Most of the doctors at Graybill are good, but we had a bad experience with Dr. Karen Muchowski. My husband and I have had a lot of experience with his asthma and bronchitis. She disregarded our input and told him he did not need any more Progesterone (a steroid) and did not need an antibiotic. She said that, as a matter of fact, he did not even have bronchitis. Just a cold with asthma. She told him not to go to urgent care because they wouldn't do any more for him than she did. Two days later, he went to urgent care and had a chest x-ray which showed pneumonia. He received antibiotics, more steroids, cough suppressant pills and a stronger cough medicine for nighttime than she gave him. :( Boo hiss to doctors who try to avoid antibiotics. After putting off my physical exam for years, I finally made time to make an appointment. I picked Dr. Karen Muchowski as my primary doctor since the doctor I had in mind was booked months out. To my surprise she seemed to careless about any of my health concerns which I had written down on the paperwork they provide at the first visit. She totally ignored my health worries and failed to run any lab work because in her words I "look healthy"!! She assumed I was healthy without running any test or taking the time to ask me about my health or go over my paperwork. I was disappointed in her lack of care and hurry to get me out of there. She seems to be over her job as doctor and could careless to be there. I changed primary doctors as soon as I could and am now happy at Scripps. read more

Dr. Muchowski has been very helpful for me. She really takes her time during my appointments unlike any previous doctor where I have felt rushed and judged. Her suggestions, including lifestyle changes were very helpful. My experience was so positive I switched my young children to her care. Front office was acceptable, not friendly but not rude and did their job well. Nurses about the same, except for a male nurse who is above average and wonderful with my boys. I've been going to Graybill since 2015 and what started out as a great medical office has been steadily going downhill. I'm not sure what the problem is, maybe HR or management? They don't seem to be able to retain qualified professionals anymore. What happened to Diana H. (MA)? She was a fantastic nurse. Or Elisha J. (LVN)? I can't tell you how frustrated I am at not seeing her back in Internal Medicine during my past few visits, as after Diana left around the end of 2015 Elisha was the only one who seemed to be able to send in a prescription or a referral correctly! Other good nurses whose names I don't remember have also come and gone--every time I meet a new nurse who has a pleasant bedside manner, seems to care, and knows what she's doing, she doesn't last long at the Temecula Graybill office. It seems like they have a real problem keeping good nurses. That can't be a good indicator about the health of this organization or the way it treats its medical professionals. On the provider side, Janine T. (NP) left--she was great even though I only saw her a couple of times. Better than some of the MDs there. Dr. Lizotte is my primary care physician and has been consistently excellent over the past 2.5 years. I wonder if they'll be able to keep him. I'll take my business elsewhere if he leaves. I'm still upset about Janine, Elisha, and Diana! Another thing: Graybill seems to be unwilling to turn away new patients when they're clearly over capacity with their existing patient load. Wait times are atrocious and appointments are currently scheduled in 15 minute blocks, which didn't used to be the case. Additionally, why don't the physicians at Temecula Graybill have "scribes" like Graybill's ENT specialty clinic in Escondido? (Clerical worker video conferenced in via a tablet on wheels who types up the chart notes for the visit WHILE the visit is taking place). At Temecula, they're having doctors do clerical work, taking time away from their patients. They definitely need scribes for their primary care physicians. It would save a lot of time and allow them to treat patients rather than deal with paperwork. It would also allow patients to get their chart notes a lot faster--for those of us in the military, that's a big deal. Again, now that Janine, Diana, and (apparently) Elisha are gone, the only reason I still go to Graybill is for Dr. Lizotte. If he leaves, I'm gone too. That said, I want to be clear that the four medical professionals I named are all 5 stars--it's the wait times, nursing staff changeovers, and my concern about Graybill's inability to retain quality staff that have me concerned--I'd give Graybill 1 star for admin and administration, while the providers and nurses I named each deserve 5 stars. I loved Dr. Lundquist and also Dr. Nordstrom. They have both left for greener pastures I would assume. This office is not what it used to be, seems to be a huge conglomerate that shuffles you in and out. Trying to even get a prescription refilled at the pharmacy is a hassle. Pharmacy sends them 4 messages I need it refilled and seems like I have to go to office to get that done. We have seen too many doctors just come and go at this practice since 2006. read more

