We were initially greeted by two people a younger lady and a man (the man was lovely but the lady gave the cold shoulder). When our table was ready the lady literally said "you two come"... I also saw her bring another asain couple to their table and she stood at the hallway and pointed them to their table from meters away. I finally got to try the coveted Grazie Ristorante last night! They don't take reservations on weekends and we're usually too hungry to wait since they're always so busy! Lol We arrived just after 6pm yesterday and it was perfect - busy enough but still lots of empty tables, so we sat right away. I had the minestrone soup to start, as it was one of the specials of the night. I really enjoyed it. It was a lovely opener for a cold night. For the main I ordered the Milano pasta which was linguini with a creamy sauce, grilled chicken, snow peas and sun-dried tomatoes. So good! It was a decent portion - got to take some home and I love that it wasn't super heavy for a creamy pasta. The chicken was very simple but complimented the dish nicely. To finish, we had the flourless chocolate torte. It is definitely a shareable dessert as it is quite decadent but very tasty. I also want to add that all staff were very friendly, courteous and efficient. Especially our server, Eric. 3.5 Came with the fam on a Monday night. We were given a private table in an enclosed area which was nice noise wise as it was fairly busy. The fam ordered steaks and pastas. Although they had gf pasta and pizza, there was no vegan protein or vegan cheese so I just had salad and a side of vegetables. The fam got good portions and enjoyed their food but my review is based on my offerings. When we arrived on time we had to wait another 20mins for a table due to them not reserving a table for us despite the reservation made for party of 9. One of the best authentic Italian resto in the GTA. Whenever we're in the Vaughan area, we have to dine at Grazie. There's nothing bad about this restaurant, food drinks and service are quality and top notch. They're also very accommodating to your request. You can mix and match any types of pasta with any kind of sauce. For example you can order the Napoletana in a white cream sauce. Our server was also nice to split one order of pasta so two people can share it. Gluten free pizza and Pasta!! The gluten free pizza was really good, usual gluten free pizza crust ( I was expecting home made or a better crust). The regular pizza was really soft and the margarita was just perfect! The stater was a calamari and shrimp (fried) special $33 good amount of calamari (only 5 shrimp) could have had a few more for the price. The Tiramisu was good but a little small (3 ice cream size scoops) it had a really good taste but a little too many lady fingers. I went there for Sunday lunch. It was a cozy place, without much decor. The tables were quiet close to each other. I think due to staff shortage, they didn't open the entire seating area. The waitress was nice and helpful. The service was great. The bread was chewy and amazing. Ok I could just eat bread for the next 15 minutes!! Calamari - the sauce needed to be more tangy or have a kick to it. Light breading. Pizza - love the dough/crust. It reminded me of their bread. I would order their pizza again!!! Pasta - the spaghetti didn't feel like spaghetti... the sauce was light and there were only few chicken pieces. Portion size was also small. Not worth the money. Overall, the food was good. This is our second time visiting grazie! The inside is very authentic and we love the atmosphere. We went on a Friday and it was not too busy, we got a spot near the window. Everything was delicious! The Bosco spinach pasta was a bit watery, they normally have more sauce. But the lasagna was very tasty. Free bread too! And tasty bread. I got a beer from tap which was only $8. Came here on a Wednesday night for a girls night and surprisingly it was SO busy. Service was great, the host who was at the front was super cheery and welcoming when walking us to our table. Our waiter was also great, super attentive and constantly refilling our glasses with water when it was done. We ordered the calamari and the bruschetta foccaica to start. Both were delicious and very good in size. The foccaica was a filled with lots of tomatos and basil and drizzle with the right amount of olive oil. The portion of the calamari was fair and the calamari was fried to perfection. Crunchy, salty and tasty! For our main, i got a spinach pasta with spicy sausage. It was good and tasty and no real complaints about it. They are also not stingy when it comes to adding paramesan to your dish! I had a nice meal at Grazie a few weeks back. The patio is spacious and had a nice vibe to it. They are taking all the right safety precautions for COVID19 including a sign in for health verification upon arrival. Masks are required if using the washroom. Was