Food was great and staff was very friendly. This is the 2nd time I was here and will be going again.

After driving by this place multiple times and being repeatedly enticed by the aromas, I finally stopped in to give it a try. Ambience 4/5: This place is fairly new and has been well maintained since opening (it looks like it's been around for roughly six months). Walking in, the space is very bright thanks to large bay windows, but the natural light isn't harsh -- you don't feel like you're under a spotlight. The restaurant had a mild scent of cleaning products, which wasn't overpowering and didn't detract from the food smells; it just gave the impression that the surfaces are well-sanitized. The only downside is the parking situation. After reading other reviews, I can empathize with anyone trying to come during lunch or rush hour. There's not much the owners can do about it, but it's something to be mindful of. Food 5/5: I ordered the chicken wrap meal and it was excellent. It came with two wraps (about hotdog-sized but longer, roughly 8 inches), a side of fries, pickles, and a drink. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and tasted like it came straight off the grill. The bread was soft and warm, and after checking their website, I learned it's made fresh, which definitely showed. The fries and pickles weren't anything extraordinary, but they were solid and paired well with the wraps. I saw another review comment on portion size, but as a 240-pound man, I felt completely satisfied with two wraps, fries, and a drink. When I return (which I will), I'm definitely trying the other meat options, as well as the veggie offerings -- especially the falafel, which is great news for my veggie-heavy wife. Service 4/5: I intentionally came after peak lunch hours (around 1:30 p.m.) to avoid the parking issues others mentioned. There were quite a few staff members present (~10 or so) as well as a gentleman who I believe was either the owner or the manager. At the time, I was one of only two parties in the restaurant. While the staff wasn't rude, I was a little surprised that neither the manager nor the employee who took my order greeted me or said thank you. It's a small thing, but noticeable. That said, the food came out quickly (about 10-15 minutes) and was hot and nicely prepared. Overall 4/5: I'm still a bit of a novice when it comes to Middle Eastern cuisine, but I know enough to appreciate the flavors and want to explore more. Nashmi, as a Jordanian food vendor, is shaping up to be one of my go-to spots when I'm craving these flavors. It hits the right notes and leaves me wanting to come back and try more. read more

Was in the area and was craving shawarma. I saw a recent video of someone reviewing a bunch of shawarma spots in the area and decided to try their pick for number 1 for beef shawarma. It was pretty good, the best part was sitting in front of their fire oven they use to freshly bake their soft pillowy bread they use for their sandwiches. The bread was definitely the best part! Usually shawarma sandwhiches are in a wrap, but these are so much better. As far as the beef, it was good, not my favorite as far as flavor wise, but still pretty good. Fries were literally exactly like McDonald's which are the best. Glad to have tried this place for sure. read more

Decided on a Saturday early evening to try Nashmi after hearing a ton of raving feedback. As I approached, the parking lot was packed, nowhere to park, 11+ cars stacked in the parking lot waiting for the drive thru, it was chaotic. I decided to park next door at the McDonald's to avoid the mayhem. I walked into Nashmi and no line to order, however they did have 19 people working on one line, and yes I counted! After seeing that, it made me really think these guys must be busy as heck! Ambiance was nice and very clean! Tables with high top seating across the windows. Would not be an ideal place to dine in with a large group so something to keep in mind. As I approached the register, I was greeted and told I would be taken care of shortly! So far so good! I decided to order the "Nashmi Chicken Combo". I was told it was a sandwich that came with chicken tenderloin, flame grilled and served in a house made bread with garlic and pickles. Combo meant it came with 2 sandwiches and 1 order of fries and a drink. However, I didn't get my drink, it was such a confusing pickup process and no communication on to grab a soda or not. I spent $14.99 so for that much food, I guess the drink can be overlooked. I received my order, walked back to the car and now the food. I don't get it. Chicken was bland, bread was good but small, the overall sandwich was just nothing special. Maybe 5 pieces of chicken total in the sandwich. All I really tasted was the garlic sauce, which was phenomenal by the way, but I came here for the protein and the chicken was just underwhelming. The fries were equivalent to McDonald's but they were good, not seasoned or salted but still tasted good. Hot sauce was average. I ate one sandwich and felt terrible that all I ate was 80% bread and 20% chicken. I don't even eat the second sandwich. Overall not sure what everyone is waiting in line for or what this hype is. This doesn't even come close to the other middle eastern shawarma shops on Harlem Ave. I can understand if you have a very weak palate or cannot tolerate too much spice or flavor but a line out the parking lot is kinda crazy for this. read more

Nashmi is my new favorite place for authentic Middle Eastern food on the go! Even when it's super busy, the staff are friendly and quick, and the restaurant is very clean. The prices are reasonable, so trying everything on the menu won't be too difficult. They have everything from beef shawarma, chicken kabab, beef kabab, and the fries are a big hit too. Parking is limited, but it looks like they're working on making drive-thru ordering available, which will make visiting even more convenient. read more

Chicken wrap was really good. Super flavorful and juicy. And the fries are cooked perfect and they're crispy. I was not a fan of the kebab. The parking was small and the inside was also small but very clean. Very friendly staff. And very well priced food. read more

I become a regular customer there I go all the time their Shawarma is amazing. The place is super nice despite the parking issue. Everyone works there is a friendly and nice NO exception. However, the reason I'm putting four stars review so management can take a look at this in a serious way. The portion of the food is too little for what you pay. I've heard a lot of different opinions from people on how the portion is small. I hope they either add something to it or lower the price. I still go there, but I hope they won't lose Customer. read more

Saturday evening visit. Place was packed, but service was quick and everyone friendly and helpful. Good vibes all around. Have been looking forward to this place opening for a while. Food is good but the location is bad! Small corner lot always crowded with no where to park. No longer able to park in McDonalds, which is for their customers anyway. Now you have to park across the street in the Pizza Hut parking lot. Just waiting to get tossed out of there. Not worth the hassle. Go somewhere else. Honestly I just didn't like the food. The service was good and the people were nice but it was the smallest and least tasty kabab sandwhcih I've ever hard in this area. We went into Nashmi after church this past Sunday to check out the menu. The smells inside the restaurant were amazing! it was also crazy busy (always a good sign). We decided to come back at a later date...as we walked out the door the owner asked us if anything was wrong- I replied that I just wasn't hungry. He asked if we had ever tried Shawarma. We hadn't, so he told us to wait and then he brought out two amazing sandwiches for us to sample this Middle Eastern treat. We definitely will make Nashmi a favorite carry out restaurant. read more
