My son likes a specific type of look and frame and Oscar Oglethorpe is always able to accommodate. I remember the days when all frames were $150 (that's how long we've been customers). Just like everything else, there has been an increase in prices, but the customer service, quality, and materials have never been lacking (at least not for us). Unfortunately, for my next appointment, they assigned me a different doctor and sent text of my preview payment, which was much more than I had paid in the past. In addition, the reviews I did on the doctor they assigned were not favorable. I don't think it is fair to assign a random doctor to an established patient.

I was very pleased to find a petite eyeglass section and quickly fell in love with a gold pair of frames that I thought looked great on me! I was super excited until I sat down to order the glasses and the woman assisting me said "Are you sure you like THESE frames"? Instantly,I began second guessing the beautiful frames I had picked out. The entire time I was ordering my glasses she and another woman made snide remarks about how the frames did not look like they suited me. I left feeling like I bought the ugliest glasses in the world even though I really liked them. I eventually brushed their comments off and have had these glasses for a year and have received numerous compliments on them. I cannot imagine working a customer service job and being DEGRADING to your customer and for that I will never recommend getting glasses at this eye center.

The exam was fine and the selection of frames was good, but the "We're open til 5 but you can't…read morepick up glasses after 4:30" thing suggests that they either don't know or don't care that a lot of people in Mooresville commute home from uptown Charlotte, and 4:30 is not realistic most days. If I'm going to spend a grand on glasses, I'm going to spend it somewhere a little more customer focused going forward.

His office was great at squeezing me in under short notice today, before I was going to be out for surgery. He has the best Doctor ~to~Patient skills! So personable and friendly, Smart too!! Our family has been coming to him for years. He is also wonderful about putting my sons contacts in for him , when I've needed him to...haha...due to me being out of town...He's probably literally laughs about that one , when he gets the call every so often. (My son is 18) haha.....But I do appreciate it! My one complaint would have to be the wait at the office. Of course, the quality of care you receive is excellent, so no wonder everyone wants to come here. Dr John as well as Dr Hawkins is very knowledgeable and caring in their treatment. They take time to explain what treatment I am recieving and why it is needed. I still have a way to go but I feel like I am I competent hands and I highly recommend both Doctors