I took my daughter to see Dr. Olah for a physical and really liked her until I found out that she billed for TWO appointments. She billed for the physical and then also for an additional appointment because she ordered a prescription and blood work for something that wasn't considered preventative. SOOOO greedy!!!! "Dr." Karen Muchowski is Dr. Death. She is constantly trying to talk my senior relative into just giving up. This last visit was the last straw. She said in a mocking sarcastic way about her other doctors at the hospital that "some Doctors try and solve problems and say to do this or do that, when really, you may just want to let it go." My relative hasn't brought up end of life care, none of her other doctors say she is near death, in fact it's been the opposite. I decide then to go to Dr. Lizotte. He is amazing and he really takes the time to understand your problem and takes the time to explain the outcome of the situation. He is very passionate about hs profession and also very knowledgeable. After my check up i ask him a question about my sister medical condition ,she doesn't even live in this country, He helped me to understand her situation and he took the time to draw a picture to make me understand better her problem . I have been with Greybill Medical Group in Temecula for a year now and have had three very annoying appointments. My first appointment was at 3:00pm and I was not seen until 4:00pm. What's the point of making an appointment if you are just going to see me whenever you feel like it. When I finally got to meet my doctor, she was very cold and never smiled. I thought maybe she was having a bad day so I let it slide. The doctor and I had a very short checkup and she did not say much. Within the next couple of weeks I was billed incorrectly and mailed three different bills for the appointment I had already paid for. When I called Billing, I was told that they must have made a mistake and that I had already paid. I felt like they were new at their jobs and they were very scatter brained. My second appointment I was put in the patient room to wait for the doctor. The walls were so thin that I could hear the conversations outside. The nurses and doctors were talking loudly about patiences inappropriately and the nurses talked about the drunken weekend they had the other day. My third appointment and my final appointment with this place was like the other two. I waited about an hour after my appointment time. A couple of weeks later I received billing from them that was incorrect again. I have called the Billing people and they were very mean and did not want to help clear up the billing problem. They said they would call me back about the problem and I did not hear from them for another week. My experience with Greybill has been very disappointing. This review is for the Graybill Medical Group staff, not the doctors as I've seen both Dr. Oliver and the nurse practitioner (Janine something, I forget her name) and they were both great. On the other hand, I have literally been waiting a month now for results on a simple swab culture. After the original sample I gave, for two weeks the assistants told me they were waiting on my results from the lab only to then tell me the lab never had the culture. I had to come down another time and give another culture which was now 10 days ago, and I'm still awaiting the results. I've called several times to get in touch with someone and left messages in which no one returns my call or even bothers to tell me that the person I need to speak with is out of the office. Seriously, with this poor communication and healthcare service, this is how people can die. read more

Worst doctors office ever. I've been going here for years and it's slowly gotten worse and worse. Finally had enough and I don't plan on going back. The doctors are nice, as long as you can wait the month out it takes to finally be seen. Nurses don't offer any help when finally returning your calls or providing test results. The front office people are nice and polite. The turnaround time for paperwork is a joke. The people at the central answering service for Graybill are rude and unhelpful. Since it's also a central answering service your stuck on hold while they playing middle man calling back to the office. Most recent interaction took a week and a half to return a call about a prescription. There are plenty of other doctors in Temecula, go somewhere else. read more

Please heed my warning and avoid Graybill Medical Group. They have an inexperienced and inept accounting staff that has issues with properly billing insurance claims. Be prepared to spend your time calling your insurance company to resolve their mistakes. The icing on the cake is the bad attitude that the accounting staff maintains. read more

