One of the best donut shops I have ever tried; best donuts in Anaheim, in my opinion. The sugar donuts are soft and fluffy inside even if the donuts are a day old. Nothing to write about, a very sad dismal experience lol. There is plenty of coffee shops nearby but I wasn't here for coffee, we wanted a glazed donut. Walked in Sunday around 11am. The girl working says we're closing and starts waving her hands around. Says they sold out, I thought wow you're sold out of everything? She says yes about to close. Pretty solid donuts! Looked on yelp to find donuts nearby to bring into work and came across this place because Krispy Kreme doesn't have maple bars and some of my coworkers wanted these. This place is a little hole in the wall shop and if you're from the OC area, I would say this is close to Seaside in Newport. The donuts are good and reasonably priced and they have a pretty good jalepeno ham and cheese croissant. My only complaint with this though is I wish they would spread the jalepenos out. I've gotten it a few times now and they seem to put all of the jalepenos only in one spot. Anyhow, it's definitely a great place to check out if you need a quick donut fix! read more

The server dismissed my concern and insisted the count was correct. In the rush of a busy morning, I trusted her judgment. However, I was charged $22 instead of the advertised price and later discovered I was indeed missing a donut from the dozen. i've always lived super close to ball donut but for some reason never went there until yesterday. it's your typical hole in the wall family donut shop that's owned by a husband and wife (sophie and ricky). the place itself is decorated how you would expect a regular old donut shop to be decorated, with fridges of drinks to the left and a counter with utensils, sugar, and creamer on the right. when you walk in you're immediately greeted by a display case of donuts, ranging from raised donuts, cake donuts, cronuts, croissants, and more. behind the case is tv screens of the cost of everything and additional items they sell, including bagel sandwiches and drinks. i looked through their display case trying to decide which donut to get and was originally going to get a blueberry crumb cake donut (which i've never seen any other donut place have before! usually it's just blueberry or just crumb haha) but i opted against it because i recently had my wisdom teeth removed and wanted something softer so i went with my fail-safe donut: a chocolate raised donut. i also got my dad a ham and cheese croissant. the two items costed me $6.25 ($4.00 for the croissant and $2.25 for the donut) which i felt was a little higher than how much it would cost me at another hole in the wall donut shop (not talking about those specialty donut places like friendlys) but i guess with these trying times and rising costs, the pastries were bound to cost more too. $4.00 seemed high for an ordinary ham and cheese croissant but after receiving it, THAT THING IS MASSIVE so i think it's worth the price. my dad said it was good but a bit too much cheese for his liking. really good if you throw it in the airfryer at home before eating! i, on the other hand, really enjoyed their chocolate raised donut. the donut itself is a bit pale in color, but it was SUPPERR soft and pillow! just how i love my raised donuts. i also liked that they didn't glaze the donut before putting chocolate on top. i love a good plain raised donut with a chocolate top -- it was the perfect sweetness and amazingly soft so i had no problems eating it. i returned the next day on my morning walk before work because it's the only place within walking distance that's open and i wanted to get my boyfriend a plain glazed donut (his favorite). he loved it and said it was super soft and perfectly glazed. i also decided to try their sausage ham & cheese sandwich on an everything bagel and it was okay. not my favorite bagel sandwich ever -- the sausage was just warmed up in the microwave and the ham was just regular deli ham that they sell at costco i'm pretty sure. the bagel was also a bit dense and not the softest. i also was not a big fan of the price -- it was $7 for that thing! it's good to eat if you're there already and craving a bagel sandwich but i would not pay that much for an okay bagel sandwich again. for that price i would rather just go to boil + bake in costa mesa for a really good specialty bagel sandwich. overall a very good donut place to stop by if you're in the area. i personally would just stick to buying their donuts and maybe their croissants if i'm in the mood for them. the owners are really nice and friendly but more so with their regulars. they greeted me and provided me with good service but i definitely did not get the same friendly smiley vibe as others did so i would've appreciated being treated as if i were a friend too, even though i don't frequent the place. also something to note is that you have to spend $5 to pay with a credit card! read more

Great place to grab donuts in the morning! Located in a small strip mall (The one with the coin laundromat) with only one entrance to the lot and several parking spaces. It wasn't busy when I came in to grab a dozen donuts before work. They had a lot to choose from! I chose four donuts and had them choose the rest. If you buy a dozen donuts, you get one free ($8)! Located at the corner of Ball and State College, the donut spot is near that shady car wash place, next to the 7/11. Needing to buy several dozen for the office, I was greeted promptly by the gal working and she hooked it up right away for me! My timing was perfect and they were bringing out trays of fresh donuts from the back, and she got me 2 dozen of the some of the freshest donuts we have ever tasted. Ball Donuts carries only the basic donuts (glazed, filled, donut holes, etc.) and I like they have basic prices, I got 2 dozen for under $20. We used to get our donuts from Georgie's Donuts literally across the street, but they were always disorganized and the donuts were NEVER fresh. They always tasted old. We started getting our donuts here for almost a year now, and we've been impressed with the service, prices, and FRESHNESS of the donuts every single time. Our orders are usually a few dozen assorted donuts- ones with sprinkles, chocolate, maple syrup, etc. The first time coming here, we noticed the donuts were so much softer than any donuts we've had and they just tasted SO MUCH FRESHER.
