    Oh Mochi Donut
    Jayson T.

A doughnut-lovers paradise! Upon entering, you see racks and racks and a clean display of their doughnuts. They have a variety of flavors, shapes, and glazes. While the price is bit higher than your standard bakery, the quality in each bite is worth it. I ended up going with the doughnut holes, ube custard, original mochi, blueberry. All so good and decadent! The staff is knowledgeable of best sellers and give good suggestions as well. The most interesting out them were the ube custard; vibrant, deep color of purples, creamy ube custard filling, complementing the like airy cake like dough. Can't go wrong with any option here!

Ironically, I don't really like donuts because I don't like heavy, doughy textures. But, I did try their Gluten-Free Pandan Donut. Guess what? It was so light and delicious! The Pandan frosting was good with light sprinkles and 1 was perfect. My daughter ordered their Jalapeno Cheese Bagel with cream cheese halfed and it too was light and crispy. We enjoyed and now know what to get when there.

Went in during National doughnut day to try this place out. The place was simple and very welcoming. The people greeted me as soon as I came in. The employee that helped me was very polite and helpful on trying to figure out what to get. I honestly came in for just a couple, but left with so many more! The classic raised glazed was pretty good. The texture of the doughnuts were overall not dense and overall fairly fluffy. A couple were a little doughy, but most were good. The glaze was not too sweet which is nice. Most flavors were solid. This place is known for their Malassadas and I can confirm they are delicious. I haven't had too many in my life, but I can definitely tell when a place has their specialty! Service 8.5/10 Food 7/10 Overall 7.5/10

Co worker brought Donuttery to the office yesterday. Solid move. One of the best donut shops in the county. Had to show some love and respect. Their vegan options are also phenomenal. Cheers BIG EARS

Delicious! Saw this donut food truck at the Vegan Street Fair in Westwood during CicLAvia. They had an array of vegan donuts. We got the cinnamon roll, apple bear claw, and 2 glazed donuts to eat after I bike ride. The service was fast and friendly, just how I like it! Another thing I like...delicious, fluffy donuts that aren't too sugary. These were great and I hope to see them at another festival in LA.

Bowling in a travel league has its perks and the league always brings in donuts and this weekend, the donuts are from here! These are very good donuts. The yeast donut was light and airy with a little chew. Fabulous way to allocate daily calorie intake. Please come and create your own adventure.

The donuts were all so delicious! This was our first time stopping in and we received service pretty quickly. We wished we would've received more care with our order and didn't feel so rushed when picking the flavors and asking what they recommended. The place was busy and you could tell the regulars were greeted with a much happier tone than us non-regulars. The ambiance felt less about customer experience and more about getting your order completed and moving to the next online/in-person order. We also ended up spending almost $60 for 6 - mochi donuts & 6 - gluten free donuts, however, all in all the donuts were yummy and we're glad we stopped by while in the Huntington Beach area.

Why 5 stars? Because despite growing out of my donut phase, I really loved these. --- --- --- When I was younger, I could eat donuts with the best of them. Now, I feel like they directly hit my blood sugar like an atom bomb and always result in me feeling like a bucket of crud after. So when I was told I should visit The Donuttery, I wasn't *that* excited about it, but I ended up making my way over after all. I wasn't even really hungry, but I knew I needed to put some sustenance in my belly before ingesting donuts, because that's a recipe for maximum crudness. So I ordered the bacon burrito as just kind of the best option available. And that freaking bacon burrito was actually awesome. You gotta love when you find a happy accident like that. I just kept eating it despite not even being hungry. And then came the donuts. I asked what the most popular items where, and was told that the malasadas were, so I grabbed a couple of those, a mochi, something with coconut shavings and a couple other random ones. Most of these were amazing. Especially the malasadas (she was right). I really had no belly room left, especially after eating most of the burrito, but there was no way I was going to just leave the uneaten donuts in our hotel room, so I took the little bag they give you for ice, and threw them in my backpack. Many hours later, in my kitchen in Texas, I inhaled those bad boys and didn't regret one second of it. If I ever hear of anyone going to the area, this will be at the top of my recommendation list. As a matter of fact, I just did exactly this earlier today. Why 5 stars?

