I've driven past this restaurant sooo many times. This past weekend was the day we walked through their door. From the moment you walk in, the bar sets the tone--dark wood, warm lighting, friendly bartenders who make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Seriously, if I lived in Stevens Point, their bar would be my go-to day drinking hangout. I will note that they make a well made cocktail from their drink menu. Further, their brandy old fashioneds are perfect, and are sizeable. To start, the goat cheese bruschetta is a must‑order. Creamy, tangy goat cheese paired with perfectly toasted bread and a nice garlic topping. I don't even like goat cheese but, there were plenty good. For dinner, Michelle's has all the supper club with the surf and turf classics. The beer‑battered walleye is exactly what you'd hope for: crisp, flavorful, and somehow not greasy at all. If fish isn't your pick, the planked salmon with a sweet pecan topping to provide contrasting flavours and textures. All in all, Michelle's is everything you want from a Wisconsin supper club: welcoming vibes, great cocktails, knockout comfort food, and that timeless charm that keeps you coming back. They do lose a start because of service...it was so slow, and I don't quite understand why because there were a number of empty tables. The other curiosity that I would mention is that when we played the leftover salmon we left it on the plank. They asked for the plank bank to reuse? They're only good for a couple uses tops before the oils are gone...and that is not entirely sanitary...but that is just me perhaps. If you're in Stevens Point, hit this place up. I usually do not leave reviews, but we were very disappointed with our service a few weeks ago. We were visiting friends in the area who had made a reservation for 5 people. We had our 7 month old daughter who they informed us upon arrival should have been included as a 6th person. We have never had this happen at a resteraunt and the hostess made it seem like a major inconvenience to them & almost did not seat us. We had a group of 7 check out Michele's a few weeks ago. One of the people in our party was on a quest, searching for the best of Wisconsin Supper clubs. We knew from the time we sat down at the bar for a few Old Fashions that this was going to be a great night! The bartender was funny and welcoming. She knew how to mix a drink, and was very knowledgeable about the history of the Supper Club. Our food was outstanding and the service was excellent! I had Halibut which is hard to find in Wisconsin. It was the best I've had since we visited Alaska. My husband had the fillet which was also done perfectly and delicious. Someone had Scallops, also great. I can't remember the other entrees that were ordered but I do know everyone was very happy. The pace of service was perfect! I go here every week for the Prime Rib special on Saturday night and it's by far the best in the area. It has great flavor and they cook it perfectly. I've also had the rib-eye which was tremendous and cooked perfectly. The Seafood Basciani is made with shrimp scallops and crab with linguine in a garlic, butter and white wine sauce and also very good. The service has been great every time . . . attentive enough without being a nuisance and very friendly and welcoming. It can get busy on Fridays and Saturday's so recommend a reservation either day. I have literally traveled 90% of North America and eaten at a LOT of higher end restaurants. The Apple Smoked Bacon & Horseradish Ribeye was probably in my top two best steaks I've ever had in my life. The only thing that would make this better was if the steak was wagyu steak. The service was really good and accommodating. Staff extremely friendly! Dressing up is probably the way to go, but we stopped on Mother's Day casually dressed and was welcomed with open arms and a smile on their face. Food is average. Entity is old fashioned, dark, outdated interior. Great rolls and baked potatoes.

