I was excited to stop in at this place based on their menu and cute exterior, so my sister and I got breakfast here. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't amazing either. I enjoyed my meal, as it was simple & light, though filling and enjoyable. I would like to try a Crepe if I ever come back. The interior is also cute and has rustic decor, cozy atmosphere. Service was quick, but I also felt that it was lacking and communication was short. We didn't get straws or have napkins at the table, so I tried my best to not make a mess eating. Every time the server came by, it was so quick I didn't get to ask. I don't like that the silverware is just sitting out either, not very sanitary. I got a small pastry that was also forgotten about until the server was reminded. There was also someone that was going around to tables to check in...it felt like we were left out. I don't normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to after our recent visit because there were simply too many issues. My sister and I came for brunch with our four children. We ordered several crepes, lattes, avocado toast, and Parmesan Truffle Fries. Everything started off well, but the problems began once the food arrived. My Wild Lavender Latte looked nothing like the menu photo. The picture showed a purple drink, but what arrived was a regular brown latte with very little lavender flavor. The Parmesan Truffle Fries were also disappointing--barely any Parmesan, no noticeable truffle flavor, and no seasoning at all. My Main St. crepe with grilled chicken was so heavily salted that it was inedible. To the waitress's credit, she immediately offered to replace it, and I ordered something else. She was polite, apologetic, and did her best throughout the meal. The biggest issue was with my son's food. While everyone else received and finished their meals, he was left waiting. When his crepe finally arrived, it was incorrect. We had requested strawberries on the side, but they were inside the crepe. No child should have to sit and watch everyone else eat while waiting that long for a meal, especially when all the kids ordered nearly the same thing. Unfortunately, the problems continued when it was time to pay. We needed separate checks, but the bill was not handled correctly. The manager applied discounts without confirming which items belonged to which party, and I later discovered I had been charged for an item that belonged to my sister while receiving none of the adjustments that should have applied to my order. The food here is mediocre at best and wildly inconsistent, but my biggest issue is with the owner/manager and the way customers are treated when they make mistakes, which here, are often. I've given this restaurant more chances than I probably should have because there aren't many dining options in Inman. Unfortunately, every visit has reinforced the same impression. One visit, I came in with a group of five. The restaurant was not busy, yet we waited over 30 minutes for our food. I ordered a crepe with lemon curd that arrived with a watery filling. I had ordered the dish before and knew it wasn't right. The waitress agreed to take it back, but after another long wait she returned and explained they couldn't remake it because the curd needed more time to set. In other words, they knew it wasn't ready but served it anyway. At that point, I was starving and ordered a different crepe. By the time it arrived, my friends had already finished their meals and we'd been there for over an hour. The replacement wasn't very good and I only ate part of it. When the bill came, I was charged full price. Not once during the entire experience did the owner come by to apologize or check on the situation, despite being present. When I politely explained that I didn't feel I should be charged for a dish that was served incorrectly and delayed the entire table, the owner argued that because I had eaten some of the replacement crepe, I should pay for it. The conversation became unnecessarily confrontational over what should have been a simple customer service issue and could have been easily solved by a discount and an apology. Eventually the item was removed, but only after a lengthy debate. What bothered me most wasn't the mistake. Mistakes happen. It was the complete lack of accountability, concern, or desire to make things right. In reading some of the other reviews, it seems others have also had this experience On a later visit, the owner made a point of checking on every nearby table except ours, which felt intentionally passive-aggressive given our previous interaction. My last visit was the worst experience yet. The food was poor, service was slow, and I watched the owner lock the doors 40 min before the posted closing time of 2 pm, and no sign posted. Several customers arrived expecting the restaurant to be open and were visibly frustrated. I then observed the owner complaining about those customers to other guests inside the restaurant. Expecting a business to honor its posted hours is not entitlement; it's a reasonable expectation. I also observed her arguing with a customer on my way out. That was my last cue to never give this place another shot. At the end of the day, food is usually a miss, and service is slow. What is much harder to overlook is an owner who seems unwilling to accept responsibility when problems arise, and more likely to lash out at customers than focus on improvement . I will never go back, this place has left a very bad taste in my mouth. A