Boise Riverside RV Park - About 9:30, if there's a home game, you might not have quiet sleep for fifteen minutes, but it's a fun diversion.

The camp store has a few things but restaurants, grocery, and coffee were all within a five minute drive. The park staff and office staff were both friendly, and lead you to your campsite. If you're passing through, its's a cute, clean park. Some residential sites appeared to be long-term but had tidy campsites with potted plant instead of rust or clutter. Passing through or dropping anchor, It was, and appears to be, a pleasant stay. We were able to reserve by phone and speak to a human, rather than filling out an online request (no thanks). The cute little store had camping supplies and cold drinks, but no beer or wine, so bring it with you and don't act like a rookie.

If I could leave a negative review, I would. My husband and I are developers who travel frequently…read morein our fifth wheel for work. Over the last five years, we've stayed in RV parks all across the country and have almost always had positive experiences -- until this one. The issue began when we reserved and paid for a 50-amp site, which was confirmed both on our application and again in the office upon arrival. However, when we got to our site, it only had 30-amp service, which was not sufficient for our trailer, especially for a long-term summer stay. I politely called the office assuming it was simply a mistake. Instead, the manager (I believe his name was Patrick) came over with an immediately hostile attitude. When I explained that we had requested and been approved for 50 amp service, he shrugged and said, "So what?" After the office confirmed our application did in fact specify 50 amp, he accused me of "not even knowing what amp you use," which was unnecessary and disrespectful. I calmly explained that I simply wanted what we paid for or at least some kind of compromise or solution. Instead, he repeatedly told us, "If you're not happy, you can leave." We had a 32-foot fifth wheel and nowhere to go on short notice in the middle of the afternoon. The situation escalated because of his aggressive behavior and complete lack of customer service. Ten minutes later, he returned with a refund for our monthly rent and told us, "You're out of here." They also kept our $300 deposit. Apparently this is common practice, based on both their paperwork and other reviews. We are respectful, clean professionals and were shocked by how we were treated simply for advocating for ourselves respectfully. This manager seemed more interested in being right than resolving a reasonable issue. Ironically, months later, this same manager delivered rental equipment to one of our job sites. Shortly after, we learned from the rental company that he had been fired, and they described him as "not a nice person." There were several other uncomfortable interactions I won't get into, but the overall environment felt dysfunctional, accusatory, and unprofessional. This experience was stressful enough that it took me months to even write this review. If management and customer service matter to you, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Just past Lucky Peak Reservoir about 15 minutes, you'll find a little turn out on the left hand side of the road that leads to Robie Creek. Head down that road for about 5 minutes and then you'll arrive! The nitty-gritty: This park has a humble little beach, buoys set in place that mark off where it is safe to swim, a small parking lot, restrooms and covered patios with picnic tables underneath. The fun stuff: What I love about this spot is that it is SO peaceful (at least, that's always been my experience here!). Its far enough out of town that you feel like you can disconnect from the busyness of life, but close enough that your car's gas tank won't hurt too bad from driving to it. My suggestion? Bring a paddle board with you and paddle out to the middle of the water, lay down on your board, and look up! The mix of the refreshing water, clear blue skies, cliffs surrounding the water, and lack of cell phone service out here on a hot summer day are like a little slice of heaven. Looking to get out in the sun and play in the water? Give this place a go- it's wonderful!

It is absolutely beautiful out on the lake, and the views can't be beat. Here are some thoughts/recommendations for your visit: -The dock is NOT the place to fish with young children. It sways back and forth and kids are likely to fall in if they aren't watched carefully! Also be careful- there is lots of bird and deer poop on the dock! -It's hard to guess what might make the fish bite. Salmon eggs seemed to attract the most fish, but we still only caught one. We tried worms and fishing cheese as well. -The playground is really fun for kids, but the grassy area is filled with poop that make it hard to walk safely -The parking is so close to the lake, which was awesome!! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here, and would recommend a visit! It's not a terribly far drive from Boise, either.
