They have the worst service ever, MUCH MORE expensive that other companies and their internet services is terrible. It is VERY slow and disconnect very often. I have a food business in a shopping center and many of the other stores have the same complains. If you want a little faster service (not even what other companies offer you for almost half the price) you need to pay even more. Me as well as some of the other stores have lost money and customers, specially in this Covi 19 times when we depend on on line order for take out and delivery. When you call customer service they sound very nice but never resolve your problem and if you want a technician to go and take a look, their fees are veeery expensive. If I could give zero stars I would. If anyone is reading this stay away from using this company. A complete joke as I had setup my internet and phone service to be completed more than a month ahead of time and of course the week of the install I get excuses that it cannot be completed and awaiting updates. Now waiting for over two weeks without an update. I am handcuffed as the mall I have my business in will only allow Granite to be used. I have climbed up the totem pole with management and nothing has been done to expedite the service or any urgency from their end. I feel I am dealing with robots with this company as I get the same answers from each level. I own a store in my local mall in Charleston, SC. The mall recently signed an exclusivity contract with them to provide internet services, and I have been nothing but disappointed. First, the price for internet was double what any other telecom company quoted me and they wanted to charge a whole $200 install. I was willing to bite all of those bullets, but the Real Kicker is this: They promised a 2 week install time (which is already incredibly long by most companies standards), and a month later I'm having to call and ask what happened to my application. My account manager repeatedly ignored all of my calls and emails, and the only help that I found was after spending hours on the phone with customer service department in Boston. If you run or manage a local shopping center, stay away from these people. read more

We switched our service from AT&T to Granite four months ago. Ever since that time I have had to fight them constantly to get their bills inline with the quote and it still hasn't happened. They also charge for outside line repairs whereas AT&T does not. They said it was a charge passed along to the customer; when I asked for verification they refused to provide it. This company is TERRIBLE. Their customer service is the worst I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The mall where our store is located (Redding, CA) also signed an exclusivity contract with them, and it has been an absolute nightmare from the beginning. The prices are outrageous. We ended up getting charged over $250.00 per month for a single land line. When I suggested it must be in error, I was told that was the cheapest level of service in that area. We had two other locations that were using Granite for a land line, and those charges were less than $60. After many emails, they finally agreed to charge us around $80 (after telling me that $250 was the cheapest). However, since the invoices had slipped through our approval process and were getting paid at the higher rate for about 1 year before it was noticed, they would not give any credits except 2 months worth. I have sent over a dozen emails asking for help with other billing issues, and I always get the same answer... 'management is looking into it' or 'it is still in process'. There were promises of phone calls, but they never were fulfilled. We are going to ask the mall we are in to grant us a waiver so that we can get our services somewhere else. Avoid this company! Deceptive business practices! First, they quoted me a monthly fee for two phone lines that was much lower than the amount on the invoices that came later. I decided to switch to a new company over 3 months ago. I have tried repeatedly to have the lines disconnected. They have not disconnected them and continue to invoice me. These guys are out of their mind, we still haven't gotten back to us about why they charged us $311.xx starting July as our internet and voice installation only gotten to work around 8/15 and met with a very rude third party technician, who tried to rob our money, and very bad communication experiences coupled with unsuccessful attempts , yet i received another crazy invoice today of $1101,xx attached, all these charges was never revealed nor explained to us, this is most ridiculous and unprofessionalism thing I ever encountered with your internet company. We could have Comcast or Verizon and I dont know why our landlord Macerich picked them. That's the stupidest decision ever made and any 3 years old can know better who is enemy and who is friend. After switching to a different provider over 1 year ago, two accounts have finally been closed. Yes, it took a year to close out two accounts with terrible customer service filled with empty promises. Payments will be made but yet bills will continue to come, they will promise to waive fees but yet send you a bill for fees on top of the fees that were to be waived. (Evidence in writing through email from their customer service team that fees would be waived do not mean a thing) When email didn't work, phone calls to their customer service department were also terrible. Their department is instructed to tell you they will look into the matter and give you a call back....as you can see, no calls were ever returned as we have been trying to get rid of Granite for over a year!!! Do yourself a favor and chose another company to avoid the headache and extensive fees. read more

We have Granite for my hotel and we had the worst experience in trying to set up a phone line for international calls. The line was set-up and then the next day the customer said their calls were not going through. Turns out the Fraud Department, without even asking us, simply blocked the outgoing calls. Four days and still not resolved - unbelievable! read more

