Honestly, this place isn't great. When you call, hold times are FOREVER, staff is very rude and acts like you're a burden because you called... However - David Coffman (my NP) is wonderful. I give HIM 5 stars. He has worked with me for years. Always calls me back in a super timely manner if I have questions (even ridiculous ones) about my meds. He has listened to me rant in our sessions (not supposed to rant in a psychiatry appt. that's what therapy is for) and seems to really care about his patients. Over the years, my mental health has changed and my needs have changed and he has always worked with me to find the perfect concoction. Thank you David! If you ever leave, I'm following. read more

I scheduled an appointment and was given the address for the Lakeshore location.I arrived and then was told that they made the appointment for the Riverchase location. I asked them if they could call them and let them that I was on my way and they did. I arrived and was told that they did call from the other location and that I would still be seen. I sat there for five minutes,was called to the window and told that the doctor was going go reschedule me!!!! At first, my psychiatrist/nurse practitioner was really kind, caring, and considerate. Within months, he started calling me to the back 30 minutes after my appointment was scheduled. He gave me a prescription for a med and it worked good and then the next refill, my current pharmacy changed manufactures and the it made me feel very sick. I called and left a message to let him know and he suggested that we send it to a different pharmacy which worked out the first time. Last month, he sent the med to the wrong pharmacy and I have been trying to contact him since. No response, the pharmacy reached out to him several times and he won't answer. They lost my records like a month after a left. Impossible to reach anyone. Theyre very mean and wont answer any phone calls, emails, or messages. They dont give quality care because they just dont listen to their patients. My doctor tried to talk to someone higher up to get me a subsidized rate for community therapy and the guy said that I "would be greatful unless I paid for it." He also said that I wasnt having hallucinations. I was diagnosed with a psychotic disorder and hospitalized not long after. read more

I have been a client of Grayson and Associates since 2009. When I went there, the staff and doctors were caring and kind. Now, I could no longer recommend them to anyone who has a mental health issue. Some of the doctors there still care, but I would challenge anyone to survive the receptionists. To say they are hateful and degrading to their clients is an understatement. We who are mentally challenged should not be demeaned or ridiculed. I have personally experienced this and contacted the office manager to report what was said directly. He couldn't care less. I even asked him if that was true, and he didn't deny it but stated that "I'm sure you misunderstood and everyone was trying their best." read more

They're terrible! They do not answer the phone on Fridays, do not read emails when you're trying to cancel reschedule an appointment.But quick to schedule an appointment when you inquire online! Sent a letter with copies of the email I sent on time to cancel appointment. No response, no call, nothing. But charged me. The front desk not friendly. Needed care for life-long depression, and made an appointment with the head of the practice for a recommendation for a psychiatrist. Met with the psychiatrist, who also is the leader of Grayson. I spent all of three minutes with the dr. before he dismissed me as all but a waste of his time. He said I did not need a psychiatrist, but a "matronly" psychologist. O.K. I met with the psychologist for at least 6 sessions. Her biggest input: I needed to do some breathing exercises. Office personnel are not friendly or helpful. They were rude and not professional for a doctor's office; or any business office. I cannot recommend Grayson to anyone needing mental help. read more

