I love this place! I love this location. They are so nice and welcoming. I guy working for the prints department was so nice. He was very helpful friendly and provided excellent customer service. I use to live in the area and I always went to this Office Depot. They are still hands on with customers. I've been to other office depots and it's pretty much self serve they heavily push the self serve. I'm crunched for time usually so If i need a print fast i send the email and would rather the associate print it quickly and fast, not fumble around with the copier and waste more time. This particular location does have self serve but they will still assist you and also not give kick back if you just request to send your documents through email and have an associate print it. They always help out and see what they can do for you - even patient when I ask dumb questions. Wow! Best customer service I think I have EVER seen. Not even exaggerating. Specifically, Abraham in the copy center was amazing. I showed up and requested 3 different types of product services and even changed my mind halfway through with an additional request (which made him have to redo a binding job). He was more than happy to help with a great attitude and welcoming demeanor. When I went to pay, he said he had it covered. I was floored. This particular Office Depot just can't seem to get it together in the printing department. I frequently have the need to print high-quality 10-pt and 12-pt glossy cover stock report covers - not the kind you can do at home. I live closest to this Office Depot but I swear that every time I try to get something printed, their giant commercial color laser printer is either down, or horribly calibrated so that the colors are all wrong, streaky, or otherwise not usable. Yesterday they said "I hope you don't want color cuz we're out of ink".... on a laser printer?? Out of INK?! Pretty unprofessional. Worst part, when they're not "out of ink" is the printing department staff will argue about colors! That's really unprofessional - when you're printing logos and artwork you've worked with for years, to be told "that's how they're supposed to look" LOL!! That's just insulting. I have 15 years of seeing my business artwork from the same files and know what the colors are supposed to be. So I just stick with the Office Depot on Union right next to Hwy. 16. The very same files, printed at that location, are always spot-on perfect. It's a longer drive but worth it, as they just seem to actually care about maintaining their machines. If you need quality printing done, don't bother with this Office Depot location... you can do better. The Lakewood Town Center Office Depot does not have a professional printing department - that's the bottom line. read more

Last time I was in here the services counter was questionable at best. Today I went in there and there was a young lady working there- wish I could remember her name. [started with a J] and she was "on it!" She was handling everything in a professional manner and not showing one bit of stress or impatience. Workers there with look at you or see that you are visibly struggling trying to find an item and they purposely look the other way or walk away. There is a small desk in the back of the store where the workers have a computer and they hang out there and "look" busy. I ask for assistance and their eagerness is just not there. I get my supplies form this store but the service is horrible. read more

I have to share my experience today because the gal that so-called "helped" me in the printing department was LUCKY I didn't lose my cool on her rude a** bad attitude. I placed an order online for some simple prints the evening of 12/15, when doing so I checked a box at checkout disclosing I wanted my paperwork to be left at the pick up and go area so I could run in and out without having to wait on an associate. I received an email around 8AM today, 12/16, that my prints were ready. I arrived around 3PM today to pick them up and of course they weren't at the grab and go, whatever they call it. As I approached the counter though and noticed they weren't there, the gal behind the counter stated she'd be with me in a minute. Ok, I patiently wait. During this time, she was having a conversation with another employee about how they had some a hole on the phone who called ten times. She told her co worker that he was only left on hold for 5 minutes so he's exaggerating and she doesn't have time to deal with him. In short, basically talking smack about a customer with a customer standing in front of them. How professional right? Oh it gets better!! So I'm still waiting, minutes go by, she just goes about her day and it looks like she's working and filling other orders. I get she is doing her job, maybe she's behind, BUT HELLO you have a live customer in front of you! I politely interrupt, considering the whole point of the grab and go area option was to do just that, I was on a time crunch which I'm sure is why you guys provide this option. I said, "excuse me, sorry, if my order is not on the shelf here, does that mean it's not ready? I did receive an email early this morning though and I clicked the pick up and go option." She says "ugh no (annoyingly), what's the name?" I give her my name, she grabs my prints, and I KID YOU NOT SHE THREW MY PRINTS AT ME ONTO THE COUNTER!!!! She didn't even have the decency to hand them to me! Look, I sensed you were having a bad day, I get it I've worked in customer service and it gets frustrating, but no matter how bad of a day you are having you do not take that out on customers ever. You smile, bite your tongue, and kill them with kindness. Treat others the way you want to be treated, especially because I was being polite from the get go. At that point I brushed it off, grabbed my prints, said thank you and left. You def shouldn't be working with customers if you can't handle it, it sets a bad rep for the company and makes people not want to return. Next time I'll drive to another location even though it's out of my way. read more

Typically I have pretty good service when I go into any Office Depot. The sales associates normally pop their heads up offering assistance and are quick to respond if I need something. This experience was no different.. Except I was here just after having a horrible online purchasing experience with them... So skeptical me still needed a filing cabinet and I wanted it yesterday... I was on a mission! Had I not been mad out of my mind already this would absolutely have been 5 stars. I will continue to shop here but I will most likely never attempt to purchase anything online. If a delivery is going to a business the expectation of business delivery hours is reasonable. read more

Went in for an external hard drive, worker that eventually approached me while I was looking at the options, was helpful, trying to be anyways, and I appreciated his efforts. But, after I picked my item and went to the front counter (it was just an empty, plastic container with the picture & info of the item on it), the girl behind the counter called in for someone to get the item from the back. After probably five minutes, another girl arrives to the counter to say to me, "We actually don't have any of these in store". I waited a moment, waiting. Silence. So I decided that they didn't want my business, as I wasn't offered an alternative, or help finding an alternative, just a basic, "no, don't have it". Which maybe that's petty, but I have also worked retail, and it's just those little things that make an experience go from bleh, to good, and they really missed out on a sale there. read more

Stay away from Office Depot at all costs. I bought a computer and monitor from there web site and a week after it was supposed to be delivered it was still a no show. When I called on 3 separate occasions to find out why they hadn't been delivered yet I got the standard stock answer it will be delivered today, yet nothing. So after all that I canceled the order, flash forward 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten my $450.00 back and of coarse I get the stock answer of it will be in your account in 3-5 days well it's been over 15 days. So unless you want to be ripped off and have money to waste the by all means shop here, but if your like me and don't have money to waste stay away.