I own two retail stores in Michigan and have never dealt with a company with such over priced poor and slow service. My monthly cable and phone with Granite at store #2 is $226.56, my monthly phone and cable bill with Store #1 is $120.42. On top of the $226.56, Granite charged me $1800.00 for install and activation. All wires and equipment were already in place and just need to be activated. Unfortunately, Granite has a lock on the mall I operate in, so I can not go with another provider, hence the outrageous prices. read more

Do not waste your time and money with Granite. I'm a small business owner and my store was planning to switch our Internet service from AT&T to Granite. On Feb. 15, the Granite offered us $139/month for Internet and Phone line service with 3-year contract, so I signed it. However, after waiting more than 1 month, on Mar 27, 2019, Granite came and failed to install the Internet service at my store. So, I called/emailed them to find out why they failed it and nobody from Granite gave us clear answer. So, I emailed them to cancel my 3-year contract since they couldn't provide us the service. But, without any response on my email, somehow they just sent us an invoice of $2100. So, I called/emailed them again explaining the same situation and asked about the invoice but Granite said that the service is active on their side and I didn't follow their instruction so I need to pay the bill. Again, I provided them the proof that we did everything as they directed (Granite thought that our router was the problem and told us to buy a new one from Bestbuy so I bought a new router they want and nothing changed) but the service still didn't work and asked to cancel the 3-year contract once again. Then Granite sent us the Letter of Disconnect with $3600 early termination fee. So, I contact them again and refused to sign the paper, and then one of Granite customer service supervisor named, Craig Levine, said that he will see what can be done with that termination fee once I sign the paper with $3600 termination fee on it. I kept on refusing to sign and they continue to force me to sign the paper with early termination fee on it, otherwise they will keep adding the charges for each month service fee which we don't have. It has been more than 3 months of sending emails back and forth. They have been very rude and never listen our words eventhough we provide the evidence. read more

Even with obvious evidence through emails I kept with them quoting me a different price they refuse to accept that they are trying to charge more than what was agreed to. Months to get the install right, then I was told "call a week before you want to cancel", so I did...now I'm told it takes a full MONTH for them to cancel the service, & I will be charged for the month also! Are they so ancient that they can't stop service with the push of a button, at least until they get out for the full uninstall? Horrible service. I was considering staying with them, but nope. Called asking questions at my workplace about the company I work for. When I didn't know an answer, I honestly and politely told the caller (who, by the way, never introduced himself or his company and started by blasting out questions rudely) I would have no idea about that. He jumped down my throat, told me he was just asking questions - would I possibly have time to do my job & hung up on me. What a HORRIBLE PERSON! If this is how they introduce themselves to potential customers (ailbet, caller id did that for me) how do they treat their current customers? Horrible customer service. I took over a business that was using Granite and contacted them three times over two months to check on increasing the speed of my internet service. No one would call me back. I switched to another carrier in January. On 2/12/18 I called them because I received another bill. They opened a ticket to disconnect my service but never followed up on it. I received another bill in March and am being told that even though they made a mistake I still owe for another month. It's amazing to me that a company with this poor of customer service remains in business. read more

We were promised lower cost, good customer service and one easy place to handle all of our telecommunications but they didn't deliver. Cost was quoted low but come to find out didn't include all line charges. Was told no contract and month-to-month but that just gave them the ability to raise the price every month because tariffs went up. Never see it going down one month... Billing was awful to deal with and changes took forever to implement. Prices were different at each location I have. No one takes ownership and they don't try to accommodate the customer when there is a problem. Needless to say I cancelled. Month to month turned out to be a good thing because I'm done with them. Granite Telecommunications uses bait and switch tactics when pricing their telecommunication services. We were quoted a certain amount for phone lines in our restaurants and received a bill 10 times the amount. When this was reported to Granite Telecommunications they only slightly lowered the bill and claimed they could not find the quote which they used to structure the billing. Upon checking the phone lines in the bill I found Granite Telecommunications added phone lines that were not requested and billed us for those lines as well. At no time did Granite ever present a ill for the quoted amount nor did they remove the phone lines from the bill that we did not request nor knew existed until billing. we also requested that Granite Telecommunications not port any of our phone numbers until we had a chance to verify which phone lines were under contract with other carriers. Granite Telecommunications disregarded this request and ported all numbers causing us to incur early termination fees. read more
