Totally disappointed. This place has great dentists and hygienists BUT their billing is deceiving. They purport that they accept all insurances so you assume that when they tell you you won't have to pay for basic services that you won't have to pay. Unfortunately... I received a large bill. Come to find out that only Delta is "preferred" and they did not accept my insurance's fee schedule. Even though they informed me that the X-rays, initial appointment, and cleaning were free, the services turned out to cost around $300. I tried to tell the billig department that I was told it was going to be free but the company line is that everything is an estimate and that my insurance coverage is between the patient and their insurer. Pretty sad especially when you agree to services because you are told they are free. Went to this place for over 20 years...never again. read more

Highly responsive team. Polite, friendly, clean office, very organized even while extremely busy. Prompt responses with request for records and/or x-rays. Very attentive team who makes you feel comfortable and explains everything when you ask questions. These are dentists you can trust & feel safe with & trust that they will do the right thing. Hygienists are friendly, do a thorough cleaning, and are very precise with updating medical records. They are out of network, but do submit claims on your behalf. They also have a great email system with reminders for appointments. I've been going there for approximately 10-12 years. Top quality all around. They make me smile! read more

I was ver disappointed with your services. After having to wait a copious amount of time in the waiting room I finally met with my dentist. As the appointment progressed I did start to notice something though. My dentist was touching me a lot. I know that dentists need to touch your mouth to do their job but it was a lot of unnecessary touching. He was also making many inappropriate jokes and comments during my appointment. I wish I had gotten his name so I could have lodged a report but I was to stunned by what was happening. Please train your dental professionals on this so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. I do want to end on a positive not though and say that the dental hygienists are very nice and patient. read more

Do not use this dental office! If you call with a problem the office manager will promise the dentist will call you back but your teeth will fall out before you ever get a call. They take your money but not your phone call. read more

30 years ago I relocated here and asked a coworker for a referral to a dentist. Although she wasn't a patient of this practice, she had sold supplies to them and stated they were professional and well run. In all these years, I have never been disappointed. My daughter has been a patient since she was a baby and with all the preventive care she has perfect teeth at age 21. I've needed a lot of work, unfortunately, and Dr. John J Ahern has taken excellent care of me every time. He is warm and caring. They have a full staff of hygienists as well as dentists, and refer for dental surgery. And just as my coworker said, the whole patient experience is smooth and well run, from scheduling to billing to handling emergencies. read more

Our family has been patients of Ahern, Nichols, Ahern, and Hersey for many years. The care is always top notch. Today, I had to undergo root canal surgery, the first ever in my 60+ years on this earth. I am very happy to say that the incredible care that Ahern, Nichols, Ahern, and Hersey shows to its patients also extends to the endodontic staff, headed up by Dr. Mario Abdennour. I hated going to the dentist, until I found Ahern, Nichols, Ahern & Hersey. More specifically, until I started seeing Marie for my hygiene visits. She listened to my concerns and we developed a treatment plan that keeps my teeth healthy. I haven't had any issues since beginning treatment at this office about 10 years ago. I've since moved out of Derry and no longer work in town either, but I will keep making the trip to this office as long as they are in operation. I recommend them to anyone who will listen!