friend and I met here for lunch. I had breakfast, my friend had a salad. The food was excellent. The service was top notch. Gina was a treat and our meal was incredible. I love the atmosphere and the different offerings of meals and experiences is truly unique. They offer Afternoon Tea, proper British Style, on some Tuesday afternoons, and cooking lessons (!!!). Went to brunch at Crepe Factory downtown Inman on Mother's Day hoping to treat my girlfriend, who is a mother, to a nice brunch, had a horrible experience and didn't even eat there Their storefront and Google both clearly state they are open Tuesday - Sunday from 9AM to 2PM. We arrived at 1:25PM and found the doors already locked. As people were leaving, I made my way inside when one of the men supposedly working there coldly asled me "Can I help you? and I asked why the doors were locked before their posted closing time. The host told me they were "not taking any more tables." I explained that locking customers out 35 minutes before closing is generally considered poor service, especially when your business hours state otherwise. What made the experience worse was the attitude from the hostess, who I was told is also the owner. Instead of handling the situation professionally or showing any accountability, she came across as dismissive, pretentious, and rude. There was no apology, no attempt to make us feel welcome, and no effort to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, this wasn't our first disappointing experience there either. We've been multiple times over the years, and the service has often been slow, the food inconsistent, and the overall customer experience hit or miss depending on the day. I've also heard from others that the owner has a reputation for becoming defensive or argumentative with customers instead of handling criticism professionally, so honestly I wouldn't be surprised if there's a hostile response to this review as well. If your kitchen or seating closes earlier than your posted hours, that should be clearly communicated online and at the door. Customers should not have to guess whether a business is actually open during its advertised operating hours. We will not be coming back which is unfortunate because we are local. read more

We stopped into this quaint, cozy eatery with some friends on a chilly December evening. We live out of town but thought this would be a nice central spot to have friends gather and visit. The restaurant is spotless and beautifully decorated. The warm glow of the holiday lights welcomed us and our friends. The owner, Denise, greeted us and was more than willing to accommodate our growing party by moving tables together. We stayed several hours, and Michelle kept the food and drinks coming, taking excellent care of our group. We enjoyed the pretzel bites and pimento cheese appetizers, the brisket Mac and cheese and brisket platter, the MonteCristo sandwich, the Christmas quiche, and the red velvet crepes. Sorry - no pictures of the food. We devoured it in no time! The bar is fully stocked and we enjoyed delicious cocktails and draft beers. What a treasured gem in the heart of Inman! As a hungry man on a Sunday morning alone, the crêpe factory in Inman was good, but not good enough. I ordered the breakfast special which included sausage, eggs, biscuit, and hashbrowns. The scrambled eggs were good, but had a somewhat odd texture of being fluffier than natural. To compound the situation, the table's salt shaker would not shake out. I had to go to another table and get a shaker that worked. The breakfast came with only one rather thin sausage patty. As a grown man, that was certainly not enough. The hashbrowns were probably frozen to begin with and lacked seasoning, but worst of all they were undercooked. A bit raw. The biscuit was small and did not include any butter. They did provide little dishes of jam and strawberry cream cheese. More than I needed. And I would have appreciate something more savory. The coffee: nice big cups of coffee and refills. At $4.50, it better be big, hot, and good. Will I go back? I might go back on a day that I'm not all that hungry and with My Wife. It seems to be the kind of place that ladies might go to. I thought the food was going to be fantastic because this place was so cute and clean inside and looked like it would have really good food. I had the eggs, toast, grits, and bacon breakfast and found the food to be very greasy. The toast was made on a very oily grill and the eggs were also very greasy, not what I was expecting from this type of restaurant. My husband and I got a sweet crepe which came out cold with little to no Nutella filling. I did ask the waitress why it was cold and she advised that the fillings were cold. Being that there wasn't much filling, I'm just going to assume the crepe wasn't fresh. The waitress was working hard and did a great job handling multiple tables. We went there for breakfast and the restaurant was generally empty. Only two other couples were there. It took over an hour to get our food and by then it was not even hot. While we waited, we saw three different door dashers waiting for over 15 minutes each just to PICK UP the meals. How can a place with little to no customers still have such a long wait for the food? The food was fine but we won't be returning. Manager needs to get new kitchen staff and run the restaurant better. Despite a warm and welcoming atmosphere, customer service here is NOT valued. After "misunderstanding" the menu and being brought