If you're in the neighborhood definitely stop by and grab a treat for yourself. They have tons of options from standard old fashioned and kruellers to mochi, and gluten free options. We sampled a few and my favorite was the glazed old fashioned and blueberry cake. Oh, but the chocolate chocolate cake was rich with frosting! We sampled the croissant donut holes which were a delight. They have a non stop stream of customers, thankfully they're open 24/7.

I love a good ham and cheese croissant! The ham&cheese, jalepeno croissants here are delicious. The jalepenos are baked right in, and there is a ton of cheese to ham ratio. Get them fresh, if not ask them to warm it up for you. Croissant is comparable to Seaside. Service is fast and friendly. Store is quite tidy and all the accompaniments for your coffee and more are all on the table at the center of the store.

Chocolate lover's dream. This 24-hour donut shop is filled with FRESH donuts. Service is so quick and friendly. The donuts are absolutely delicious. The blueberry and chocolate donuts were about $3 per and the chocolate chip bar one is $4. We devoured these. Note: They have a ton of vegan donuts!!!

Not only does this place has the best selection of donuts in OC but the have the best lox bagel as well. They give you lots and I mean lots of salmon and they don't skimp on the cream cheese either. My go to place when I want a Lox bagel

    Not recommended.

Are the mochi donuts gluten free?

    No they are not

When is it best to come in to buy fresh hot Malasada's ? And can anyone recommend the best way to wrap and ship them to my daughter who lives in central calif..?

We make them basically throughout the day based on availability, no fixed schedule, it varies. After frying, malasadas have to be cooled in order to fill them with creams and jelly filled. If you are shipping them, it is best to ship them next day…

What is the egg and milk replacer in vegan?

I luv how nobody from the donuttery has been willing to answer this question. Sus. 🤔

    Do they have half- dozens?

    Yes

Any donuts that are gf and vegan?

Yes many options actually. Coming from a vegan they are delicious (:

Are they really open 24/7? Even during the pandemic?

    Yes

What are the ingredients in the vegan donuts? --- And what type of sugar & salt is used? Thank you!

I'm sorry but The Donuttery is very strict on there recipes.

Hi there! My daughter is dairy and soy free. Are there vegan donuts that do not use soy ingredients? If so, which ones? Thank you!

Yes they have a sign with which ones are vegan.

Any dairy free, gluten free, and keto donut? As in all this in one.

No, I asked about a keto gluten free but all they have is gluten free. It is SO good!

Just tried the new Keto donut. It was DELICIOUS, which brings me to my question. What sweetener is used in place of sugar? Also what flour type. Just trying to decipher the macros. Thanks love them!

Hi! Thank you for the feedback. We use coconut, almond flour, and some monk fruit sweetener. For the frosting, it is stevia-sweetened semi-sweet chocolate and stevia-sweetened white chocolate.

    Is there currently outdoor seating?

No, they only do takeout in person or order online takeout or delivery.

Are your gf donuts made on separate workstations from the gluten donuts? Would they be safe for some with celiac?

Another response from the manager said she didn't recommend the gf donuts for those with celiac because they can be cross contamination!

    Any keto donuts?

Not yet. We have been experimenting with keto ingredients :)

I know this place has vegan donuts...can you give me a list of the flavors and what day(s) these flavors are available so I can try them all? Thanks!

No they do not. The owner is currently working on making these donuts available. they are coming soon.

What's the best vegan donuts here?

