We stopped in for lunch after a long day of traveling on I-26. We had about 15 people in our group and we were traveling with a large motor coach bus (I was the driver). My wife called them and asked if they could handle a large group as well as a place for us to park a 38' bus. She said yes and for us to come on. So glad we stopped here! Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious! I ordered the cheese burger with fries and coleslaw and banana pudding. Wow it was very good and very tasty. The banana pudding was very good as well. My wife ordered the Patty Melt. She said it was very good and full of flavor. So I googled pancakes in our area and it had the normal IHOP and other restaurants. I came across Granny's Kitchen and the kids said that one. So we went. It's a small little place and was packed. Had a nice lunch at Granny's Kitchen after a round of Golf. No frills really. But it is a nice quaint hometown type restaurant that many local patrons come to. Food is good and service is exceptional. A nice place for a good meal at the right price. Staff is upbeat and personable - the owner as well. (Although I forgot to ask his name...?) The wife and I visited for breakfast. First, this is an old-fashioned diner sitting on a side street. Don't be put off by the appearance because the breakfast is great and the price is very reasonable. Both my wife and I had the special with two eggs, a meat and two pancakes. My wife is particular about her crisp bacon, and it was fried to perfection. I'm a bit skeptical about ordering sausage but this sausage was great. We both enjoyed the pancakes. The price was $8.19 for each breakfast. We were served very quickly, and the server was friendly. I left my wallet on the table, and she chased me out the door to return it to me. There was a little confusion in the seating after a young couple stepped into the restaurant and sat in the seat the hostess planned to seat us. My husband, our son and I were passing through on a trip home from NC. Son found Granny's Kitchen online, so we stopped in. You could seat yourselves. We were able to get what we wanted for breakfast. Son and hubby had omelets and biscuits, and I had pancakes and bacon. They were cooked just right and the meal was delicious. I have lived in Inman for about five years now and this is my first visit to Granny's kitchen. I can tell you this is a little gem that I have missed out on for almost 5 years. I really enjoyed the quick paced fast service that we received. Everyone greeted us at the door was super friendly. They had a great variety for lunch specials that are $9.99. So basically two generous portion meals and two cold drinks with tax and tip came to $23.00. With the cost of inflation, that right, there is phenomenal not to mention the food tasted so good! We will definitely be back for more visits, trying out different food at Granny's kitchen. I would love to give five stars, however when I do not use restrooms, I cannot give the full five stars and I did not use the restroom at this visit. Next time I go back, I will check that out and see if I can update my review to five stars. read more

I recently found out about Granny's. Saw some questionable reviews but I always give the benefit of the doubt. This is now my third time here for breakfast, and EVERY time the food was prepared as I asked, and promptly served with a smile! We got the Chuck Wagon steak, Mac n cheese, creamed potatoes, pinto beans & the hamburger. The macaroni for the Mac n cheese was so overcooked it tasted like water as it had soaked up so much of it. The creamed potatoes were instant but I've had worse. The pinto beans had no seasoning. Just plain beans. The Chuck wagon steak was OK although the white gravy with the potatoes had no flavor. Added a little salt and they were better. I hope they improve as I wanted to like it. Staff was super friendly although the waitress said the menu was what was written on the chalkboard and others were eating breakfast food that we wanted that wasn't listed on the chalkboard. We were passing through from out of town so likely won't go back. I hope your experience is better. read more

This place doesn't look like much but when you have your meal, it is AWESOME!!! We went for breakfast the Saturday before Memorial Day. It looked crowded but we got a table fast...it's seat yourself. All of the servers we wonderful- they really work as a team. The food was hot and tasty!!! I'm glad we discovered this place because it's just down the road!!! We stopped by Granny's Kitchen after my mother in law's funeral. We needed a little comfort food. Granny's was perfect. We were on our way out to pay and the owner asked if we were just at a funeral.