out a meal we were not satisfied with, we were forced to pay the bill without compensation for our dissatisfaction. BEWARE: once you order your food here, there is absolutely no room for misunderstanding or mistakes! The owner and servers will tell you that your lack of understanding the menu is not their responsibility to compensate you and it is your responsibility to ask questions before the order is placed. They WILL NOT accommodate a change after your food is served. They also charged us for the meal "remake" that we ordered without it ever being served to us. We will not be back. Update: Our "ordering mistakes" we're ordering from the Knead Biscuits section of the menu, which lists a series of biscuit dishes that states on the menu biscuits served WITH additional items such as sausage, egg, cheese or an addition of potatoes and other items. As my 90 year old grandmother ordered from this menu, there was no clear description of these biscuits being assembled in "sandwich" form and our server failed to ask what style eggs (remind you it was not listed as scrambled or patty form) she would like to have on her biscuit... which would have been a great give away for the style of dish. This was not a customer ordering mistake, this was lack of clarity on the menu and lack of attention by our server. read more

Well, I have to say that more people need to give this restaurant venue more reviews because The Crêpe Factory deserves it. The restaurant is very well decorated inside with local lore and pictures. The menu reflects the local scene as well with"dishes" named after city streets. So cool. I can't say enough about the food - the bacon and sugar pastry appetizer, The Denver omelet with spinach and cheese, the waffles with bananas, and OMG the best Bloody Mary ever. The bamboo string of garnish - pickle, banana pepper, olives, tomato , and jalapeño with the Bloody May is delicious. Check out this local gem of a restaurant. I haven't even begun to talk about the five star service provided by Michelle. She knows the menu very well and offered some delicious suggestions to our out of town friends. I have been wanting to try this place to open after their closing location in downtown Spartanburg. I had gone to the downtown location and loved it so was excited to have them move closer to me. I have now gone to the new Inman location twice and loved it both times. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with friendly staff and seated accordingly. There are many tables and chairs with little outside dining as an option. The menu has a variety of different options for breakfast, lunch, and brunch. Some of the menu items that were in the downtown menu were not available which made me a little sad. The first time I went, I got the Prospect St. with a sweet tea. The tea is not overly sweet to where it's pure sugar but crepe was amazing! The second time I went, I got a hot chocolate with Crêpe Factory fries and the Magnolia Crêpe and loved it. Our server was the very delightful Rachel who fully explained their new Meat and 3 options and mentioned a wine-tasting event. She is a great hostess who frequently checked to ensure our orders were as we expected. Dakota was our bartender and he kept the drinks coming to our table (and we kept him busy). They make a wicked Old Fashioned here and have several options if you just want to shoot some whiskey, or tequila, or... I was thinking about a Shrimp Po' Boy but the Meat/3 sounded interesting so I went with country fried steak and chose the rustic coleslaw, baby lima beans, and corn bread. Great choices! Everything was done to perfection with generous portions. I was with a group visiting friends in the area. We always make a stop at this clean and bright space. The owner, Denise, personally checks on every table and the passion she has for what she is accomplishing here is evident. Stop in and give this place a try if you are ever close to Inman. So tried this place for the first time today. Was not very impressed. Was expecting better food quality and a little more options than what they actually had. For a Crêpe factor to only have 3 options of crepes was disappointing and the prices were a little pricey as well. We happened upon this place when visiting downtown Inman, and I am so glad we did. This place is absolutely amazing, it was a homerun for our entire family. First, the atmosphere... it's a really nice, upscale looking bistro with an eclectic mix of crooner and big band playing in the background. We really enjoyed the music and it added to the experience. Secondly, the service... we had an awesome server who was very kind, energetic and knowledgeable about the menu. She helped us navigate our first visit and made it very easy for us to make our selections. Thirdly, the menu... there is a broad range of choices on the menu, and we had a really hard time choosing because everything sounded so delicious. Last, the food... it is SO GOOD. We all shared what was on our plates and everything that was ordered was great. We had beignets as an appetizer and they were fresh, hot and delicious. We quickly gobbled all 6 of them down. As for the main dishes, I had the Rooney Burger which was cooked to order (medium) and it was simply fantastic. I also had a side of parm truffle fries and they were out of this world good. They used shaved parm instead of grated, which is a welcome change for truffle fries. Everything else the family got was thoroughly enjoyed - they are already begging to go back. read more
