I am so glad we finally made it to Grapevine Foods! Grapevine is a small store with a small kitchen but they do a mighty job. We got our food to go, but they do have one or two tables if you want to dine in. Dining in is a very casual experience. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The food is amazing. Love the chicken pies and chicken shish ka bob. Next time I am ordering the rice that looked so amazing. Prices reasonable and portions are on the larger size. If I can give this place a zero or less then a star I would . I' am all about supporting small businesses in the area specially a family owned business. I don't know what happened to this place a few years ago it was great . I guess it's safe to say that the owner has aged and does not want to deal with customers. By the way this is a 100 percent honest review. The owner treats the customers like garbage and informs them that she does not want to deal with them and she has no time to answer questions on the phone. The first mishap happened when we made a huge order for my nieces baby shower. I had already paid for the food and I was sending my brother-in-law to just pick it up. I called 30 minutes before he arrived and let them know that he would be arriving in 30 minutes and reminded them that the order was paid for in full and spoke to the owner. When he arrived the owner was on the register and took advantage of him and charged him another time for the complete order. Being that it was a baby shower and we were busy with our guests he did not get an answer when he called us to verify that it's been paid for, since the owner was demanding the full amount. Not only did she double charge him for the food but when he arrived we found out that the order was missing many of the items that we paid for. One of the items that was missing was a huge tray of sweets for the entire guest party. Also , there were two small trays of the grape leaves missing. We immediately called the establishment and the owner got on the phone and decided to argue about the missing items. We informed her that we had been double charged since we already pre-paid and she made him pay again. With no apologies she proceeded to say that she will void the last transaction. When I reminded her that I personally called 30 minutes before he came and she confirmed that it's been paid for she told me that she was too busy and she can't handle each order and remember everything. At this point she was yelling on the phone. She kept screaming that she would void the transaction and it was a mistake but did not apologize. When we told her about the missing items she had a very disgusting tone and said that someone else can come back and pick them up. We then explained to her that we live 30 minutes away from her location and we are in a middle of a baby shower and no one can come pick them up. My mother had to get on the phone and beg for them to deliver the sweets and the missing stuffed grape leaf trays . She explained to her that we had our guests here already and we had no sweets to serve them after dinner and less appetizers without the stuffed grape leaves . After 15 minutes of begging ; the owner finally gave in and said she would be sending one of her employees to bring the items that were missing. We were fine with that even though her tone was very disgusting, she kept saying that her blood pressure is going up during the phone call so we Genuinely started to feel bad for her and just let it go. One hour later the doorbell rings and the employee arrives with the Sweets (uncovered in open air ) swaying them in the open wind . She had no appetizers with her at all . The stuffed grape leaves trays were both still not delivered at this point and we paid . I then called her back myself and asked for the two trays of grape leaves and wondered why they were not delivered. Again she did not apologize and said that they forgot them again. At this point , The guests were already done eating the rest of the food. The owner was getting frustrated because we started to categorize the items and what we were charged for at this point since many items are missing and she was not correcting it. This is when we became very suspicious that she did this purposely as a scam to collect money and not provide the food (thinking we would not notice ). After 15 minutes of arguing and her informing us that she has been in business for over 20 years and has never forgot one item as well as she has never had her blood pressure raised this much in one phone call, told her that everyone makes mistakes and sometimes we have to learn from mistakes and admit them and correct them to serve our customers. Every time I spoke a word she would cut me off, and then she said that she didn't even know if we received the grape leaves or not and perhaps we could have just been making it all up. I told her to check her cameras , and changed subject . To make a long story short, since this review is limited she promised to give us a $60 credit towards a future order , when the future order came which was today and she found out it was us she canceled the whole order that I made for an entire party today, when she realize she would be adding the credit she said that she does not remember anything. I made this order two weeks ago and she canceled it. Thank god for al bawadi grill for saving the day . Shut this place down ! read more

I've never eaten such big juicy and full of flavor stuffed grape leaves like these, they're either skinny, tasteless or have only rice in them no meat no spices, but these are worth the travel. I took my friend here once and she's hooked on this place, she always had to stop by to grab something to eat before or after shopping in this area. I order platters from this restaurant at least once a month. I always call in advance for it to be ready at a certain time. In April I ordered a platter and a side of kibbah. I sent my family member to pick up the order, after arriving with the food I realized that we were missing our side of kibbah. So in May when I ordered a platter I let the lady know and she acknowledged the situation and was apologetic and added the side of kibbah to this order. After driving off when I went to pick up the order I decided to call and verify that I was given my entire order.. they forgot the kibbah again so I had go back around and get the remainder of my order. The last 2 times I've ordered from there I've asked for my platter to be customized and they managed to get it wrong. So yesterday after picking up I called to speak to them and Rana instantly got defenses and argumentative she began to aggressively argue that I placed my order wrong. I understand that human error occurs and that's ok but when a paying customer calls to inform you of an error there is no reason to get loud and rowdy before the customer can even get two words in. This place (or at least Rana) doesn't care about its customers experience. Also do not get my started on how oily this places rice is. It's a hit or miss. read more

I placed a catering order about 4 days in advance which included a large shish kabob plate, two half trays of grape leaves (one vegetarian, one meat), party-size pies, tabouleh salad, Jerusalem salad, and hummus! I arrived a little bit early to Grapevine, and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes with all of my items. The owners and staff are so passionate about the business and super friendly! I was expecting about 20 people at a presentation reception, however, there was lots of leftover food (I am definitely not complaining). I never thought my review of Grapevine Foods would go this way, in fact I would have bet money that my review would be a 5 star complimentary rant like the rest, but unfortunately, this is not the case. Sigh. I walk in smiling and excited bcuz thanks to all the positive Yelp reviews, this place has been on my radar for a while and I couldn't wait to try their falafel. I walk in and notice that there is a $10 minimum for cc usage - no biggie. I told the woman at the counter that i'm excited to try this place bcuz of the great Yelp reviews, I also mention that I don't eat meat so did she have any suggestions. There was another customer there whose catering order got messed up so a few employees were chatting with him. This is when things go wrong: I order 1 falafel sandwich, 1 tabbouleh salad and one jerusalem salad to meet the $10 requirement. I also ask if they have oregano bread (I only know it by that name). She asks me to wait and she will check. Meanwhile a HUGE tray of falafel balls come up to the front counter. After a few minutes the woman returns and advises me that they are too busy to make me a falafel sandwich so "sorry" - hmmm - so the effort to put 3 or 4 falafel balls into a pita with some salad was just too much work for this customer. Ok, giving you another shot at a 5 star review is too much work for me. I settled my craving at Naf Naf down the street. I'm all about supporting the small family businesses but wow, this is a first for me, especially since the tray of falafel balls were put in my face. She did offer me a MEAT pie to purchase that was sitting out on the counter. 2 stars for being polite about shewing me away. read more

Grapevine is my favorite, local middle eastern resturant! My job caters every Saturday and I always look forward to lunch when we order from there. It's not really a sit down and eat at the establishment type of resturant, however, they do have tables outside that you can sit at and enjoy your delicious meal while it's nice out. The ladies that work here are so nice and really embody their hospitable culture; very welcoming, offering us food while we waited for our meals to be made, and making conversation.
