We're permanent residents here because we love this place! The staff are wonderful, friendly, and work hard to keep this place as lovely as it is. In the clubhouse you can play pool, watch tv, swim in the pool or lounge in the jacuzzi. There's also a wonderful kitchen where you can reserve the room for a get-together-an island to prepare, plenty of frig space and lots of tables set up in a 1950's theme! You can hear the speedway from where we live, and you can hear a train off in the distance. We love that community feeling we have here, and can afford the price. Cheers to KOA! Stayed one night. Very clean and convenient. Only issue was the showers weren't open at the office so had to use showers next to the pool. The water was not hot, which was, of course, unpleasant. Otherwise a very nice place to stay. read more

This KOA is well maintained, but it is only set up for RVs or trailers w/ bathrooms and kitchens. If you have a tent trailer or a tent, this is not the campground for you. There are limited bathrooms/showers (we had to walk quite a ways to get to the bathrooms), there's no area for campers to do their dishes, and there is literally a racetrack a half mile away. The race cars were loud until after 10pm (I think they finished up with their fireworks show around 10:30). Also, the dog areas are just tiny fenced in grass- no fun dog park like some other KOAs we've been to. And the sites are tiny! Luckily, we only stayed here one night as we were passing through, but I would only recommend this KOA if you have an RV. read more

I booked a pull through but was given a back-in spot. It is too tiny space and so close to your neighbor RVers. When we arrived it was so packed full. You can hear next neighbor talk, open doors. It is not a campground. It is just a RV back to back parking place with electricity and water. Sewer size is not fitting our pipe. We won't stay again. read more

It is taken care of nicely, However the picture they have online and the only one spot that they lie and say is available is a BAIT and SWITCH. It looks like a nice patio setting, even shows that it has BBQ. So when i get a regular site that has only a table, I ask about the patio site i saw online. Also, i say i used my points as well. I was refunded 25.00 dollars which i did not ask for because now i have to pay more for a site i did not want in the First place. I was told that they are all patio sites. I never knew Meridian had a KOA RV Park. My in-laws from out of state came to visit and stayed there. It was nice, clean and well taken care of. The park has laundry and electrical facilities onsite. It's better than going camping and roughing it out in the wilderness. Neighbors were friendly. My in-laws had a great time and said they would be back again!! read more

Reserved a pull-thru site online for one night. - email confirmation was accurate. When we arrived, they tried to put me in a back-in site (I'm towing a vehicle). This was an easy fix upon going in to the office. They gave me the smallest pull-thru in the complex - not a huge deal - it is pull through. Sites are gravel put generally level. However, the campsites sit on top of each other! We're crammed in here like sardines. Won't ever stay here again. read more

Stayed here again and booked a PULL-THRU hoping to avoid the tight & short spaces. We have to pull out first thing in the morning. Well....the pull through is by far the longest I have ever stayed in (+), but it is also very narrow. I couldn't swing he 40' 5th wheel to make a straight shot because of the "extra" parking offered to the permanent dwellers impeded part of the road space to do so. Thus, I had to pull in at an angle and then after parking, kids out, jacks down, discovered the slides were NOT going to miss the power box which is in the pull thru itself instead of off to the side. I had to maneuver three times to get enough space and ended up with my tires on the site sidewalk to allow enough space. Awesome length on site, but dropped a star for narrowness. read more

Well I have to say that my three half to four stars is simply because our personal reason for staying was for the internet and it just so happened that the internet was down the night we stayed. I would have given them a better review if they would have answered one of the three contact numbers listed when the issue arose - but they did not. On the other hand, the staff was friendly, park was very well maintained and they had all the amenities you could want. I have stayed at quite a few campgrounds at this point (we travel for work in our camper van) and this was not my favorite shower experience but it definitely did the job and I didn't feel like the area was neglected. I would suggest to the staff to add a seat in the shower and use some CLR to make the appearance of standing water on the small pink tiles go away (it just made me feel yucky) but other than that it was great. They even offered you a little area to put your shower soaps in while in the shower area itself and it wasn't one of those annoying coin operated or timed showers like some places have. We did bring our dog but given the time we stayed and the circumstances (work) we were not able to play in the K9 camp areas. I did notice the doggy disposal sites around the park though. Another cool thing about this park was they actually had a jacuzzi, not just a pool, plus a gazebo with a lit fire for people to sit around. This perk was real cozy especially arriving around 8:30pm with the rain, the fire pit just gave you a sense of relaxation and coziness that I really enjoyed. I was able to check out the laundry facility even though we did not use it - it was nice. $1.25 for a wash and .25 each ten minutes you dry. Not bad. Again, with some CLR in that bathroom and N internet connection I can rely on I would stay again. Hope this review helps. read more

