This UPS store consistently lies to customers. I tried to drop off a return from Amazon and was…read moretold I could not ship it because it is in a manufacturers box. They said the online instructions say it's a "Customer Pack", which means the customer packs it. Last time they said this, I asked what that means and they said it could not have any business logos or photos on the box. So this time my box was completely blank save for one sticker, which I suggested I could remove. I was told I could not ship it and that it had to be packed in another box. So, once again I drove to the University Place UPS store and they took my box. I asked if there are any restrictions on the box I ship something back in, they told me only if the box is too big then it is considered an oversize. I should have known they would do this because it isn't the first time. So, save your money and go to the UP store. Unless you want to be lied to and forced into buying their boxes out of convenience.

This place is so scary. Showed up five minutes late for my appointment due to a serious medical…read moreissue. The woman at the counter said, Sorry, can't help you. I asked to see her manager. She leaves. Doesn't return, doesn't return. Meanwhile the line behind me which had no people is now 15 people. The brusque manager finally appears, asks, "What?". I explain to her I was five minutes late due to an initial medical procedure going over, had an appointment, can't come in for three weeks due to treatment for said medical issue. She keeps trying to schedule me when I'm in treatment, after I've explained to her three times I will be debilitated and unable to drive. Finally, she acts like she's doing me an enormous favor and gives me one of her annointed precious slots for that day (which she couldn't done 10 minutes earlier) but with a stern warning, I will have to wait. This whole process takes an hour, inconveniences 15 other people and in that amount of time I could've renewed my license 20 times. I end up waiting 15 minutes and the actual renewal time takes less than three. This is management? Um, no. Lakewood, please hire people with critical thinking skills instead of people on a power trip.