First off, reservations are recommended. The establishment is easy to locate but parking is tight. I've lived in the Point area for over 10 years and this was the first time I came here as it was our anniversary. Outside is plain. Inside has low lightening, there were a few plants, and had lots of wood. Common Wisconsin supper club. You enter through and meet the bar right away. To the left is where the hostess is and she will take you to your seat. Our appetizer, fried calamari, took awhile to come in but it was cooked well, not chewy, fresh, and crunchy. Delicious. We also tried their chicken soup which had chunks of rotisserie chicken pieces in it. Nothing taste like it was from frozen. Husband got the swordfish while I went with the prime rib. He was satisfied with his meal. It was the first time I tried swordfish and I liked it better than I thought. It was sweet and savory; doesn't have a fishy smell to it. For a "Queen" size prime rib, it was huge. It was cooked magnificently. Medium rare, soft, and melt in your mouth. The best prime rib I've had in Central Wisconsin! Our drinks were refilled regularly. Our waitress was attentive but I felt rushed throughout the meal. It was a holiday so I assumed they wanted to have people in and out due to reservations. Most supper clubs dont really impress me with their steaks, this one did. The prime rib was amazing. My wife got the Wendy can't decide and she loved it. The sides were just ok,which is why I gave it 4/5, but the service was really good. The waitress was attentive and responsive. At first coming in here was kinda skeptical no one greeted us and when we where seated it was like 10 minutes before we where brought any water once we got our water the hostess came to us and stated she would be our server. That they where busy. They where not that busy. This was the hostesses 5 day and she did wonderful very sweet. I will say this if not for her we would have up and left and not been able to enjoy this awesome meal. One of the best steaks I've had in a long time. We gathered here after my father-in-laws funeral. There were 60 of us there for lunch. We had chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, coleslaw, rolls, ham and it was delicious, except for the coleslaw, it was sitting on the table when we got there and I believe that since it got warm, it didn't taste as good. Another couple and ourselves have undertaken an adventure to tour every registered Supper Club in Wisconsin and score it for ourselves. Last night it was Michelle's. We were more than impressed! It started right from the email confirmation of our reservation by Thad, Letting us know they were looking forward to seeing us! Welcomed by Kathy behind the bar who drew up near perfect coctails and took the time to mingle and even sing abit as she worked! The hostess also gave us extra attention to make sure we were comfortable before TJ took over and hit every mark as our waiter! The food was fantastic, from the Apple smoked bacon horseradish ribeye, to the gorganzola strip, to lightly battered perfectly fried shrimp to my seafood encrusted halibut- it was all elevated and amazing! Desert and the ice cream drinks didnt disapoint either! Even as we left and had forgotten our leftovers the hostess literally ran out of the resturant to catch us to make sure we had them before we left! Really a top level experience. As shared, our little group scores each resturant in 17 different categories from food to ambiance to parking lots, bathrooms and staff. We've already been to a number of the 262 registered resturants including the reputationally considered #1 Ishnala in the Dells. Well folks, there's a NEW LEADER AT THE CLUB HOUSE and it Michelle's in Stevens Point who now has the honor of the highest average score from merry little group! My husband and I came after Valentine's Day to celebrate snd we arrived right at 4pm when they opened. The hostess took us to a two seat table which was fine for us since we didn't have reservations. she also said if you can eat and be done within an hour you can sit at a regular table. Yikes I was getting the rush feeling but tried to relax at the two seat table and enjoy our celebration. I noticed everyone was hurrying back and forth, the waitresses I mean. Well as soon as our waitress arrived it was the same. She rushed and talked and swirled around a hundred miles an Hour and we never were able to relax and enjoy our meal. The appetizer was great; goat cheese bruschetta and smoked salmon. The salad lacked Caesar dressing, the rolls were cold and hard and the prime rib was fatty and tasteless. Sorry but the worst thing about this whole night was the constant rushing. The food was mediocre. The old fashion drink was mediocre and when we were asked about dessert I was just done. We had New Year's dinner here. The food was unbelievable. The drinks were great and the prices were very reasonable. I would give 3 1/2 stars if I could. Five stars for the food and two stars for the service. I don't know what the deal was with our server. However, she was chronically in a hurry. I felt we had a foot on our back pushing us out the front door pretty much from the moment we sat down. As an example, after she served our entrées and came to check on us she literally did not break stride. Asking "how is everything?" while walking past the table. There were only two tables in her section and it was 9 o'clock. There is no way she could've been that busy. She also wanted to take our food drink and appetizer order all at once. She had the check in hand when she asked us if we wanted dessert, which was immediately after she cleared our entrées. I'm pretty sure my girlfriend ordered chocolate cake in simple spite. It was just very weird for check tab of $70/pp and not in the fashion of your typical supper club. Also, the dining room was very cold. I have a suspicion that our experience was an outlier. However, I would hope management would screen for this, and keep those best for a five table section at Chili's during the lunch hour away from their New Year's Eve event. I haven't had such good service and attention in a very long time. It was truly a