I was injured by a cervical (neck) adjustment by Dr. Paul Cross due his use of brute force at my first and only visit at Graves Chiropractic. I then met with Dr. Graves the following week to discuss my injury and he stated that maybe the pain I was experiencing in my neck and head was from Covid or lifting something heavy. FYI, up until the injury, I did not experience headaches. I scheduled the visit due to a clicking in my shoulder. I ended up going to the ER a few days after the adjustment because I had severe pain in my head and was told I had sustained a neck strain and the equivalent of whiplash. It's now been two and a half months since being injured and due to this injury, I have lost my nearsighted vision, am having ongoing sinus issues and pain in my forehead. I coughed up blood the day after the adjustment and developed a bad respiratory infection a few days later. (I had not had a cold or respiratory infection since 2013.) I have pain running through my sinuses and teeth, numbness on the outer part of my hands upon waking and issues focusing on completing tasks. Dr. Graves has chosen to ignore my calls and has taken no responsibility for the injury caused by Dr. Cross' adjustment. Furthermore, his statement that maybe Covid (I had zero symptoms of Covid) or lifting something heavy was causing my head pain after I explained to him what happened during the adjustment is concerning. FYI..I have seen chiropractors for 20 years and never have I had a chiropractor rip my head straight across my body with no angle and with such great force as if I was a large person. I weigh 108 lbs and my neck is the size of some people's arm. I caution anyone considering going to this practice due to the injury I sustained and lack of accountability and integrity I have experienced. read more

1 star because of friendliness. Had a pinched nerve in c7. For $1500+ worth of visits we did the same routine with nothing more to improve my pinch nerve only to continue same adjustments and exersize. I asked for traction on spine they said they would but never did. Just same routine. They promised x-ray to see improvement after 30 days. Nothing after 30 days, same routine. Dr. Graves never once treated me. Only a young rookie chiropractor. A couple times a more experienced one , (Dr Elliot) who did things with a bit more power which was nice, although him cursing with clients where I can hear it all , pretty unprofessional to say the least + lose confidence I was able to treat my pinched nerve in 1 day after being frustrated with no progress and same routine. After hours of research online I was able to self diagnose it was exactly c7 by using some techniques (which they never told me really where it was pinched). I used a towel method to perform traction on neck to pull my spine up immediately providing relief. Then used a theracane and some basic knowledge of biomechanics to pull my c7 to the right instantly giving relief and no longer have pain today. Also after I stopped showing up, there was zero follow-up or any concern to me as a customer Waste of $1500, I could've used that money for my kids or something if I had just done more research sooner. They're just there to sell you appointments for that reoccurring $$$. They never did anything proactive and do not feel cared as a patient. Basically you come in, get your back cracked, do 5-6 exersizes, lay down on roller table, get you in and out fast as possible and collect $$$. I did overhear them bragging about how many adjustments they "knocked out" by end of the week. We're just $$$ at the end of the day. So pissed I fixed my pinch nerve myself and wasted hard earned money In the end, if you have real pain, find a place that wants to get your healed asap and has an arsenal of techniques. If you just need some backcracking or neck cracked because you feel sore or stiff then this place might be ok for you. Just don't get suckered like another reviewer here, they are here upsell you. read more