This is a tough one to review. On the one hand the staff is organized and The property is well-maintained. It's reasonably priced and pretty much what you would expect for a KOA in the middle of a urban community. On the other hand RV'ers should be aware that there are quite a few live in's at this campground. That's not all together a bad thing typically but the location is in a relatively economically depressed area. It's not the ghetto or anything but it definitely has a tinge of sketchiness to the feel. All that being said it was a fine place to spend the night as a waypoint to get to the next destination. I'd like to give it 3 1/2 stars for the staff and cleanliness of the grounds, but I couldn't quite give it four stars due to its location and lack of amenities. Honestly, I don't think my wife stepped foot outside of the RV. If you set your expectations appropriately, you'll have a fine experience and utilize the campground for what it is. This is my second time here at the KOA in Boise and pulled up no reservations which my bad on my part but luckily somebody had just canceled . the owner said hey I remember you it was several years ago . I was surprised He remembered giving Me a ride to the Restaurant. the owner takes a lot of pride in their property and it shows it's nice to have a mature tree and a picnic table and even a little bit of grass to rest by after hours on the road. read more

This was by far our least pleasant KOA camping, or heck even all time worst in general, experience we've ever had. We are moving cross camping and caravanning with the in laws who have a small camper trailer. A couple days before we were due to arrive in the Boise area, they recommended the KOA. We have a toddler and a tent, and were a little disappointed we couldn't be closer to grandma and grandpa who were traveling, but oh well. They said they'd hold a tent spot for us. We arrived and immediately knew that the spot had to be a joke. It had a patch of grass about 2-3' wide, and the asphalt immediately beside it had a picnic table and Babrbeque chained to the spots so we couldn't move it. The rest was gravel that was easily 102° that afternoon. We also noticed that the site was right on the corner of a busy turning spot for the RVs, directly under a super bright street lamp, and right across from the dumpster and bathrooms. Lovely. Looking around, there was another empty tent spot a couple sites down. So we decided to ask up front if we could move. When my husband was in the front office, the woman in front of us was checking in when we hear her say, "wait, you didn't give me my 10% discount!" right after putting her card away when it sounded like it was something they had discussed before. The woman at the counter just said, "well, the transaction already went through, nothing I can do now." And the woman was quite upset. We come up and explain our situation. We are a family with a young kid and our larger 8'x8' tent won't fit in the grass spot and it will be hard with a toddler. The front desk woman, Shirley, then says, "oh, well you're not supposed to use the grass, you use the gravel." My husband replied, "you mean the hot 102° gravel?" Which she replied, "it's a special gravel, it's like a cushion." (BTW, it's not). We explained that there was a much larger spot with more grass and shade and away from the street lamp only about 3 spaces down. She tells us that she's reserved that one for another person. My husband brings up that we are there now and they are not, and she just refuses to move us. My husband is upset at the blatant lack of empathy or care the staff have off. So we wait until after its dark to hopefully cool down and we put up our tent on the gravel under the sun-bright street lamp. Turns out we can't stake our tent down in the gravel as it bends our stakes. There's only 1-2" of gravel. This SUCKS. There is also a wind store and so here we are with a larger tent in a wind store with a site we can't stake down and under a street lamp that is as bright as day oh, and we had a 2 year old and a cat with us we were moving. Lovely. The spot a couple sites down didn't get anyone in it until 10 that night. Our toddler couldn't go to sleep and kept waking up terrified because the sides of our tent kept blowing in on him because we couldn't stake down our tent. He gravel was so poky and uncomfortable that I couldn't believe you could camp without an air mattress and I was worried about it puncturing our mattress. It hurt too much to even roll my tent up in the morning! The facility was nice, but the tent camping was ridiculous. The RVs are packed in like sardines, and don't expect more than a 3-4' patch of grass unless you snag a select few of he corner lots. The site cost $27 for the night and it wasn't worth half that. If my inlaws weren't with us, we'd rather park in a damn city park and camp that the KOA for tents. read more

What a pristine campground! Pulling in to registration you are greeted by a gazebo and bubbling fountain. The campsites are all very tidy & clean. The grounds are well-manicured. The clubhouse boasts of a social room, game room, indoor pool (with hot tub), and a laundry room. The bathrooms and laundry are clean and well-maintained (there's even an iron available for community use). The only reasons I am giving this KOA 4 stars instead of 5 is because 1) it didn't come across as a family-oriented/kid-friendly (the playground was minimal and no activities for kids) and 2) the wi-fi was pretty bad (signal was weak and I kept getting kicked off randomly). read more