Made appointment here to see a doctor upon arrival the office was some what hard to find and front desk staff was unprofessional

Nurse practitioner Eve Currie. Do not see her!!! I was misdiagnosed and prescribed an inhaler for a sinus infection!! Seriously lady get it together! I'm not even in the medical field and knew my sickness had nothing to do with my lungs or breathing. Did you not confer with the nurse- the one who took my blood pressure and checked my symptoms?? She stated that it did not sound like it was a respiratory problem while checking me in. Yeah - the pain was in my face and head. How do you prescribe me an inhaler?? A $60 one at that??!! To top off this weird and unsatisfying visit, she told me she didn't have any time and couldn't answer a question I had on a different issue because it was not the main reason for my visit and that I would have to make a different appointment??? What the heck?!!! My visit with her took less than three minutes and she had no time to answer a question on something else??? What the??!!! It should have rang a bell when most of the doctors leaving this office. On their door, they only have two REAL doctors and rest are either PA or NP's. The only real reason to stay with this medical group is for Dr. Boyatt. It's sad too because the front office and the nurses that check you in have all been great. Beware if Eve Currie. I went for a second visit and Dr. Lizotte was still great. I took away one star because for a 9:15 am appointment, we arrived at 9:00 am and waited until 10:00 am to be seen. We were taken to the patient room at 9:25 am and we could hear everything the other guy was talking about with Dr. Lizotte. The walls are not sound proof at all. We just needed to get a referral so the visit took about a minute. The wait was so long but I understand there's no way around it. Dr. Lizotte was being a good doctor by answering the previous patient's many questions and the appointment scheduler would have had no idea the guy would be asking so many. Just an update on my experience with Graybill Medical. While they have stated they have every intention of correcting the issue I have zero proof of any corrective action. They billed me for a medical procedure that was done blatantly wrong and, in my opinion, feasably malpractice. They refuse to even consider that they should in some way compensate us or at least not bill us for a procedure that did nothing but leave more of a scar than necessary on a six year old's head. The more I think about this, and the more I talk to other people, I realize that this was just an atrocious experience and blatantly irresponsible of them to hire a person who would do a medical procedure so badly and then to not take any responsibility for it is the worst insult of all. I am under the care of Dr. Lizotte, who is a fantastic, a very intelligent, and caring individual. Unfortunately, I have been ill and left Kaiser due to their horrible care. From the start Dr. Lizotte has taken the time to educate me on getting better and has also helped find a proper specialist to handle my complex medical case. Just like any medical provider we only see their true compassion when we need them for our medical treatment. Every time I see Dr. Lizotte he follows through with what he said he was going to do. Having been well versed in how the Health Insurance business works, it is nice to have a doctor who has compassion for his patients and does what needs to be done to get the patient well. Dr. Lizotte, and the Graybill Medical staff at his office have done a great job in caring for me during my difficult time and he understands that having a healthy patient is good not only for the patient, but the insurance company too. Based on the treatment I have received thus far, I highly recommend Dr. Lizotte as a primary care doctor. If you are looking for a doctor who will listen, evaluate, research, diagnose, and treat, Dr. Lizotte is definitely a doctor I recommend. I have been seeing Dr Lizotte for a few different issues, and the outcome is always the same. He will do whatever it takes, to get an answer for your medical condition. Not only is he an exceptional Doctor, he actually cares. What a concept. In the Medical world we live in today, he is a rare find. My wife is a medical consultant, who has access to doctors all over the country. Dr Lizotte is her choice. I see people making comments here on Yelp, about not getting answers about Meds, billing, and so on. The same thing has happened to me. You just need to be proactive. This is an extremely busy practice, and some things can fall through the cracks. Pick up the phone, show up in person, be proactive. You will get an answer. Though my husband didn't care for his doctor (I want this to be completely transparent), I absolutely love Dr. Boyatt and the NP Janine Thorson. They were very compassionate as they helped me through several miscarriages and a barrage of health issues. All I can say is that beyond the word grateful for Dr Lizotti