I went to Grannys donut this morning, hoping to get some delicious donuts and some coffee. Once I drink some of their coffee, it tasted like pure water. I asked the person behind the counter to taste the coffee because it taste like water. He took a sip of it and said it taste just fine and that the coffee that I'm used to was just stronger.. I do drink coffee daily, but typically the coffee that I drink taste like actual coffee. The coffee literally tasted like water minus it being brown. Then after I watched him, add more grounds and make a better batch from my car. It's just so disappointing that he couldn't be honest and at least say I apologize. Let me make you a fresh batch. Instead, he pretended that his water tasting coffee was just fine. The coffee was just under three dollars for a small and 100% not worth it. read more

Staying at Great Wolf Lodge for a couple of nights, I noticed there was a Dunkin' located on the premises. I've never been a huge fan of their donuts so after a quick Yelp search, I notice Granny's Donut's was a short 10 minute walk. So I took the concrete journey to Granny's and it was worth every step! Friendly and engaging customer service made ordering simple and fast. The cake and fried donuts were so much better than anything I could have gotten from Dunkin'. The surprise item I really enjoyed was the ham and cheese croissant. We ate the croissant the next day but it was still very flaky, tasty, and was a nice alternative to the food options at the lodge. If you're staying a couple days at Great Wolf and you're willing to brave the semi-sketchy walk, Granny's Donuts is worth the effort. If you're driving to Granny's then for sure make it a pit stop! read more

Small local shop and donuts are good and the size was bigger than the ones I'm used to (Krispy Kreme, Winchelles, Dunkin' donuts, etc) Kids approved. Asked them to compare these to the above brands and they preferred the donut they had from this shop. For those whom are wondering, these donuts that I purchased were not cake, dense like as some like their donuts this way. It's fluffy, light, airy with a little density with a nice chew and not as sweet as Krispy Kreme as one of the kids described their chocolate bar (sweetness is relative). I thought it was overall sweet like any donut is. And not sure of other donuts. These pertains to the chocolate/white/glazed donuts with confetti and chocolate bar. They have regular size donuts too but did not try those. Also got a croissant ham, bacon and cheese sandwich and the person at the the counter (assuming owner) asked if I wanted a couple of pepperoncini and mayo with the sandwich which was a nice touch, making sure I didn't want something in it like mayo without me asking about it. Surprised it's taken me this long to write a review for this place considering how frequent I come here before work. So they are located very close to where I work. I don't buy donuts by the dozen for my coworkers but would just pop in here for donut holes or a twist or branch off to the numerous selection that they have. Always have never disappointed. I guess the only disappointment is when they run out of donut holes but that's usually because I have a later shift so they are all gone. Granted while I don't live near to the location, I have introduced family and friends to Granny's donuts. They've all enjoyed them and have been pleasantly surprised compared to other local donut shops around town. Small, classic SoCal looking donut joint in a little strip mall a couple miles from the Disneyland Park entrance. In addition to traditional donuts, they have a variety of breakfast and lunch croissant sandwiches with meats, cheeses, eggs and/or vegetables. I heard great things about this place so I came in. I saw this place closed at 6PM so I came in at 5:35 PM. The lights were dimmed and more than half of the donuts were thrown out. The girl told me they're already closed. I'm sitting in the parking lot right now and it's 5:43 PM and she's locking up the store and getting in her car. This place is great! It is a family run business and i have been coming here for quite some time to grab the fluffy sugar coated treats that my team loves so much. They are always friendly and remember everyone's names that come in! I always get 2 dozen donuts and a ham and cheese croissant when i come in and everything is always delicious! (you have to get the croissant! It is amazing and I have ordered that from many places but it's the best here) One morning I was there at 5:00AM... He was surprised to see me; he set up my usual order and just handed me a ham and cheese croissant because he had just baked them and they were hot. This place has been my favorite donut shop ever since I moved into the area 5yrs ago. Now you may be wondering why I'm leaving 4 stars for my favorite place. Favorites doesn't have to be 5 star everything if 1 thing is great, however, I left a 4 because I want the place to improve. Your glazed donut and strawberry strussel are the best. Your strawberry and cream cheese croissant leaves some to desire. The dough needs to be thinner, more flakey...like literally more croissant like..since it is a croissant right? They offer your standard variety of donuts and add some of the standard fancier donuts that include: Maple with bacon, Oreo and others. The prices are excellent and everything tasted fresh. Don't sleep on this gem! Sure they don't have any over-the-top decorations on their donuts or fancy flavors, but they have your classics that are made well. Aside from donuts, they offer coffee, sandwiches, and smoothies! If you're traveling through, rest ssured that they accept credit cards despite being a smaller business. While it's not the kind of place you go to for the 'gram, it's delicious donuts for a reasonable price. I've found that my favorite item after a couple visits is the jalapeno ham and cheese croissant (They also have a regular ham and cheese croissant for those adverse to peppers). When the nice lady who works here asks if you would like it heated, definitely do it! It's even better when the cheese is a little oozy. I'll definitely be coming back soon.
