This place had fantastic staff but the soup broth (we had both baked French onion and chili) had zero flavor. The salad was just lettuce with one piece of cucumber and one piece of tomato. I have been raised eating my dad's fish fries and fish fries around portage county. Bunny hop in junction always had the best. I worked at tiki Beach and bulkhead restaurant as well. Your batter is terrible compared to what it could be. And to me tarter sauce is very important. Whoever makes yours needs training. I don't want miracle whip with a few chunks of pickle relish. To make it proper u should try some lemon juice and pickle juice as well. I paid so much I choked what I could then fed my dog. I've never fed my dog fish fry ever... I tried to call u multiple times for a refund but your never open. read more

While our waitress and staff were pleasant and on point, the price didn't justify the food or portions. I understand that they have generous portions but can easily find more stellar food and prices at other local joints for half the price! I would have preferred normal portions for better prices! The kids menu prices are near the same as an adult price and to add meat to your dish it's an EXTRA $4-$5! I ordered two breakfast dishes and kids pancakes and it came to $38 which didn't even include a tip! Not something I'm used to paying for a quick breakfast stop - something our family does often. The service was really good the place looks nice inside. I got the eggs benedict for breakfast the hollandaise sauce was bland and really thin. What really got me was they charge an extra 2.75 for poached eggs....FOR A DISH THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE STANDARD WITH POACHED EGGS! That is like me going to a steak restaurant and ordering a well done steak and them being like well that's an extra 5.00 cause it's gunna take longer to cook. Which I would never order a steak well done but you get the point. Overall I wouldn't reccomend this place for breakfast, food was poor the only redeeming quality was the good waitresses. read more

First time here. I wish I could give it 10 stars! Four of us were dining on a Sunday. We had breakfast skillets and biscuits and gravy. The breakfast skillets were made with all super fresh ingredients. Eggs were perfect. The gravy for the biscuits was the best I have had. Clearly it was not from a can. The food was so good that we actually ordered 3 additional meals to go. We are traveling from Northeastern Wisconsin but will definitely stop here whenever we are out this way! read more

One of the best gyros I've ever had. (Ask for the onions to be grilled. You won't be disappointed.) Super-efficient service. Ginormous portions. Next time, I'm going to try their Bloody Mary. It's just $7, and basically has a whole meal worth of garnishes. read more

Another amazing recommendation from "Jimbo" This place gives you insane portions of food!! Now when you hear that you think "The price must reflect on that" well your right it does (a little)! It comes out fast and hot and tastes just as great as it looks! I really didn't see a bar when we stopped in here but they do have some "Adult" beverages! Paradise has a unique schedule so either call ahead or look at their Facebook schedule to find the restaurant hours. There are no signs to wait for seating but the man behind the counter said we could sit anywhere. There are booths and tables available. Additional seating is also available outside. The place is clean and décor with replicated painting that adorned the walls. It was nice but I was more excited for the food. The menu is extensive. Everything from breakfast to gyros, steak and shrimp, ribs, stir-fry, and burritos. It has something for everyone. The prices are affordable. I didn't see anything over $20 a plate, mid-range $11. The portions are HUGE. I ordered "The Original Gyro" and it came with a cup of soup, a side of fries, the gyro with layers of meat. I couldn't finish it in one seating. Most of the people who visited also went home with containers of food; a total win-win with the pricing and portion. The service is spectacular! This is a family owned restaurant. Each time the waitressing son or mother came around, they'd chit chat for a while and brought us extra sauce or refilled our drinks. They're soft spoken and well mannered; always smiling. This is the kind of place I've been looking for in town and a new place for me to support. Comforting, close to home, and delicious. I will most definitely return! read more

I hate doing this but today's experience was really bad. I have tried overlooking some of the negative comments we have heard about Paradise and have tried to defend it, but after the last 2 visits I have to agree the food is not up to par and today just pushed us over the edge. Our server was very nice and attentive but all 4 of us had food that was less than mediocre and some sandwiches were missing items, 1 scrawny piece of turkey, bacon raw for those that got it and 2 were missing bacon and the tomato. I have learned the secret to the inconsistency is that the food is good when the owner is there cooking. When he isnt there it is not good at all. I hope they figure it out cuz I hate to lose yet another local place to eat read more

The Paradise is better characterized as a ' Diner & Restaurant' than a 'Bar & Grill.' This family-owned restaurant has no bar, but they serve drinks with meals. This is one of the friendliest restaurants in the Stevens Point area. The servers go out of their way to greet you and make sure you have a good dining experience. The Paradise menu, like many family restaurants, has too many food items to choose from. During our midday visit, I ordered a southern breakfast with eggs, hash browns, biscuits, and gravy. Everything was good. Breakfast portions were generous. We also ordered the 'Plover Burger' which came with fries and standard burger accompaniments: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, and a 100 island-style sauce. It was delicious. Fries were hot and crispy. The restaurant's diner-inspired decor is clean, casual, and quaint. The big draw at this restaurant is the outdoor deck. I have the feeling that this is a great place for a burger and cocktail combo during summer evenings. The restaurant also boasts good Gyro plates, ribs, and Friday fish. I hope to explore these options later in the year -- when I can dine outdoors on their deck. read more

Stopped here for breakfast a while ago, in my husband's and my quest to try new restaurants for breakfast. Hadn't really heard anything about here, especially the MASSIVE portion sizes, so that was a shock to say the least. My 7-egg omelette was so so good, and made very good leftovers as well. The food is amazing and PLENTIFUL. They're priced a little more but you get like 3 meals worth of food so get a take home box. You can get the fish fry anytime and it's really good. Came here for lunch with high expectations from the 4.5 star rating on here, but was disappointed. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich. Instead of thick French toast as stated in the menu, the bread was pretty much just cooked eggs. Not crispy in the least, and I could taste a hint of powdered sugar but there was none visible. It tasted fine and they season their French fries which is nice. My friend had one of the daily specials, veal parmesan. Again, tasted okay but not what was expected. The veal was served already cut up and several stray fettucine noodles were mixed in with the spaghetti. I would expect this level of carelessness from a restaurant with an average of 2 or 3 stars, not almost 5. Maybe breakfast is different but for lunch this place is nothing special. read more
