The sauce was watery, which means the sauce is too thin or there is excess moisture. The sad part is that when I asked for Parmigiano-Reggiano, it was waxy tasting, making me think it was not fresh and the real thing. The restaurant was packed and it was very loud. We couldn't talk across the table easily. Let me preface this by saying that my wife and I worked in the service industry for over 10 years. I'm currently a chef and our experience wasn't the best and it's pretty disappointing as we love Grazie. We came yesterday for Mother's Day May 10th 2026. The drinks and appetizers were delicious but after that everything went down. We waited about 20 minutes before the server came to check on us and order food. Our reservation was at 4:45pm. We saw a couple tables sit after us and being treated better and faster. We order the food and we waiting 51 minutes for the food. I asked politely to the server what's happening with our food and the server before checking with the kitchen excuse the kitchen and said to me we are busy. (I ran many 400+ guest service and never made a table wait longer than 25 minutes) when we finally got the food, My brother's and dad's food wasn't the same even thought they order the same food. The piece of veal were completely different cuts and seasoned differently. My mom's veal parmigiana was too dark which means they were using old oil which led to my mom feeling sick, my wife food was good but you can't really messed up ravioli. And my food which is the one on the picture, was cold. I stop eating and let everyone else enjoy their food. The manager or owner I don't know who he is came over and ask if everything was good I said: their dishes are not mine, it's cold. He grabbed the plate and said: that's weird. The plate is warm. You want something else or you want me to pack it to go? I said no thank you he took the plate. Didn't say anything. If you leave a plate on the hot pass for long enough the plate will get hot on the bottom but not the pasta itself. I understand bad services happen but how you respond to your guests it's what matters. I felt insulted and if I didn't know better I would accepted but like I said I know how to run a kitchen and a restaurant and this wasn't it. They charge me for the pasta. Ended up paying $350. And had to go home to make food. It's sad that a place like this only care about certain people and not everyone. And the worst part is that we went out to celebrate my mom and the whole experience was just ruined. Being human and acknowledging a mistake makes you better. But if the people running the restaurant don't care about being accountable or people that don't look like their regulars, it will never be a pleasant experience. Sadly, I know this are just words and the management team will never care and most likely acknowledge this but they should. Be more human. Care for each guest or not work in a restaurant. read more

Raisins in everything that shouldn't have raisins. All this to say the food is underwhelming and average. Believe the low reviews as they are realistic. The buratta salad which was supposed to be a show stopper fit for 2 was neither a show stopper nor fit for 2 as I had that to myself for an eye watering $35. An italian staple to the neighbourhood and honestly worth to venture out to either this location or the Vaughan one. Great prices and portion size. Fantastic fresh pasta too. I love that they divide their menu into the types of sauces for the pasta and each section (whether it's tomato sauce, cream sauce, EVO& garlic or cream tomato) has something different going on. The pasta flavours are wonderful and it's definitely not your run of the mill spaghetti and meatballs here. Pizzas are also great. Quick service and you really do feel the italian family spirit here. There was two of us in my party and we ordered the Kale and Beet salad, mussels in tomato sauce and the Napoletana (linguine with shrimps and clams). Everything was very average and not very flavourful. The kale in salad was too tough and the dressing a bit too tangy for my liking; the mussels were a bit plain, kind of spicy but not very tomatoe-y; but the pasta was probably my favourite of the night. Nice amount of shrimps and clams, tossed nicely in the tomato sauce. Considering that many people do enjoy the food here, perhaps it just wasn't to my preference for Italian food! Pros: Friendly servers....kudos to David who was very charming and also a proud daddy. Authentic Italian recipes, the pasta and desserts are superb every time I eat here. I prefer their Pasta over their Pizza. Comfy seating, and nice ambiance. They have a licensed bar for those who drink. Small side-walk Patio if u don't mind the traffic on Yonge street. Did I mention how awesome the food is... be sure to try their light and fluffy take on Tiramisu. Great spot for a romantic dinner or just chilling with a group of friends. There was just enough distance between us & another table where a couple was eating their meal. The waitstaff are just so nice & professional here. I recognized some of the waitstaff from years back. It's good to see familiar faces. What can I say? I love this restaurant. The food comes out like clockwork & all of it was so good. However, as we recently came for lunch and noticed the staff (owner) was purposely seating all the brown and yellow skin customers in one area with little to no space between the table. The staff also treated us differently, much slower service and waiter seems to either be distracted or wasn't listening. Food quality has degraded. We had stomach ache after eating the pasta.