Horrible experience all the way around. They expect you to jump through hoops and bend over and take it (|) while they screw around and don't do their jobs. They charge you an arm and a leg and give you the run-around for every single little thing you need. They do not care for patients, they care for the $$$$$ from the insurance companies. I lost my job during Covid causing me to lose my insurance. I saw you on a regular basis for 4 years. what happened you just woke up one day and decided to screw your patients over! I needed your help. I ran out of my meds because I lost my insurance and couldn't afford a $400 office visit. I had never asked for you any special favors before. You put me in a powerful medication for Narcolepsy and when I ran out of meds I started having horrible withdrawal symptoms! I was only asking for a two weeks worth of meds until my new insurance went into effect. You said no so I started crying. The horrible receptionist you had told you I was being disruptive but all I was doing was crying because I didn't know what to do. So instead of helping me you refused to see me anymore?? what kind of doctor abandons their patient because I was also seeing you for aniexty and depression! I stole ten tablets from where I worked. I now have a felony. Never been in trouble before in my life! Now I can't find a decent job, hardly no food in my kitchen and the worst part is my family has deserted me. This is a legal drug house. There is no patient care. It's walk in for 5 min and tell me what drugs you want and walk out. Very shady. They go so fast he even has a lady sitting in the corner writing the prescription and paperwork so they can go on to the next one. This has to be illegal. If I could give no stars, I would. I was on short-term disability. I asked for a copy of the treatment notes to be sent to the insurance company. I had filled out the proper forms. I was told that they had 30 days to send the forms. I had to get forms from IOP instead, because (desite calling multiple times) Dr Moise never sent correct forms and treatment notes. I finally asked for treatment notes be sent to me. After calling multiple times I went to the office and picked up my treatment notes myself. Iread through them and there was incorrect information from the time that I started going to Grayson and Associates in Dec 23 until the time that I picked up the paperwork. Almost every visit had something incorrect in the treatment notes. I had to wonder if Dr Moise was even listening while I was in her office. My last visit was just spent correcting her notes (I paid for that!!!). The visit prior, I spent 1 hour in her office. I was crying the whole time. Her notes make it sound like I am all better and treatment is working. I obviously was NOT all better! I called a crisis line 2 days after getting Dr Moise treatment notes. I was kicked off short-term disability because of the information that was sent in (finally) by Grayson and Associates. Because Dr Moise made it sound like I was better. I tried to speak to a manager. He was less than helpful and sounded very disinterested in what I had to say. Dr Moise rarely returned my messages on the portal or called into the receptionist. The receptionist is hard to get to through the phone tree, and very unhelpful. I HIGHLY recommend that you do notvuse this group!!! Horrible people! I have to mention, I noticed so many bad reviews for Grayson and Associates are in a hidded "not helpful" area because no stars were given. Make sure to read them. There are many!!! read more

Indifferent. Inept. Useless. Had my first appointment and then tried to contact via phone. I got no response for 10 days (a long time when you're not getting a paycheck until you're approved for short term disability). After asking to talk to a manager or someone higher up, I instead got referred to HR for some reason. Got a call the next day and was told I could use their portal (why not give this info up front?), on which the psychiatrist was finally responsive. None of this mattered though, because nothing that was faxed to them could ever be tracked down. The guy from HR was indifferent, uninformative, and sounded like he was drugged with sleeping pills. A 'Bored disdain' for his job if I had to narrow it down to two words. Took me five minutes to drag the process out of him on how they received faxes (turns into emails that go to a single email that is then redistributed to other emails). Even after nailing down the process, he refused to track down and put hands on anything. Absolutely useless. The psychiatrist, Despina Moise, let me know on day one that she offered no treatment plan, only handed out medicine. She did say she could fill out paperwork for me. After almost two months without a paycheck, they finally received a fax and she said she would fax my company a note. Then a week later, said she couldn't after all. Between the ineptitude when it comes to communication and the false promises, they cost me thousands of dollars in pay. I could have easily gotten to the end result at least a month prior. The only positive thing about this company are the receptionists. Whether in person or on the phone, they were kind and helpful. The receptionists should be the ones running this place, not the other idiots. Also, during the last conversation I had, they informed me that they had finally gotten a new fax machine a week ago but had yet to install it. If you decide to use them for anything, the first thing I would do is fax them something to see if they got it, otherwise you could end up in my situation. read more

