I told them repeated I was in pain management and they needed to know. I called them and talked to them about the situation and she said no problem, I didn't need to call again. the kidney doctor prescribed Hydrocodone for 7 days, which the kidney doctors nurse said I had to fill because the doctor had ordered it. So when I went to Commonwealth I got the fifth degree on how I had enough to cover the pain that month. They gave me pain meds in the hospital for the three times I went there. They gave me 7 days of a stronger pain med which I cut in two. I had a couple of pills I keep in my purse for emergencies- just like this one. i couldn't get out of the house for a couple of weeks. When I told him I had a couple of pills in my pocketbook for an emergency- you would have thought I was running a drug cartel. I could go on, but he really talked down to me- I have a better degree than this nurse practitioner. I have to pay someone to drive me, and was not getting calls in on my new iPhone. The prefect storm. No sympathy, no attempt to understand. I have never been treated with contempt before. I'm looking for another pain management clinic.

The reception area folks were kind and pleasant. I had to wait around 40 minutes before being taken back. For an immediate care, I definitely wasn't expecting a shorter wait time. Once taken back, I was greeted with by a smiling nurse who took my vitals and put me in a room. Soon after, Melanie the APRN came in. She was so kind. She listened to all of my concerns and symptoms. Her exam was thorough. She diagnosed me with bronchitis. She then sked me about my preferences for medicine and sent me on my way with lots of informational handouts. This was a great visit. The immediate care is clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Many responsibilities are not consistently completed because temporary assistants can only do so much while actively caring for patients. Office management is not stepping in to cover those responsibilities, and the doctors are focused on treating patients. not only that but I have yet to get my last check with no communication from HR or the office. One of the most concerning things I observed was the sterilization logs. According to the records I reviewed while working there, instrument sterilization and maintenance procedures had not been properly completed for approximately two months. That is unacceptable in any dental office. What frustrated me most was the double standard. Office management was frequently late and missed numerous days, yet remained employed without consequences. Meanwhile, dental assistants who were only a few minutes late even after regularly arriving early and working hard for the office faced disciplinary action or termination. There is nothing wrong with having rules, structure, and accountability. Every workplace should have them. The problem is when those standards only apply to certain employees. When management is held to one standard and everyone else is held to another, it stops feeling like a professional workplace. Between the staffing issues, payment problems, lack of accountability, and overall management, this office felt more like a circus than a professional business. That is all I have to say.