Don't quit just because you start to feel better. I have used chiropractors in the past but usually quit going as soon as I start feeling better and, not surprisingly, I end up back where I started in pretty short order. I decided to go throughout the treatment plan offered by the staff at Graves and I have to say, after about five or six weeks I am feeling better than I ever have. I will not say that it is some miracle cure because it isn't but I will say that as we age there are options for feeling better that do not include drugs. I try to avoid taking meds if I can and this has definitely helped me to avoid the masking treatments. Another thing to not is the staff, I mean non-clinical staff. They are as friendly and customer focused as I have seen and I was in healthcare for almost 20 years. Kimberly is a ray of sunshine every day I walk in the door. I wish I could say that have her attitude most days. As far as the clinical staff, Linda deserves marks for being both a highly skilled clinical staff member as well as a very friendly and caring to all of the patients. The docs here are great and seem to work very well as a team. If one is having difficulty they go to one of their colleagues and they assist right away. I think that I have been adjusted by everyone there and I have been very pleased with all of them. Every single person who works at Graves Family Clinic is fantastic, not only at their jobs but as human beings. From the moment you walk in until you walk out, you are cared for. The Sandy, Sandy and Nicky at the front desk, Linda, all of the doctors and interns and Laurel, the best massage therapist I've met. Everyone is happy and friendly. Dr. Elliot and Dr. Graves are the best. I have not worked with the other doctors, but I'm sure they are also great. Graves Family Clinic emphasizes the importance of neck exercises and has a special space to do them in their big common treatment room. Linda is always there to help you with them and the equipment. They also have a separate room of Massage tables that roll (with cold packs) to help stretch the spine gently. There is a separate different kind of stretching table, too! When you have your first appointment, Dr. Graves and Linda give you a full assessment post back x-ray. Then, Dr. Elliot (in my case) works his magic. Dr. Elliot is also a sports medicine performance professional so his knowledge is especially broad when it comes to making one do better or run faster. Everyone here helped me get back to normal after I had a hysterectomy and couldn't exercise for six weeks. The lack of exercise made my back and abdominal muscles lose strength which caused my previously managed spinal stenosis to become excruciating. I can't thank them all enough. BTW, their interns also work magic! Kinsey has used a pressure point technique that adds much to the chiropractic. I can't thank them enough. Their offices are lovely. UPDATE: one day, Dr. Eliot told me he had done as much as he could. My back was fine but my groin had begun to hurt. He recommended that I have an MRI to determine what was causing what I thought was a ligament in my groin to hurt. Turns out I had a totally "shot" right hip! I'm bone-on-bone! No more cartilage at all!! Going in for a full right hip replacement in two weeks. This is the ultimate in ethical chiropractic practice, in my opinion. He could have just let me keep coming and never said anything. These doctors are the best! read more

This team is oustanding from the time you walk in. I love that they send the automatic text reminders about appointments, as I have a really busy schedule, but that's just the "extra stuff". My back was locked up to the point where I was not able to sit up to get out of bed. I couldn't get out of a chair without it feeling like I had been kicked in the ..."oysters". Being active was impossible. Golf is a passion of mine and was completely out of the question in the situation I was in. They did an Xray on me before touching my back (which was something that was my personal prequalifier for any chiropractor that was going to work on me) and managed to get me adjusted and feeling much better with a couple of visits. They are very knowledgable and explain what they are doing, why they are doing it and give me instructions for preventative maintenance. We are working on my back but they are also addressing the plantar faciitis that forced me to give up playing hockey for the last year. I feel we are on the right course and would highly recommend these doctors. I've been to a lot of chiropractors in my 53 years and these guys are right at the top. Well, overall, I had a good experience. The front office and doctors were so nice to my kids, which I appreciated. But the whole office seems to be a big "selling" office. They push supplements, and how you MUST see a chiropractor the rest of your life to be healthy, which I personally don't believe. I felt pressured into having to keep coming back. Dr Elliot was great, and my adjustments felt amazing. (Except for one on my neck, left me in more pain afterwords). All the doctors and therapists are the best and are always willing to make sure you are satisfied with your treatment and that your medical treatment protocol is working for your condition. I did not encounter very long wait times at all but, if I did have to wait, it was probably about 5 minutes and that is not a long wait time. They have excellent equipment and machine massagers that are always meticulously wiped clean after each use by the therapists who monitor the treatment time. It reminds of the time when I was in the Navy where, no matter what job we all did on our ships or submarines, we were always reminded that "If you protect your equipment, your equipment will protect you." First of all I'd like to start off by saying that I work for a Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and I never thought I'd be in a chiropractor's office being seen for back pain. I'm glad I made the decision to see Dr. Paul Graves. Great practice! Friendly staff and knowledgeable. Got me in right away on the same day. My insurance benefits were verified and explained to me. The doctor was thorough and explained the roots of my problems and pain. Overall the personal service and attention I received on my first appointment there was spectacular. Discussed a care plan with me and made goals. After 2-3 hours of my appointment I felt 40% less pain. I was carrying groceries, playing with my three year old and slept all night, something I haven't been able to do in days due to excruciating pain. I would highly recommend this medical team to my family, friends, parents and any patient that asked for a good chiropractor referral! I'll point him to Graves Chiropractic Office.
