When I returned, I discovered that the work was incomplete, the yard was rutted from his machinery, the wood chips had been blown into the wrong area, and the stumps hadn't been cut to the ground. He agreed to come back and finish the job. He didn't, and when I finally got him to answer my emails/calls, he pled poverty and asked for more time which I was happy to provide. But, once again, he didn't return and refused to answer calls or emails. I filed my complaint with the BBB and, after 8 months of trying to get him to honor his contract, moved on. Pros are they show up on time, cut grass well. Base on my experience, there were pros and cons: Pros: -very responsive -give us the best one time deal. Cons: -very messy job. After the grass cut they pretty much just leaving all the grass there without blowing or cleaning it. -both side of our front lawn had broken glass from our solar light. Broke one is an accident I get it, but multiple on both side; it's just beyond words. To top it off they just left all the broken glass and pieces there. I guess you get what you pay for. The tallest tree happens to be only 10 feet from the back deck. John did a phenomenal job cutting off limbs that were growing toward the house and deck, leaving the remaining limbs growing vertical. How he managed to do all that, from that height, without damaging the deck or the fence is a mystery. He did incredible work, then cleaned up our yard like he was never there.