seated right away. Service was relatively prompt. They started you off with some nice bread, I believe made fresh there. Ordered a pizza and mushroom pasta this time around to split with a friend. Portion sizes are pretty big and perfect for sharing. The pizza was nice and cheesey - but the crust was a bit thick for my liking. Pasta was good and not overly saucy - had good flavours. I would say the pasta is my favourite here and they do a good job. Price point is not bad as well. DELICIOUS is an under statement! Ordered some delivery yesterday, and I was extremely satisfied with the whole experience. The packaging, the portions, and outstanding quality! Usually, with these delivery portal, you get the food semi-warm, and you will not get the quality, that's why I try to stay away from Italian cuisine since the pasta, sauces, cheese, etc..tend to get saggy. I'm partial to Motorino, Marcello's, and Desserts Plus when I'm in the mood for Italian food up while in Vaughan, but I finally decided to give a new place a try. Grazie is conveniently located in the Vaughan Mills plaza, perfect for a post-mall sit-down meal since the mall lacks a sit-down restaurants beyond the Pickel Barrel (an easy pass). My friend and I both had pastas, which are apparently made in-house (and it showed!) I had the Tasca, on the recommendation of fellow Yelp reviewers and my server, and it didn't disappoint! It could have used a tad more sauce to help cut the richness of the baked cheese, but it was delicious nonetheless. Plus, I'm a big bread guy and their complimentary bread (a mini Ace baguette) is served freshly baked and warm. Definitely adding this place to my regular rotation. read more

My rating is a 3.5/5 and will round down this time. PARKING: Located near Vaughan Mills in one of the plazas. There are some parking spots in front of the restaurant and a lot more within the plaza itself. VENUE: There was a line up coming in here so we thought we had to wait quite a long time. We were seated in less than 10mins! Very surprised as we came in on a Saturday for 7:30pm. I think that's still pretty much dinner considering the number of people waiting there. I went with one of my toddlers and my sis/brother in-law and their toddler & baby. It's a pretty decent sized place. Lots of seating areas. There was a hostess and a host at the front to take you to your seat. WASHROOMS: Pretty easy to locate, right beside the kitchen. At first I thought there were no changing tables, but they do inside the accessible washroom. They have a separate washroom for that and one for male & one for female. Definitely a family friendly restaurant. FOOD: We all ordered a pasta dish. The portions here are plentiful. Pasta prices start at around $18-20. The dishes were pretty tasty and the pasta wasn't too al dente. The problem for me was the Cefalu had chilli flakes in it and was a bit spicy. On the menu it doesn't say that so it overpowered the pesto of the dish. I don't like spicy food so that's a slight bust. SERVICE: There were a total of 6 people on our table: a couple with their toddler and baby, and my toddler and I. Our server was Frank the sticker man. He was very nice and gave excellent service. Even though the night was busy he took his time with our table and you can feel he loves his job. The negative things I found with his service was he ignored my daughter and I about 90% of the time. The excellent service I talked about above would be my in-law's experience with him. First: when he took our order, he stood right next to me and didn't give me any eye contact. Second: he immediately gave a recipe of their Penza to my sis in-law without asking which I had to ask for one myself. Lastly, he was trying to speak with my niece and making her laugh, also wrote her name, sat beside her etc the times he was at our table. Both of our kids weren't interacting with him in the beginning. I'm not trying to make him look bad in any way, but I believe as a past hostess, you try to engage with all kids (there were only two in our table so that's doable) from the beginning and not ignore one child, unless one kid clearly shows they want nothing to do with you. I got their seafood pasta and it was quite filling. I especially loved the mussels, they tasted amazing!!! The portion was quite large & considering that this is one of the pricier items on their menu I'd recommend splitting it with a friend, or taking your leftovers home like I did. Removed 1 star because the waiter was kinda stereotyping me and my friend for being South Asian & automatically assumed we wanted some "spicy sauce" for our bread rather than balsamic without offering the latter till my friend asked for it. When you walked in, the decoration is identical to the other location with the same colour theme, same furniture and same lighting. The only thing that is lacking is the atmosphere... The Yonge Street location is always