They came as scheduled and saw my old girl in our driveway. Dr. Anderson and the vet tech weighed her, examined her, and drew blood with so much kindness and patience, I'm not convinced she knew it was a vet appointment. They followed up on the bloodwork promptly with realistic recommendations, considering her age and situation. I will be using them for my younger dog who currently has two prescriptions in order to endure a vet appointment. It is a bit more expensive as you pay for the house call and it does take a while to get an appointment--I believe they scheduled this annual visit out about a month from when I made it, however it is totally worth the extra money and the wait.

They advised me to put him on a diet, which I did. He went from 24 pounds to 15. He was so energetic and happy. Then he went downhill. Fast. He suddenly started throwing up and refusing to eat. I took him to an emergency vet and then Lake Region called, wanting me to bring him in 2 days later. I didn't know that I was going to go home without my best friend of 15 years that day. He was worse than I thought. They advised me to put him to sleep. My heart was broken. Then Dr Andrine made it a thousand times worse by demonstrating what his breathing would be like if he was a human and chastising me for how much weight he'd lost! When I tried to explain he'd lost weight over time, she didn't listen to me. I already felt guilty and devastated and she made me feel so much worse. My dog has been gone 2 months and I have those horrible moments in my memory of when I said goodbye to him and I cry my eyes out. It was unnecessary. While I am grateful for their past help with the Cushings disease, I found a new vet when I got a new puppy a few weeks ago. Dr Andrine should be more empathetic with grieving pet parents. She came across as extremely judgmental and seemed to blame me when I had spent over $100 every 5 weeks for his Cushings meds, put him on a diet and did everything I could to keep my previous little guy around for as long as possible. I loved my dog and did everything I could for him. While I'm sure it was just another day for her, this was one of the worst days of my entire life and she only made it worse.

And yes he was a pitbull. Not a mean Bone in his body. But when Dr. griffin listened & saw him. He determined his condition without any X-Ray or any blood tests or even a sonogram. When he got back into the room he looked at both my parents & I and said that he has fluid around his heart. By only listening without any X-Ray So we had to euthanize our family pet. We brought Bowie in after only six days of having him due to concern for urinary issues. From our perspective, he had been symptomatic since day one, with frequent urination despite otherwise appearing like a bright, healthy boy and eating his prescription diet. We had also been repeatedly requesting his full medical records from the shelter we adopted him from, but did not receive them until the day we rushed him in for evaluation and further care. At his appointment, the team immediately identified an emergent urinary blockage on assessment and acted quickly. It was only then that we were able to fully comprehend his medical history from the shelter records, which revealed severe and complex prior issues including FIC, two recent urinary blockages requiring surgical intervention, complications from repeated catheter removal and internal trauma, and other significant health concerns that we had not been informed of prior to adoption. We had initially hoped we might be able to discuss elective PU surgery to prevent future issues, but it quickly became clear this was an emergency situation and he was already blocked. After thorough discussion with the veterinary team, we were advised that Bowie's condition was extremely serious and would require a third unblocking procedure and eventual PU surgery if he became stable enough after the initial medical treatment. Even with intervention, he would remain at high risk for recurrence and ongoing medical complexity that would decrease his quality of life and raise the question of euthanasia. In light of his condition and prognosis, we made the devastating decision to medically surrender Bowie so he could receive continued emergency treatment. The hospital proceeded with his care pro-bono following the surrender, which we will always be profoundly thankful for. Despite the devastating circumstances, the entire team treated us with compassion, honesty, and without judgment. They focused entirely on what was best for Bowie, and made an unbearable situation feel supported and dignified. We are especially thankful for Dr. Sara Gould and Dr. Sabrina Williams and their expertise, clear communication, and extraordinary compassion throughout this process. We will always be thankful that Bowie was met with such care and dignity in his medical journey, and for the humanity this team showed us during an incredibly painful goodbye. They are truly angels and I am forever grateful they were able to help my beautiful boy. We love you, Bowie.

I brought my pup in at 3 am because of crying most of the night. He does have a known UTI with struvite crystals and a urine pH of 9. At first she wanted to do an x ray and ultrasound to look for stones. Uhh. Ultrasound would've seen both. No need for the xray. I nicely suggested starting with the ultrasound. ANYTIME I tried at all to advocate for my pup, I got attitude and talked to as if I knew absolutely nothing. I also asked if she could prescribe something to lower the urinary pH, as that would be a double approach to help resolve the infection. She threw her hands up, claimed that my asking questions and seeking clarification was "abusive" and "she's not taking that at 3 am" It's basic infection cycle. Interrupt the cycle at as many points as you can, get quicker resolve. If you need emergent care, steer clear of this place. Go right to Portland. Like she suggested we should've. First time here, and absolutely will NEVER be back nor recommend ANYONE else. Imagine claiming someone's being abusive because they don't want to answer questions as to their thought process in the care of your animal. Absolutely insane

We have a primary vet established but we've held off a visit until she had calmed down a bit; after about 6 weeks, she's just starting to come out and play and ask for love. As I was getting ready to head out the door, I noticed her eye was very inflamed in a way it was not the day before. I'm very calm in emergencies, except when it comes to my loved ones; then I'm a basket case. My vet said to go PetMedic so we called and they made an appointment for us immediately. We got in and they were so kind. I'm always worried I'm overreacting when it comes to my pet's health but they were so reassuring. Tiki was the calmest we've seen her, they were able to do all the tests in the room while I held her so she was comfortable. Dr. Armstrong and I believe the VT's name was Jessica were so very kind and patient with me and laid explained everything to us. I really did like how they broke down the bill. Emergent care is always going to be expensive, but honestly, our $615 was a lot lower than we were expecting for the tests run and the medications we received. They break down the bill to explain every single charge for you so you understand why it is what it is and it makes a lot of sense.