I asked 3 times before driving out of my way , if the Jacuzzi was working. I needed the jets for my pain after a long drive. It was my only request. I was told yes it is working. When we got in the jacuzzi the jets were not working and it was not clean- gross floaters - I was very angry and when I told the manager that I had asked 3 times if it was working he just turned away and said " it isn't cold". We were full-time RV'ers at the time we stayed here from 8/2016 to 10/2016. The staff here is quite friendly and helpful. The check in process was quick and they have different social events through the week if you like that sort of thing. Other than this point I cannot say that we had a great stay at this park. Reasons? WiFi was horrible. Although we were told they were upgrading it the day we checked-in, we were there a little over 2 months and it still was slow and kicked us off repeatedly. Had to rely on cell phone to do all online tasks. They mow the lawn here every single Monday. This doesn't sound like a big deal really until you are the nightshift nurse trying to sleep while the 2 foot patches of grass are being mowed for 4 plus hours. My husband inquired because the grass obviously did not need to be mowed and was told that it was mowed weekly 'whether it needs it or not.' The spaces are tiny. You can hear everything happening in your neighbors RV all the time. Not fun. Many of the RV's are full-time here. This makes much of the park look more like a trailer lot than a campground. There just didn't seem to be a standard as to how people kept the area around their RV. Dogs barking were crazy too... The road through the park is tiny and curves are tight. You come seriously close to hitting other RV's that hang out of spots on the turns. The camping area is right on top of a big blind turn. Not the smartest since many of the tenters have little kiddos that like to run back and forth to the restrooms in that area. BEWARE! The last point is just that there is a race track about 1 mile away and they have races most weekends Thurs-Sunday night. If you are a race fan you will love the walking access. If you are in search of a peaceful experience this is not it at all. You hear the cars going round and round until 11 or so each of those nights. read more

After a long drive in, it was nice to pull straight into a clean site. We were guided into the spot by an employee, who helped us get into the fairly narrow site with room for our slide out. There was a clean but small indoor pool which was the perfect temperature for a hot day. They have fantastic home cooked breakfasts Saturday morning for only $5. We came up to Idaho this week and stayed here for 5 days. 7/2018 , Overall the staff was great and friendly. The sites could use some revamping, Maybe make them a little wider and deeper for the back in. You feel pretty on top of one another. That is not the reason for only 3 stars however. The pool was indoors, it was very hot and stuffy, maybe some skylights that open would help. The spa was out of service. So if your spa is out of service then drain it. It was full with a funky looking film floating on top of the water. Not safe with kids around. Also the WIFI was just ok, Upgrading the WIFI is a must with the amount of people that stay there. Also some better signage to find the place would help. I would definitely come hack again as we have family in Nampa. Overall, very clean, well maintained and good staff. Hope this helps. read more

My daughter made reservations there as follows: motorhome for three nights; trailer a joining for two nights and one tent for two nights. The confirmation email gave the motor home two nights with no mention of the other needs. A phone call told us that the park had no other vacancies on the days needed. After explaining that there were vacancies when the original reservations were made, we were given complete reservations except for not being adjacent sitesm. The park it self was like a sardine can, but was clean and the outside staff both friendly and helpful. My next stay in Boise will be elsewhere. read more

I'm giving this KOA one star only because 0 is not an option. This KOA by far is one of the worst I've ever stayed in. The jacuzzi is still broken and the water in the pool is cloudy. Gross. My husband made a reservation for a pull through 7 months prior to our arrival date and we we checked in, they gave us a small pull through that we can barely fit our 27 foot trailer and truck. And if that's not bad enough the site is next to a trash dumpster. We smelled trash the whole time, on top of having people constantly going to drop trash off. When we complained to management and KOA corporate, no one cared. That's the KOA attitude. Beware about wasting your money on a KOA membership. read more

We arrived on Friday, Fathers Day Weekend and were told they were full. But as we were about to pull out, wonderful Shirley was able to work her magic and get us a spot for the night. Ron also was also so willing to help us out and was even ready to make phone calls to find us someplace to stay. As it was we were able to not just spend one night but 2. Thanks to Shirley, Ron and Amy for being so helpful. The streets and pads are paved so it's easy walking your dog. And lots of stores in the area if you need supplies. Also go to World Center for Birds of Prey....a must see. My only concern not complaint is no one drives the 5 MPH speed limit making it a little dangerous for children and bikers and walking your dogs. read more
