When we brought up our concerns they said they were family and had behavioral issues. In their policy they stress implementing positive reinforcement. Also, when a parent tested positive with COVID- we felt pressured to send our child back before the 2 week quarantine window although we expressed we had legitimate weakened immune systems in our household and wanted to be extra safe. Once we chose to take a full two weeks we were sent an altered contract agreement. We decided it wasn't where we wanted our child and when we decided to terminate Tina unfortunately got very nasty with us and left our child's belongings damaged and in bags outside. To add to it, it was like pulling teeth trying to get information on what they did each day. It is not at all what was portrayed to us and we are sorry we ever wasted our time. If honesty, positive reinforcement and some sort of educational curriculum is important to you, don't place your child here. It is just a baby sitter and if that's all your looking for then good luck!

It is hard to find a school that will offer a part-time, flexible schedule for infant care! We gradually made the transition to 5 days/week and couldn't be happier with the overall friendly, down-to-earth, and supportive environment of the school and staff. They have offered open and clear communication and support during all of the uncertainties surrounding COVID in 2020 and beyond and made sure to keep families well informed of any procedural changes due to COVID, etc. The school directors and staff really care about the families at Small Beginnings and we rest easy as parents knowing how much our young child LOVES going to school there everyday.

Our tour guide was very informative, but may have tried to relay too much information as several in our group tended to wander as if losing interest. The group was 50/50 adults and children. The group in front of us moved out of sight while the group behind, caught up and had to wait, due in particular to our guide imparting a lot of information. I was touched by the fact that these animals came from private homes where they were neglected for the most part and in some cases, abused. I think Cedar Cove has done an excellent job caring for these wonderful creatures. It's a drive out but worth the trip to learn and support their efforts.