ALL ARE FANTASTIC. There is this chocolate one that is unbelievable. It's a chocolate base with chocolate filling and chocolate glaze and then covered in chocolate chips. I don't know the name of it but oh my God. So good. Everything they make is so…

They've been consistently amazing ever since they opened, and somehow they've only gotten better over time. I honestly enjoy just about every drink on their menu, especially their seasonal specials. My all-time favorite has to be their 2026 Spring Earl Grey Matcha. I was getting it almost every week, and I was genuinely sad when they switched over to their summer menu. Thankfully, they kept the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha, because wow... what a flavor explosion. It's easily one of the best matcha drinks I've ever had, and my friend and I keep coming back just for it. I know it sounds a little adventurous, because it did to me, but when I tried it, it genuinely changed my life (kidding). If mango isn't your thing, I highly recommend either the Double Matcha or the Banana Matcha. The Double Matcha is perfect if you love a strong matcha flavor; you can really taste the quality of the matcha they use. As for the Banana Matcha, I normally don't gravitate toward banana drinks, but SIP completely changed my mind. They use what tastes like a banana pudding instead of artificial banana flavoring, and it blends so smoothly with the matcha that every sip feels balanced and indulgent. The café itself is just as charming as the drinks. The wood paneling gives the space a cozy, retro vibe that makes you want to stay a while, and the staff is always incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming.

Now the MATCHA I looooved their matcha with the Earl Grey foam top. OMG... it was phenomenal!! The matcha was earthy, umami, and so well balanced, and the hint of Earl Grey in the foam complemented it perfectly without overpowering the matcha. Such a good combination! I will 100% be coming back for this one!

It was a very small drink (9 oz). It was slightly salted, tasted bitter, and wasn't sweet despite having condensed milk as an ingredient. It wasn't good. Canale: Despite having to wait for the drink, I needed to wait longer for this because the staff forgot to put it in the order. I needed to wait for them to prepare it in the back and also go back to the counter to charge for it. All to wait for something that was mushy. Coffee Beans: I saw there were coffee beans from Glitch in Japan. It was a brand that I loved there so I wanted to give it a try. I don't usually like fruity notes but this was really delicious. However, it's extremely pricy for how little beans there is.

They were a similar size of a muffin and they were so good! The cart was only there during the Food and Wine Festival so I'm glad I was able to try them out. If I'm ever in California anytime soon, I'll try to stop by and grab more cookies.

The menu takes familiar Vietnamese flavors then gets a little creative with them. The space itself has that same trendy Kei Concepts feel too. Cute, lively, but still casual enough to stop in for brunch or coffee. The workers here were super attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, but we narrowed it down to the Seafood Ceviche, Matcha Cloud Latte, Egg Coffee, plus the Beef Belly Banh Mi Chao. The Seafood Ceviche comes with scallops, shrimp, calamari, mango, coconut, Thai chili, plus shrimp chips. This was such a clean and bright bite with a little tropical flavor from the mango and coconut. There was a nice kick of spice too. They gave a good amount of seafood, so you weren't just eating toppings and sauce. Scoop everything onto one of those crispy shrimp chips... so good. The Matcha Cloud Latte was dangerously easy to drink. I genuinely think I could take down three of these. It's made with oat milk then topped with matcha cheese foam. It was creamy with such a vibrant green matcha flavor. Slightly sweeter than I normally prefer, but I'm sure you could ask for less sweetness. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but the Egg Coffee surprised me. It's Vietnamese milk coffee topped with egg foam and cocoa powder. That cream was DELICIOUS. Last was the Beef Belly Banh Mi Chao. It comes with beef belly, black peppercorn sauce, sunny eggs, pork roll, pate, tomatoes. We added Chinese sausage since we were sharing, but honestly we didn't even need it. They give you a MOUNTAIN of beef belly. I loved being able to build each bite however I wanted with the bread, beef, egg, pate, plus everything else on the plate. Such a fun dish to share. Another Kei Concepts win for me. I already know there are more things on this menu I need to come back for.

Parking is easy and plenty of spots as there are no other open establishments in the plaza. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Like many of the Kei concepts restaurants I've tried, this place didn't disappoint. I liked everything that we ordered. Price is reasonable. Serving size is just right. Definitely recommended!