fine dining experience. The waitresses were dressed nicely, were polite and very attentive. The music was at the right level. We had cloth napkins and tablecloths, lighted oil lamps, real silverware. Before the meal, we had dinner rolls and salad. The salad was an excellent mixture of greens and vegetables. My shrimp was excellent as was my baked potato (I asked for extra sour cream which they promptly brought). My husbands steak was okay (very fatty) and his french fries were well seasoned. They kept our coffee and water full (many restaurants only offer to refill soda and neglect the water). The only things keeping this from being perfect was that the buns didn't taste homemade (if they were, I apologize) and the little butter pats. One of my pet peeves in a fine dining establishment is to have to unwrap all the little butter pats for my baked potato, taking time and making a mess. We went for a date night at around 5 pm on a Thursday. We had wonderful waitstaff and a wonderful server. Their attitudes were professional and a little funny, and it was an all around good atmosphere. The food was good, but not exceptional for $40 a plate. I ordered a Ribeye for $38 and it came with fries, and my partner ordered a NY Strip for $38 and it came with American fries. With the meals, it came with a choice of salad or soup, no salad bar (which I believe to be a staple in the supper club experience). The meals were good and my partner had an Old Fashioned for $6, which was also good (decent size too). We had a good experience overall. That being said, the meal rounded out to $86 without tip. Yes, we were full at the end of the meal, but that does not mean that it was $86 worth of food. The food was good, but not exceptional for the price. Aside from the food, the experience was lovely and the waitress was perfectly timed and incredibly kind! Because of the steep prices, I am not sure that we will return however. If the meals were dropped by about $10 a plate (the cheapest currently is about $25), we may return. Wine service was non-existent...i mean really bad... turned her back to us, butchered the foil and cork, set it on the table without a word. Would you like soup or salad? I give very few reviews with five stars. This place is a gem in an area that I wouldn't expect it--there is nothing nearby that compares. The service was fast and friendly. The quality of the food was top-notch. The calamari was tender with light breading. The ribeye was done to perfection, and fork-tender The Wisconsin beer was refreshing and the scotch selection gave me the feeling of home. Today was Easter an unconventional day for Michele's with them having a buffet style lunch. Over all the atmosphere is for the upper class retired folks the food was still on par. One recommendation that I would do on days like these is avoid the ram for it's was extremely hard to handle on the pallet as well on the plate. read more

Great, great food here. The Friday fish fry is one of my favorites in town, how can a person go wrong with unlimited homemade coleslaw and a hot bean medley, the fresh herb oven baked bread is fantastic, and the baked fish is juicy and perfectly seasoned...for just $12!! I would give this place 5 stars but the prices of the non specials are a little higher than I would prefer. I feel a little uncomfortable spending around $20 dollars for a salmon dinner, I would prefer around $15 for the center of Wisconsin. But the size of their salmon dinner larger than most places. I would say the fillet of salmon is %40 larger most places. And when everyone leaves full and satisfied that can be worth every penny. Because the food is amazing here and the portions are very filling. I've eaten here many times through the years and the food has always been good. No one ever seems to regret what they have ordered. When you walk in the door, you'll feel like you walked into a supper club from years ago. Lots of chatter, drinks, and smiles. I like the seating area to the left of the bar much more than the seating to the right it feels more intimate and the lighting makes each table feel a little more private. The seating to the right of the bar just feels a little off, a bit to much like sitting in a classroom or something, it just seems to lack character. One thing I really like is the holiday buffets they set up her. I've been to a Mexican buffet for Cinco de Mayo, an Irish buffet for saint Patty's day, and Creole buffet Fat Tuesday. When dining out in a group, Michele's is a 'safe' choice. They have mastered standard supper club fare. Their chicken, fish, steaks, etc. are consistently good. Food at Michele's doesn't disappoint... neither does it inspire. We attended their Easter brunch and everything offered was delicious -- but the selection was ordinary (ham, prime rib, stuffed cabbage, fried chicken lamb roast, egg bake). No bold favors were found. And, the no-bake cheesecake dessert was a disappointment. Chef Thad is a local talent... but we haven't had the opportunity to sample his best yet. Where do I start...Me and my wife ordered oysters Rockefeller and they bring 5 oysters for 2 people like we are supposed to fight to the death for the 5th oyster or something why and odd number for 2 people smh, the waiter never asked us what kinda drinks we wanted so we had to ask another waitress for drinks. The rolls 2 rolls they gave us were like eating rocks out the driveway. Then me and my wife ordered steaks I had the ribeye and she had the new York strip, Mine was rare hers was medium and they got them switched up. Michele's is hands down, one of the few very nice restaurants in the Stevens Point and surrounding areas. Every time I go here, it is a treat. My favorite item to have is the filet with their totally awesome Bacon and Horseradish topping that is out of bounds delicious!! What I like best about this restaurant is they cook your steak perfectly each time to your liking and they never disappointed me. I like mine extremely rare, and not many can cook it like Michele's can. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, from an elegant dinner, to a casual fish fry, or even have them cater an event! read more
