper cabinets on the main wall were back ordered and will take some time to get but he could exchange the 2 24" and 1 18" for 3 21's. That worked because I couldn't afford a delay even though it meant cabinets wouldn't line up with corresponding base's. about 2 weeks later - delivery....But the 2 30" uppers that go over W&D were back ordered. Didn't find out until delivery. a couple more weeks go by and I call - by the way - I always had to call him - he never returned a call from me, I always had to call back. (Always). I reminded him of my time line and waited. I finally had to make a decision so I could finish project before owner left for deployment for 11 months. We decided to just put shelves over W&D. I called Abdi and told him. He said they might already be putting them together. I told him I had to cancel those 2 as I had no more time. He said he would do what he could do and get me refunded. 4 days later I get a call that they are delivering the 2 cabinets. I refused delivery, not only because I no longer need them and he acknowledge he would stop order, but I was completed with the job and no one would be able to accept delivery. I talked again to Abdi and he said the process would take a little time but be patient. I called him today 3/12/25 - Almost 2 months in and he said he could not refund the 2 cabinets as they tried to deliver and I refused. Not to mention, again, I had to call him - but there was no reasoning with him. I really love the cabinets and thought I found a new supplier but unfortunately the customer service is the worst. I was lied to multiple times and calls were never returned. I am out over 500.00 now. I do not even have the cabinets to use elsewhere - all because of the lack of communication and being deceived. They really need new management - and maybe someday have a quality business. 2 star only because the cabinets are very nice. Customer service is essential. RT
