    April 25, 2023 Went to frobergs next door and smelled the smoke and saw they made boudin; I'm there! Mr Freak (owner and a very friendly guy) and I hate that I don't have great, positive things to say about his meat but, I'm always honest with reviews (as I see it, eat it) He let me taste the boudin he had just prepared; umm no brother that's NOT boudin the way French people make it. It was a bit spicy but, it was just mushy w/a chunk of smoked meat (I think) was chicken but, I didn't ask. I tasted sliced smoked peppered turkey which was great. I tasted jalapeno cheese sausage - greasy-overcooked. I was embarrassed but buy anything because Mr Freak and his female employee were so nice, so I randomly picked 1 smoked boneless chicken breasts to go. $15 (huge) When I got home I broke it down to package for lunch and lawd it was dry as bone. What's the deal man; are you overcooking it OR has it been sitting under a lamp all day(s)? Mr Greak is from Rosharon TX and being a country guy he should know how to smoke meats by default, no? I should have bought the smoked turkey because the 3 other meats were a thumbs down. I can see why the freezers are full

    FOOD SAFETY and PRICE ALERT We brought our kids to Frobergs farm and were looking for lunch close by. This little "restaurant " was introduced by the farm staff and it was actually the worst restaurant ever in my life. There is only one person working there as food sever( cutting and weigh meats) and cashier at the same time, BIG flies around their cutting board and meat. There is no price showing how much their bbq are and their meats are RAW to sell ! I paid $50 only for this RAW nasty three piece of ribs without utensils to eat. Be careful to this place , they are escalating parents playing in the farm.

    Overpriced!! Had some deer processed here and it was a pretty quick turnaround, but was told my meat was ready and given a price of $909 (which I thought was a little high but whatever) so I went to pick up my meat and when I get there the price changes to $1,285. Had the text messages to prove it and everything, but the guy still didn't care. Good quality on the meat and packaging, but you can get the same stuff down the road for a fraction of the price

    The only reason why I'm giving this review 2 stars is because the sausage is worth the drive. We ordered about $100 worth of overpriced food and honestly it was a waste! We ordered beef ribs, sausage, turkey leg, and brisket. Turkey leg is average, beef ribs were burnt, yet the guy said it would be perfect and really juicy but actually was dry and greasy. Brisket had no flavor. The smell honestly makes me want to . The small jar of bbq sauce is $6, which he didn't say until after we paid. So my recommendation just stick to the deer sausage and turkey leg otherwise go somewhere else for real smoked meat.

    Small and nice store. Highly recommend for anyone who doesn't like sausage like me. Sausage here will change your mind. They sell both frozen and hot sausage. You can buy and eat right away or cook at home by yourself. There are variety of sausage but I highly recommend jalapeño and cheese one. When you have a chance to go strawberry picking at Froberg's farm. Remember to stop by here!

    Greak's Smoke House is this tiny little building of delight about 4 ft away from the Froberg's Farm warehouse. They offer a variety of smoked and frozen meats, drinks, and a few refrigerated sides that might surprise you with how damn good they are. If you've been tempted by the free sausage samples they hand out inside Froberg's, then head on over to Greak's where you can get a healthy length of goodness on a bun or on a stick. Condiment options tend to be mustard or BBQ sauce. I'd stick with the mustard. Be hungry, though, because its a beast or even split one with a friend. You've been warned. If you're just looking for something to take home and munch on over the next few days, let me fully endorse their Smoked Chicken Salad. It's so good it makes me forget how much I despise mayonnaise. We take home a little container of it (enough for about 5 sandwiches) and count the minutes until the next day's lunch. We love it. Prices seem a little high but you're definitely getting your money's worth. They don't give you an itemized receipt but I'm guessing the sausage on a bun and container of chicken salad are about $7 a piece. 3.8 stars. Big fans.

    I sampled a few things and all were excellent. The turkey pan sausage was amazing but it seemed a little high priced as was the jerky. They had my favorite thing ever, beef ribs, they were $13 a pound and each rib is 1.5 to 2 pounds. They were beautiful. I only bought a link of jalapeño sausage for $8 and it's really good. I'll be back and I'll bring more money!!

    The food is overpriced and food safety standards are not important here. The quality of the food is not worth the price.

    Excellent Deer Processing! Highly recommend! They make everything from hamburger, smoked sausage, summer sausage, jerky, boudin, and more!
