The delicious lunchroom Mac & Cheese.
    David H.

My wife and I have been coming here for many years. We drive the 55 miles here drooling all the way. We have never had a bad meal here. We absolutely love the variety of soups and Mac & cheese choices. And for dessert they always have a wide variety of cookies, muffins and scones. No prepackaged stuff here, everything handmade from scratch. To top it off it is all made with healthy, natural ingredients. I am a true carnivore, but here I truely do not even miss the meat. This is our favorite restaurant in Lincoln.

    Really admiring the decorations

All I can say is, I wanna live here! My friend had been mentioning this place to me for the longest and I finally went. I was totally mind blown by all the awesome decorations and even the potato heads on the ceiling were pretty dopetastic (word of the day! I have never seen a unique place like this before. Food: At first I couldn't find the menu, but my friend pointed out at the colorful flyers near the cash register. They have Moroccan Tomato Soup, Chipotle Potato Soup, Soul of Zorba Mac and Cheese, Chipotle Mac and Cheese, Italian Stuffed and baked Polenta, and Indian red lentil soup to name a few. I got to try the Baby Bella Mac and Cheese, it was really gooood! It had mushrooms, Gouda cheese, bread crumbs, thyme.. you just have to try it. They also have cookies and cheese bread which I heard were must haves. This place is cash and check only, so no plastic. The Bathroom is definitely a must see. So many posters, old magazines, toys, a leopard mirror, so many cool things. if you're ever in Lincoln, make your way to Grateful Bread, it's something to be grateful for!

Quality comfort food. I've only been here twice. The first time was about 4 years ago when I stopped in and had a cinnamon scone. From what I can remember, very good. Last weekend I went back with my boyfriend and had the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had in my life. In. My. Life. Try the chipotle macaroni - it's warm & gooey with yummy crunchy bready bits and a kick of chipotle pepper. The serving was generous enough that it lasted me for 2 meals. We split a delicious cheese scone, and I tried a bite of his curried vegetable soup. All very good on a snowy day. The atmosphere is hippie-kitschy fun - old photos and funky knick-knacks. They use a record player, too. It goes well with comfort food. Boo for cash or check only. (Note: I've only been here for one real meal, and I've heard they keep irregular hours, so that's why I'm only giving it 3 stars for now.)

The best! Recommend the fluffernutter cookies and pot pies. Get there early because the line can be long. Bring cash.

I miss this place. We moved years ago but I still miss their soup, scones, and Mac and cheese.

Did they move or close? I tried to go during listed hours, but it was not open and plants looked under watered.

We walked in and were greeted by the waitress who sat us right away next to the window. She popped back by and asked for our drink order. I had the passion fruit drink which was nice. We ordered our food, we started with the calimari starter and I had the seafood fried rice noodle dish. In short time food was ready. Rhe calamari was amazing. Great salt and pepper breading and nicely fried. It was delicious. The seafood dish was equally nice. It looked very impressive. And everything was so fresh not overcooked. I was very very happy.

Quick service and good food. I had initially wanted viet coffee but the coffee is premixed with a certain amount of sugar and they couldnt half it. So went with cold jasmine tea instead. Then we had fried calamari as appetisers and a grilled shrimp with grilled pork and vermicelli with sweet fish sauce. Wondeful meal - calamari is delicious typical asian style salt and pepper Vermicelli is still warm. Grilled shrimp and pork very nicely done. Grilled woth flavour yet not dry. Will come back again

We had Brussels sprouts and calamari for appetizers. Both dishes were crispy and had great flavor. The sprouts had a sweet balsamic glaze which complimented the earthiness well. The calamari had an airy, crispy breading and a plethora of sauces to choose from for dipping, my favorite being the cocktail sauce which was savory and tangy. For the entree I had a lettuce wrapped cheeseburger and I was really impressed. The beef was juicy and fresh while the condiments were fresh as well. The fries were so good, too! They were crispy, seasoned well and tasted amazing with the ranch. For dessert we had crème brûlée, YUM! The sugar coating was a perfect amount of waxy and sweet, and balanced well with the vanilla custard. The custard was creamy, decadent and super satisfying. The vibe of the restaurant is homey, upscale and warm, great place for a celebration or date night.

Each one is so good. We threw down at this restaurant. The drinks and service is just as good. The team here knows what they are doing. They served us up quick and gave me a very memorable birthday brunch. The only downside is parking, especially if it's a busy weekend! Come early, plan ahead. There's limited free street parking. I strongly recommend making a reservation online. We had one, but still had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table. The food and experience was worth the wait.

It was incredibly welcoming and begged for you to take a seat by the fireplace in the corner. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for a sit-down visit, I was just buying tasty things to bring home from my vacation, for me and for gifts. Not pictured (because I demolished them before I even thought about it) are the chocolate-covered gummy bears! I cannot recommend these enough. This treat is actually hard to find and even harder to find well done, and these were wonderful. The bears were nice and fresh and they had just the right amount of chocolate coating. The dark chocolate drizzle finishing them off was nice but probably unnecessary, and just ended up in a pile of crumbles that was hard to get out of the bottom of the plastic tube they came in. The serving size justified the price, in my opinion. There were so many other great souvenir treats available! But I moved on to the truffle case with all its gorgeous gourmet gems awaiting me! I selected four and was most excited for the Earl Grey one. It was decent but disappointing; I tasted very little tea inside, it was pretty much just a plain caramel filling to me. The other two are still awaiting me. The ladies behind the counter were helpful and friendly, and were patient with my indecision. I also got one of their house stickers for my collection and I was thrilled that it was so reasonably priced! Some places charge SO MUCH for stickers that are, essentially, advertisement for them. I wish I could return soon but I live far away and it will probably be a couple years before I'm back. But you can be sure I'll be making time for a longer trip here then!