isn't enough. Been a patient with Graybill since 2013 Dr Lizotti took over my care a few years ago. My 1st appointment was eye opening. After complaining for months of not feeling well to another dr. it took 1 appointment with Dr Lizotti and some blood work and the issue identify and dealt with. I have long chronic issues and Dr. Lizotti takes each issue and helps me not only to be physically better but makes me feel human with real problems that comes with an emotional side. I really wish didn't have to visit him when I feel crappy cause he should see me when he has made me feel better. Knowing I have a doc whom deals with all my crap makes being me at my worst a better me after Dr Lizotti has fixed me up again gives me some piece of mind. He has my back. Nicki is beyond the most compassionate nurse, she totally gets me. That makes it easier knowing I am always meant with understanding and kindness by her. Well I am not too sure what all these other reviews are about, but my experience at Graybill was nice, especially because of Dr. Kelly Boyatt. I have been looking for someone I can call my official doctor for a while now, and I know that I have found her! She was nothing but kind and warm, yet she was firm with some of the thoughts about what was going on with me and things she recommended. I feel confident in her knowledge as well as trust her completely with the decisions that we made together. The one thing that really bugs me though is that the phone number they have only directs to a main line for all the locations, and then they will transfer you. So annoying to wait around on the phone, but the experience with Dr. Boyatt will make up for that. read more

I almost never write reviews but I have to share this with people. I was a brand new patient and I was getting a new job which required a very extensive physical. I thought it would be perfect to do that as a new patient and get to know my doctor. What a great start, right? I filled out 20 pages of medical health history and emailed it to Dr. Oliver in advance, along with the list of the many tests that they needed to perform for my new job, so that we would be prepared to take care of it at one time. On the day of my appointment, Dr. Oliver had no clue what I was requesting. He had not read anything that I had sent to him and he was completely unprepared to do any of the tests. Worse, he had very little time, did not seem to listen very well to me and dismissed most of what my previous doctor and I had worked on while accepting little input from me. I take my health seriously and he dismissed my ideas and opinions quickly. It took almost three months to finally get Graybill to properly complete the tests, which delayed my hiring. FYI, the nurses and PAs were very helpful but seemed to have to decide to do my tests on their own. The front office staff seemed to be trying, but were stressed for whatever reason. In those three months I witnessed several ugly confrontations between staff and patients - never a good sign. I decided that perhaps Dr. Oliver and I just did not hit it off, so I chose a new Primary Care Physician. I won't say who because I have never seen them - I don't go that often;) I received the new cards with the new doctor's name. Last week, I called to make an appointment and I was told that my new doctor is not accepting new patients. I was surprised and told them how long ago I had made the change. They said that there was nothing that I could do - until I asked whom I could file a complaint with. Then I was told that the new doctor could see me - in February. It appears to me that Graybill is poorly run and way over booked with patients. And good luck finding someone to complain to that is high enough to make any changes. Graybill, please do not respond to me and say that you are sorry for the negative experience and that you will pass my concerns along to the management. Please just do it and try to make the proper changes needed to put patients first. we would like to parse Dr Kelly Boyatt and her assistant Mel for care we receive from both of them we are amazed at the concern they show for both of us the call backs and checking on us is unheard now days we have been with Dr Boyatt for 7 years and praise her to every one we talk to and not one person said they have a doctor with that kind of care. I know doctors have heavy load but Dr Boyatt is the only one out of all doctors we see for other things that it is not just a job we always know she cares about our well being. Dr. Muchowski is TERRIBLE! I set up my first appointment with her and the day before she had to cancel because she extended her vacation. That costed me a days wage. I went in to get prescribed Wellbutrin (bupropion) to help quit smoking and the first visit I was told I would have to see a therapist and she would prescribe it on the next visit. Ummm....... ! I scheduled another visit with her a month later and the day before the visit she cancelled, costing me a days wages AGAIN! Then I rescheduled