The…read moreother bars have their own character, but what sets Clancy's apart is the food and paying attention to detail when it comes to what bars SHOULD have at their customers' disposal. The bar itself has been overhauled and re-finished in several parts until you get what you see now. In short, the place was transformed by its current owners. So, that is nice in that you can walk into a pub in Custer, WI and feel like you walked off the street in any larger town in America. The beer selection is stellar for this neck of the woods, and there is a special attention paid to Irish-oriented alcohol because, well, it's an Irish pub. That, and the owner (Clancy) looks like he crawled out of Braveheart. The food is standard to better-than-average for the most part, but by and large it is done well by Clancy's wife in the kitchen. She runs the show for the most part, and though she is alone, she manages to keep up with the appetites of those who come in...for the most part. The most celebrated food there is probably the Friday Fish Fry (a Wisconsin tradition if you didn't figure that out yet). I've eaten it a number of times, and the consistency of that particular dish is outstanding! Whether you're in Stevens Point, a local, or just moving through the area...Clancy's is worth a stop. It's also the FIRST place you should stop in its neighborhood. There are other bars, but Clancy's is going to give you a bit more of what most people are looking for. Then again, the other bars aren't terrible or overly lacking. They're just more, hmmmm, specific to their particular clientele's needs.

This place has a low profile that belies the quality of the establishment…read more Quietly hidden away just a few minutes from town the external look of Clancey"s gives promise to what's inside which is a warm and well decorated Irish bar with a welcoming publican and friendly staff . But the real stars are on the menu - all home made by the lady of the house - mostly with an Irish / English twist, and all with character and great taste. Personal favorite is the Saint Paddys pizza - a variation on the staple of corned beef and cabbage - served up on a pizza base with a gorgeous mustard sauce. Friday fish fry is baked and crumbed - nothing deep fried and is a pleasant change from the norm. If possible skip eating in the main dining room - it mostly lacks the atmosphere of the front bar and games room - and instead soak up all this place has to offer while sitting at or alongside the bar. The place gets full and busy on Friday nights but is never rowdy and the TVs are well placed and not obtrusive. And leave room for dessert - again they're home made and there's always a couple of themed items that are sure to please. Prices are very reasonable and portions are a good size. I'm a fan.

It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday, and they were fairly busy for not being in prime lunch or dinner hours. We ordered two medium beef & cheddar meals, one a double. It took close to ten minutes between ordering and getting our food at the window, but at least everything was hot and the order was correct. The medium meals are huge - I would have guessed they were larges by looking at them. My fries were hot, crispy, and cooked all the way through - sometimes curly fries get those dense undercooked spots where they're curliest, but these were cooked correctly. My sandwich had plenty of cheese sauce and a good portion of meat. The onions on the bun weren't cooked all the way, though, and kept falling into my lap as I tried to eat. Also, Arby's meat has this weird quality of being extremely chewy if you bite into too thick a spot in your sandwich. I find it off-putting and it reminded me why I haven't had an Arby's sandwich in years. My boyfriend's double-meat sandwich was hilariously hefty - I actually laughed when I picked it up out of the bag. This location appears to be quite new and service was polite and professional. It's probably the best Arby's I've been to, but the food quality isn't quite enough to tip me over into a four-star experience overall. If you're a fan of Arby's, you'll love this location. If you're just in the area looking for a quick meal, you'll do just fine stopping through.

We pulled up to order our ham sandwiches when we are told you no longer carry ham. Interesting considering your slogan says, "WE have the MEATS" I guess that is no longer true!! Thanks to your false advertising we wasted almost an hour trying to find somewhere else in the area our son could eat since we specifically looked for Arby's to eat at. You just lots our family as customers! .

The staff was consistently cleaning, restocking and keeping everything cold and fresh- we loved their offerings and was happy to have made the choice to add to our meals. Had a large group with us- celebrating a graduation.. didn't slow our service down. Happy that we were able to visit here- close to StePo- and easy to get to.

We arrived prior to our reservation, so we sat at the bar while waiting and frankly that was the best part until a bartender stuck a glass into the ice well and broke said glass, then picked some ice and presumably broken glass out. I can say that after watching Bar Rescue since season one I was at a code red upon witnessing that, but my husband that works in food/bev service who abides by the protocols for said circumstance was horrified and literally stopped getting anything that required ice after seeing they didn't empty the ice well and clean it out before replacing glassy-icy with fresh ice. Then we were taken to our table and encountered our poor waitress, Tiff. She had tables in sections so far away from us--separately partitioned sections but also a separate room. Service was horrible, but she was spread so that thin it was clearly an owner/manager problem (as the other two waitresses we saw were never in the other sections, yet she was at close to a run between the three). Sky Club could have at least had bussers clearing the courses, but instead our table was a wasteland of glasses, bowls, app plates and main course plates. And I'd be embarrassed to claim my place had the first salad bar in the US if it was a disaster of mayhem regarding both order and produce. It's only a salad bar, no soup, yet plates were around the entirety of the baby salad bar. People kept grabbing one of the myriads of stacked plates and cutting in at nonsensical points. There were spoiled grape tomatoes and broccoli heads, huge partial heads of lettuce, yet no cottage cheese??? The beef stroganoff had overcooked pasta, the beef and mushrooms were indistinguishable from one another, and there was not enough "gravy" (that's what their menu called it). Prime rib was gray and bland. Shrimp was bland. Salmon was bland. Mac & cheese was dry and bland. There were five of us, and the only thing that was truly enjoyed at any point was the French onion soup. We wanted to order more drinks and planned on having dessert, but due to how thin management spread Tiff, we basically prayed to baby Jesus just to get our bill. Shame on the owners/management! She was literally running, while older waitresses with a handful of tables were lounging. Teach the old ones to buss tables. This is not a good look for Sky Club. Not only did you lose money on food & drinks with mismanagement, but out of all the supper clubs in the state, we never want or plan to return again.