I had an emergency back procedure on Friday and called the office 2 days before to let them know that I would be out of my medication. They said she got all my messages. I rescheduled my appointment with her 6 days later. So I'm not skipping anything. I asked for enough to get me to my appointment with her. She let me suffer through the weekend through Monday today and still has not called in my medication. This is completely my fault for going back to her and I will definitely find someone new. She is the worst excuse for a healthcare provider I've ever seen. I think some of the cheap blonde dye she puts in her hair has actually seeped into her brain. I was shocked to see how many bad reviews Grayson and Associates has.. but then again not really. We don't really have an issue with our doctor (for the most part) but the call center is literally a joke! Our pharmacy requested a prior authorization for a prescription almost two weeks ago and it was ignored. So when I went to pick up said prescription I was confused as to why they were still waiting on a PA. I've called multiple times and all they "CAN DO" is send a message over to the doctor. I was also told that if they send more than one message it starts the 24-48 hour wait period over again- each time. Now, here it is a Friday- clearly leading into the weekend when office hours are closed and my fiance will have to be off of their medication for at least three or four more days. This review is re: the Riverchase location. I took my uncle for his first appointment on 9/1. I was unable to go in with him due to a broken ankle. After the appointment, my uncle was confused about medication changes and I began trying to reach Mr. Cooper, NP by phone immediately. The answering receptionist for all locations was nasty and rude. I've been leaving messages daily, and have spoken with the intake nurse and the on call physician and received no call back and NO HELP! My uncle has been in crisis, even having to go to the ER. I am a long time nurse and supervisor and there is no excuse for completely ignoring your patients and their caregivers in this way! I would advise anyone to go to a practice who actually cares enough to return a call!!! Zero stars. read more

NEVER SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION AT THIS PRACTICE!! Logan Mendheim is the nurse practitioner that I was assigned to. Struggled to get my medication refill called in which is a benzo. They called in the incorrect drug and was never corrected. I went into withdrawal. I was called a liar, my caring pharmacists were called liars. I had an EIGHT minute appointment with Dr. Schachter who verified my meds and said, "see you in a year". He promised to get my medication called in correctly. Grayson and Associates is by fat the WORST doctors office that I have ever been to. I have been suffering with anxiety and depression for 10+ plus years and have never received medical care this terrible. The nursing and front desk staff are horrible, rude, and make no attempt to assist with scheduling or billing -- you must call your doctor directly and leave a voicemail and no one ever returns calls. After getting a prescription for class C medication, my doctor set me up with an appointment 6 months out even though she only gave me 3 months worth of medication. She then neglected to refill my prescription or set me up with a new a appointment for over a month. Meaning a was off class C medicine with no medical guidance or assistance. It was only after I filed a complaint with the board of medicine that I got a call back. I tried getting a new psychologist and when they attempted to get my medical records they refused saying MY medical records were property of the hospital and they did not have any legal obligation to release my medical records to my new doctor or to myself. I have filed several complaint against them and hope they get shut down. read more

This place is awful. I've been going there two years now and not sure why it took me this long to switch psychiatrists. Your appointments will be about an hour and a half late every single time. If you're like me and have to schedule your work day around your appointments, this is extremely frustrating. Most of the time the front desk will not answer the phone and if they do, they are very rude. I personally feel like if you're going to a place for mental health reasons, the added stress of having to deal with Grayson & Associates is not worth it. The worst experience it began with the front office. Rude!!!!! Not one friendly person. Dr Andry is the worst psychiatrist you could come across. I felt worse coming out of her office than I did gong in. The world needs mental health sorry to say she is not the doctor to help people. She had no desire to help, specializes in addiction so the only thing she was eager to do is take me off my current medications judging by the medications I take. She gave me a choice after I have been on them all my life. I suffer from PTSD( Cancer) major DEPRESSION, ANXIETY and ADHD. When I said I would not chose one over the other she said well is there anything else I can do? I said no and walked out. Always!!!look at doctors rating before you go. Wow, I regret the moment my doctor referred me to this clinic. If I was any weaker I probably would had really had a nervous breakdown just from dealing with these people. The worse part is the receptionists from the call center customer service abilities and her lack of empathy with their patients. I called three times and asked to speak with the receptionist at Riverchase and nothing. It took me to say one curse word and immediately I received a call. They have added so much more stress and anxiety to me, I'm worse than the way I felt when I went the first time. The receptionist at the office scolded me for the curse word and she was right to do so but nothing was said or acknowledged about the receptionist behavior In the call center. Kathryn LeGrand was the only one that took time to listen to me and allowed me to talk. All others I saw only spoke to me about the different meds and were ready to send me off in 15 minutes.