and AGAIN, the day before, I was cancelled on. When I was finally seen by her the 5th time I scheduled an appointment she wrote me a prescription for Zyban (bupropion) and told me that the insurance would not cover it ($89) because it was to quit smoking. I did the research myself, called Graybill and talked to her nurse and had to explain that they are the same EXACT drug, just marketed different. The insurance will cover Wellbutrin ($20) if the prescription is changed. Finally, she changed it and said to follow up with her in a month. I scheduled the follow up appointment and was cancelled on ANOTHER 2 TIMES! At this point I've lost a whole weeks wages because of her rescheduling. When she was finally able to make an appointment the office wanted to charge me "$100 to start and it may be more after we talk to the doctor". They cost me $1200 so far, so I explained that to the staff and they didn't care, even after looking at the calendar seeing the reschedules by the doctor. All in all, she has no problem cancelling on you, she doesn't know the difference between what drugs she is prescribing, and she doesn't care about your health. Graybill has no problem collecting from you for such terrible service either. Do yourself and your family a favor, find another medical group! There IS a reason that most of their doctors are excepting new patients and don't have reviews posted on their own website. read more

I have been looking for a new primary care doctor for a while since moving to the area and had high hopes for doctor muchowski. I have been pretty disappointed. During our initial appointment I brought up about 3-4 different concerns w her. She addressed a couple, ordered labs and a new iud. And said we'd talk more about the others (one being a recurrent debilitating and unexplained pain I get, about twice per year). She made two additional appointments, one for Iud, then one to talk about labs. She said we Couldn't do two in one day. Then when I came Back to Talk about the labs she thought we were following up about the iud and forgot about labs... pulled them up and just said yeah all normal ok. Didn't talk about the pain and then made another appointment to follow up On another issue. So I give you all of these details just to show why I feel like I am Just a paycheck to them and they are not concerned about my actual well being. EVERY time, before I can walk in their back office I am Billed $100 until my deductible is exhausted. They act like that is how they have to do it but really they have just found a loop hole to bill my insurance the max and take advantage of My deductible. And if That wasn't greedy enough, then they find a way to break everything up into the most amount of Appointments possible! So disappointed, feels like a scam. Also the doctor felt rushed and not engaged. I felt like I could have said anything and she would have nodded and said yeah that's normal. Not inquisitive or compassionate. But not rude either. I love this office in Temecula. My husband and I have been going here for over 3 years. We see Dr. Nordstrom and he has always helped us , we won't see anyone else unless necessary. The staff is great and have had no problems with billing or scheduling appointments. I can usually get seen the same day or next day. I see some reviews of other Dr's in this office that people don't like. Y'all should try Dr. Nordstrom. He really cares about his patients and wants to help them. Example: Over 2 years ago I was really sick and dehydrated and they were able to give me IV fluid in the office. I was so thankful that I didn't have to go to the hospital. I am giving a 5 star rating to Dr. Lizotte, and if it were possible to give him additional stars, I would do it. I am 51 years old and have seen several doctors over the years for myself, wife and 6 children including general practitioners, orthopedic surgeons, GI doctors, pediatricians ect. I have known Dr. Lizotte for a year now and he is the most thorough, compassionate, caring and competent doctor I have ever met. For example, one year ago I was finally referred to Dr. Lizotte by Graybill Medical group. I was very ill when we first met. Dr. Lizotte quickly and accurately determined my diagnosis and in a caring and compassionate way, discussed options and immediately put me on a treatment plan and sent me to the exact specialist who offered the specific clinical trial I needed just in time. Dr. Lizotte literally saved my life! Due to his amazing care, my mother calls Dr. Lizotte an "Angel" and I could not agree with her more! Given the climate of "issues" that currently clouds the medical profession today, it gives hope to us (the consumer) to know that there is still a practicing "angel" out there to provide superb, top notch care...Dr. Lizotte. I trust him implicitly! When extended family members, friends, neighbors and business associates ask me for a recommendation on a doctor to treat themselves and their family (and they do) I recommend Dr. Lizotte. read more
