RUN away as fast you can. I used to see Dr. Gray about 10 years ago. When I moved away I recommended him to family members. Now that I have left I realize Dr. Gray was the worst dentist I have ever met. His bedside manner is atrocious. Do not expect him to say more than two words to you or spend more than 90 seconds with you. I am writing this review on behalf of my family member. They saw Dr. Gray for 10 years and one day they went in and was told they needed to have not ONE but TWO teeth pulled due to decay under a filling. This was shocking news considering Dr. Gray performed regular X-rays and never mentioned there was any issues. He is extremely unkind and totally incompetent. If you care about your teeth PLEASE FIND ANOTHER DENTIST. Worse experience ever! read more

I was terribly disappointed with the service at this location. I endured an incredible amount of pain, which I understand is not at all usual. I was very reluctant to go to a dentist to begin with, fearing discomfort and pain. Afterwards, I'm justified in this fear. My partials, after 3 adjustments, are still uncomfortable! Came here for an Army mandated annual exam; lil nervous after reading a negative review. So far the parking lot was tricky with my big truck but staff seems nice & knowledgable. I love the big fish tank in the waiting area for kids. I did have to wait a long time to be seen; 50 min but a crying little girl appeared to be reason so I can wait. Hygienist was very sweet. Dentist Gray is nice cute & professional; I don't see need for previous negative review but we all experience things differently. He is not as outgoing as previous dentist Bush but staff assures me he's s better quality dentist. I was very comfortable with his care. read more

This is the worst service I have received of any industry let alone for dental care. I was a first time patients and the provider, Ashley, just started working on me as if I was some robbot. No telling me why I was getting xrays or what to expect. After a painful cleaning ( which of course is not her fault since I haven't consistently flossed), the doctor came in for 5 seconds, did not even introduce himself, and then left. That was it! I had a six months appointment for another cleaning but I would rather not spend my time at such a practice. Please find a different dentist! read more

Company quoted me a price on a Crown after giving them all my insurance information. The office staff person told me she was very familiar with my policy and the total cost would be $. 2 hours before my appointment they emailed me (not call) another price and it was double! Only thing they did good for me was email me prior to going down so I could avoid the shady business practices. Stay clear from this one! read more

This place is terrible. I needed a new dentist and booked this place after it was listed in Nashville Lifestyles best of. Maybe I got the wrong Gray Dentistry because this place was horrible. It was gross and unclean, and the dentist wasn't back from lunch to check my teeth after my cleaning, so I waited in his chair for 30 min, and finally just left. Nothing makes me more mad than people acting like their time is more valuable than mine. I had to plan, and get a babysitter to make this appointment, and this guy was just out enjoying lunch. It's ridiculous. I was hoping to find a mew dentist, but you could not pay me to go back to this place. read more

Dental hygienists are great but the dentist did not take any time with me. I needed a crown and the hygienist did the molding then fitting at my next visit. He physically put the crown in my mouth and then left without checking to see if the fit was right. Not impressed. My family will not be going back. read more

Okay, before this was Gray Dental Care, it was Bush dental, and it was such a great practice. I was with Bush for years and stayed with Gray out of convenience and mainly because I loved the staff, especially my hygienist. But after 4 or 5 years of poor dental care from the actual Dentists (the Gray husband and wife team), I've had enough. What prompted me to write this review is I actually went to my new dentist today and he tells me that I have 8 cavities, and all but two were old cavity fillings that were leaking because they were not done well at Gray dental. That doesn't surprise me. When I did my fillings with the Grays, they were very rough, I always went home with ulcers on my gums and would be in pain for weeks. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend anyone going here. Their dentistry is terrible... and their personalities are the same. There is no communication between them and the patients. The husband Gray is so pompous...never had asked me a single personal question (not even, how's your day going). The wife is nicer, but she is a terrible dentist. If I can take my hygienist with me, that would be great, and I am very disappointed to leave her. But I've really got to get my teeth fixed after all the damage the Grays have done to them. I am sorry to leave the staff as well, the front desk is always super nice and friendly. I've known them for years since they were with Bush Dental. It's sad to leave them. read more