busy with so much energy..here it is more subtle. The patrons are little more mature. There was no wait for the tables when we got there around 7 PM on Sunday..and with tons of empty tables. The menu is the same. So we ordered our usual pasta and the Seafood special they have. I am a waitress myself and have never ever given a bad review, however my experience at Grazie in Vaughn last night severely disappointed me. I have many severe allergies and IBD so I typically do not eat out. Before going, I made sure to call to ask if the potato pizza could be modified to be made for me due to my allergies. They said they could change their "no substitution" rule if I had medical reasons and I was very excited to get a pizza. They also told me there was gf dough and dairy free cheese so that was promising. When I tried to order I was told they would not do this for me. I was very confused because I had spoke to a waitress earlier that day and she said they would cater to my situation. When I asked why they would not do it for me the manager said "the chef won't make something like that because it just doesn't taste good" and that they also did not have dairy free cheese. I was very offended by this. I am aware that my diet may be plain and limited but I honestly have no choice due to my heath. To say that what I eat is "not good" is very frustrating as I am obviously already aware that I am missing out. I tried to explain that I would not complain and that I understood if they had pride in their menu but for me I simply could not eat all of the toppings. He proceeded to ask me, "what do you usually eat at home". When I continued to tell him I eat exactly what I was trying to order and other plain food he smiled and even laughed at me as if he thought I was lying. This honestly was rude and not okay. He even told me that "if I want to make that, make it at home". I tried to explain to him again why I was disappointed because I had called to confirm I could eat here. He continued to undermine me and even suggested that I called the incorrect restaurant. I checked my call history and confirmed it was this restaurant. In the end he offered me a margarita pizza without cheese and sauce. This would simply just be plain gluten free dough. I then asked if he could do that but add potato because I did not want to just eat and pay for plain dough he said "no the plain margarita is the only option". They also told me I would still have to pay the full price plus the gluten free up charge for the plain dough which is just absurd. At that point I decided not to eat because they were not taking my allergies seriously at all and I was nervous to order anything. As a waitress I know "the customer is always right" and to laugh at a customer because of their dietary restrictions is just straight up disrespectful. My waitress was much nicer and ended up getting me plain potatoes however this completely ruined my night. This manager is ignorant to say the least and should not own a restaurant if he cannot take dietary restriction seriously. I still had to make myself dinner at home and watched my family eat while I sat there with no food. Overall this experience was horrible and I will not be coming back. I will also be telling my friends and family to not go here as they do not deserve our business. One of the best pasta places I been to hands down to the fact that they serve all of their pasta fresh and individual portions! Warning though: this will mean that your pasta dish won't be coming out for awhile. I had a chance to try their famous Tasca - a lasagna-like sheet with mushroom, ricotta, and spinach I believe over a creamier tomato sauce. Amazing pasta - I had a side order of shrimps that went with it and it was the best combinations. The ambience is great - servers are really nice and you can tell they try to do their best to cater their service to you. This is my favourite pasta place in York Region! Fresh made pasta in a very family friendly, casual environment. Reminds me of chilling in Italy. Not pretentious and flashy, jusy solid fresh flavours. My go-to here is definitely their fresh pastas. Huge selection of pastas and sauces to choose from. My favourite is their 'Nico' pasta. Veal and mushroom Pappardelle made to perfection. The sauce is awesome! Reminds me of the pastas in Florence. Definitely nostalgic. Their pizzas are okay, I have had better elsewhere in the 905. Their crust and toppings isn't as good as other spots. Their apps are also not going to blow you away, but are fine. They do have this loyalty program going where they occassionally send you a voucher for a free app or free dessert. We have taken advantage of this a few times. The service is friendly and quick. There are a ton of employees and I seem to see the same servers there everytime. They mist treat their employees decently. There is lots of seating so we have not needed a RSVP when we go.
