After starting the chat requesting to cancel appointment, after 15 mins the chat said 'No agents available' and just ended the chat without warning! I then had to call back and wait another 25 mins before reaching an agent to cancel my appointment. When I requested an email confirmation of the cancellation (because their website says $50 for no-show appointments that are not cancelled in advance) I was transferred for another 10 min wait to reach a voicemail! SO FRUSTRATING! I would highly NOT recommend this company if your new and looking for an optometrist!

Angeline, the contact consultant, is very knowledgeable and helpful. This office is comprised of pleasant professionals that clearly care about the work they do. I appreciate the way they work well together to keep the patients moving through. After my most recent visit, the lady in the optical area called me several times to check to see if I wanted her to order my contacts for delivery at my home. It's what I normally do and because I failed to check in with her prior to leaving, she made sure to reach me and I appreciated that.

The first was done in the old location, a plain, clean, older building in the middle of the hospital section of High Point by Dr Tepodino, and refreshed (for want of a better word) last year. No trouble ever. The procedure was seamless, the small staff kind and helpful. The cost was borne by insurance, with a $60 copay. The second operation was conducted by Dr Evans in the sleek, new facility near the old shopping center. The operation was attended by at least six auxiliary staff, each of them asking me the exact same questions. I declined the offer for assisted sleep, as I wanted to remain conscious for the operation. I was also given an option of a special lens to correct an astigmatism, at an (uninsured) cost of over $1,000, which I declined, as it could easily be corrected with glasses. The actual operation took about 20 minutes. I can see much more clearly with the new lens, although there is now a shadow on the left peripheral side of my vision which wasn't there before the operation. My copay was $340.00, and I found later the cost to the insurance company was nearly $14,000.00.

The ladies at the front desk had me checked in within record time. Because I had already completed my paperwork, things went smoothly. I was then ushered to a large, lovely seating area, where many other patients were waiting. The office is massive, containing several doctors, as well as a vision center to pick out eyewear and procedure rooms. My technician and doctor were absolutely wonderful. Initially, the tech took a thorough history and did some tests. She was very pleasant, moved with intention, but not rushed. She was communicative, but not chatty (IYKYK), and had me very impressed. I was well-handled and wondered what was left for anyone else to do. Lol When the doctor arrived, he was even more thorough than the technician. He double-checked her work, then began a discussion with me about my eyes and their health. He did some more evaluation and put me at ease. I remember thinking, "This place is amazing!" At the end, he gave me advice and then said, "That's it," with the most amazingly warm smile I had seen in a while. It was genuine and read like he really enjoyed his job. I mean, WOW. That did it for me, folks. I had already been impressed by the place, but the smile sold me on GO. I am a patient for life! Greensboro Ophthalmology is officially Kiesha Speech approved. Hindsight I should have parted company many YEARS ago. And the rude disrespectful receptionist who hides behind her computer, and never smiles is not a good way to be greeted. In my opinion she must be a miserable woman to treat others in this manner. Two stars is generous