I haven't been to the dentist in at least a year, probably more. But I recently got dental insurance, so I made an appointment at Gray Dental Care, primarily because it took my insurance and it was close to my house. The building is easy to find but has a strangely shaped parking lot that made it a little difficult to get my car out. Anyways, everyone there was very nice and friendly. They had me checked in quickly and the cleaning appointment took about an hour. Wait times weren't unreasonable, the cleaning was thorough and the dentist was knowledgeable. Everything went very smoothly, which is the best you can hope for in a dentist appointment. read more

I can say without question the worst medical person (I cannot say professional) I have ever had to deal with--and I'm 55. The first visit was ok. He said he looked the xrays and everything looked fine. I was taken aback by how little time he spent with me (maybe 2 minutes if that). The second visit/cleaning discover a small cavity, but he didn't show up to do the examination, so I had to come back. At that time, he again spent maybe 1 minute doing the exam then told me I had to come back to get the filling done. It was as if I had waited his time. As I was getting the filling done on the 4th visit, it suddenly occurred to me that he was referencing the 6 month old xrays he told me at my first visit looked great. He had already drilled my tooth, so I couldn't stop him. Lastly, through all of this I still have no idea what he looks like. He wore a mask at all times. No bedside manner. Run as fast as you can away. If you work there, find another job. read more

Big waste of time and money! Its been a year since I've had 2 crowns put on by Dr. Gray (the husband). Well really his assistants did all the work ...he rarely spoke or was seen. I had to go in multiple times as the temporaries kept popping off and the permanent crown also came off and had to be re-cemented. That was just irritating, but now I'm upset because I've found out the work was not good. One of the crowns has been messed up since the beginning with a funky odor and taste. I went to another dentist today, a good one. There is a serious infection & decay under the 1st crown that has to be removed, tooth extracted, and now needs an implant. The 2nd crown isn't fit right and will be next on the list to have fixed before the problem worsens with it also. Please do your research and read reviews, I had read a few negatives ones about the Grays office but blew it off thinking only jerk types take the time for that. Sorry to say but in this case its true. Maybe Dr. Gray can start taking the time needed for his patients, talk to them, do a proper evaluation, explain whats wrong and whats needed. I learned more in 1 hour today than the previous 6 visits to him. My new dentists actually listens to me and informs me. On an up note, the staff was super nice and friendly. read more

Do not visit this office. Most disrespectful and irresponsible staff ever. They gave me an appointment written on an appointment card and when I went there (after taking time off of work which for me is very difficult) they said they could not take care of me that day and that I had to return another day. I showed them the appointment card they gave me a month before and they totally didn't care at all. They do not have respect or care for your time. They also overcharge you. There are many other great dentists in Nashville. This is not one of them. Will never go back to this office. read more

After too many factory-style up-sells for whitening (3 in 4 years,), Gray Dental provides a careful, professional, and family friendly dentist. The hygienists care about their work and seem legitimately happy with their jobs. The office is well run with a pleasant waiting room and cozy (but not neo-modern) patient areas. The appointments book with a reasonable lead-time so that we can get appointments when we need them without booking years in advance. We just had a bit of a dental emergency and the staff worked us in with no notice and calmly treated my daughter. Thank you! read more

If There was an option to give less than one star I would give them -5 stars,the worst dentist ever. long story short. They did root canal Friday. I was in really bad pain until Monday. I went in Monday they told me there is nothing we can do for you pain because they didn't do the operation correctly. They said I should go see a specialist. Specialist fixed what they did wrong. I paid twice for the work they did for me. Afterward they finally put in the implants, my implants literally fell off before I left the parking lot. I went back in i told them the implants came off, they had them put back on again not long after I was home they came off for the second time. This is long story I wish I could explain the pain I had. Total waste of time so I highly recommend you all to seek a different office, I'm not longer their patient and will never be in my life again. Please beware!!! Strictly businesses they don't care about you. The other side of my mouth was bleeding for at least two months because of the bridge. read more
