This entire crew is amazing and always so nice. I come in every couple of weeks, and it's always a great experience. Jocelyn is very professional and seems like a great manager. You can tell she keeps everything running smoothly. Zoe is usually my stylist, and she always does an amazing job, especially on my beard. She's personable, super sweet, fast, and caring. You can tell she really cares about her customers and takes pride in her work. Overall, it feels like a fun, friendly group of people here, and I always leave happy. I want to share an awful experience that my son experienced at this Great Clip. We had our 2 boys go themselves to learn independence. Instead of a joyful experience, the hairdresser asked him, "Oh where are you from?". As a minority, this is not a good way to greet someone. He responded he's from Agoura, and the hairdresser continued, "Oh where are your parents from?". When he responded again, that my dad is from Philadelphia, she then stereotyped and said, "well, you must be 2nd generation then.". WTF. To make matters worse, she was curt with him and impatient when he tried to communicate what he wanted. This all occurred in about 5 minutes since he was rushed out of the chair even though there was no one waiting My other son had a better experience, but he's also 2 years older. I'm exceptionally shocked at what happened today. I went in as a guy and asked for an inch off the top, sides, and back. Overall probably one of the easiest haircuts to ask for. The hair stylist went on to cut about 3 inches off the top, sides and back. The sad thing is that I might have to come back in because the length is exceptionally uneven. I was absolutely shocked and I wasn't going to complain because I never had but I knew I had to say something. I told the lady "thank you for cutting my hair but I asked for 1 inch off and you cut way more." She quite literally ignored me. I said it again. She stated that she did cut it an inch and that she cut my hair how much she showed before the haircut. I'm sorry but you can't gaslight me into thinking you cut my hair an inch when you quite literally cut it more than 3 inches. The other stylist was exceptionally kind and came over and gave me a refund. I'll come back and have the other stylist but never again her. I'm still absolutely shocked and really upset. For a first time visit I was impressed with Monique who had cut my straight hair with a European Curtain Bangs style, as requested. I brought with me a photograph of a similar hairstyle that I have had consistently for many years and upon looking at the photograph, Monique cut my hair just exactly as desired as per the photograph. This is the 2nd time my husband has a bad experience in this hair salon. I guess you get what you pay for? My husband came to this place when it first opened, he has think African American hair, he explained to the lady what she's supposed to do and ended up looking like a military haircut. They don't know how to fade. Today after 8mos, my husband took my son to have a haircut and same thing. They just don't know how to do it. My sons hair looks annoyingly ugly. I am here now and walked in with my husband and son. As it says walk right in!! The woman behind the counter asked us if we were checked in on line. I informed her no but we have been here before. She added our number and asked me who was getting their hair cut I explained my son and husband. She took my sons name but not my husband I assumed the next stylist would take his name and then had my son walk to the chair chair then we waited for the next hair styles to open one did and she took his name. Then two people came in and she said to one of them "I got you" and told the second gentlemen it would be about 20 minutes then had the guy who she said I got you sit down in her chair. Then said because we didn't check in and two people did while we were waiting we will now have to wait??? I was at a lost for words. I explained that we have been sitting here patiently waiting and that it wasn't our fault that the lady didn't put his name in. She said she was sorry but still did not accommodate us. I refused to get a hair cut for my husband. Felicity Neher the assistant manager is the one who decided to take on her REGULAR CUSTOMER INSTEAD OF US. I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS GREAT CLIPS AGAIN. Worst service ever on top of that they did not give my son exactly what he asked for. It is way way too short on the top. I would also state that if I was explained the policies when I entered as I have been there before for other hair cuts but for some reason my name or phone number did not come up in the system. Been here twice now and both times I have left with an OK to bad hair cut, not good or great, but just OK or bad. I debated between giving them one or two stars and ended up giving the two because I didn't walk out with a terrible haircut. So I have been getting the same haircut since I joined the military over 15 years ago. Even thought I'm now out I still like the same haircut. Never have I been anywhere else that when I as for a medium skin fade that the person cutting my hair decides to argue with me about this. But 2 time with 2 different "barbers" at this location I have had assure them that I know what a skin fade is and I know what I want and they still, try a #2, #1 then finally use no guard as requested. Both times I have been there the haircut has taken WAY to long. Its a bit ridicules that a simple fade should take well over 40 minutes. Most places that I have been to can do a really good job in about 20 minutes or less. The first haircut they did a terrible job cleaning up my neck and I had to redo it at home. The second lady did a much better job at that. Neither "Barber" offered to put gel or any other product in my hair. Then to clean up the loose hair on me they barely dab a dry towel around my head. Come on, you have to know that does no good at all! Then the haircut is $17. What $17 and I get an OK or bad haircut that takes way to long. They don't do any of the common things like a hot towel or even put some gel in my hair. I know why I have been able to walk in with no wait here 2 times now. Well I can't even speak to the quality of their services because the older woman who sat me down quickly decided she couldn't cut my hair. My hair had gotten badly knotted so I was looking to just cut it off, really short. I told her this and she said that she couldn't cut it & that if I went home and brushed it out I could come back and she could cut it. I know this isn't an upscale salon but they should try hiring stylists with a little more skill. This was our first time trying this place out. My husband and my son checked in online to minimize the wait time. We walked in at the same time as another gentleman. The lady at the reception asked if the gentleman checked in and he hadn't. He was a walk in client. So he was told he will need to wait 15 mins. However one of the hair stylists walked up and said I will take him first since he walked in first?????? She said it's a just a matter of opinion. !??! And took him to a chair to start cutting his hair making us wait. It was definitely an awkward moment. I'm not sure if we will ever be back if this is how they use the check in process. They have employees that clearly don't respect the process Great Clips have established leaving the customers confused. Hope this review finds them well and they can train their personnel on their check-in process making it independent of the individual hairdresser opinion. read more

I like to bring my son here the staff is friendly and I being a hairdresser myself ( not currently working... Raising kids) am super picky..... I have no problem letting them know exactly what I want or expect I have even taken the clippers from one of the lady's to show what I ment but all the time they are nice and friendly. I do like the place it's clean and organized and I don't think the price is bad when I worked in a salon I would charge $25 for a mans haircut. I also believe you get what you pay for..... I haven't seen any reviews for this place yet, which is surprising since they're really busy. I will put a caveat on my 5 stars: I have gone to get my hair cut twice and Arielle, who cut my hair the first time, was really excellent so I made sure I went to her again. The 5-stars is mostly just for her since I haven't been to anyone else. The shop itself is really nice, bright, clean, organized and everything is new so that's all good. Everyone is really friendly, also nice. The entrance/waiting area is pretty cramped, but I have never been there long so I haven't had that bother me. You can check in through an app to avoid having to wait. And if there's a long wait there are nearby shops you can probably go look around and I'd recommend it. They have the waiting list displayed on the wall TV too so you can see where you're at in line. Again I cannot review the other stylists, but I will say that I would personally be nervous having any of them cut my hair because both times I was there someone accidentally "checked-out" and changed my notes in the computer while I was still getting my haircut. They're supposed to check you in when you get there and check you out when they finish so they can put in the computer how you like your hair cut for next time, but since they all use the same register it seems some of the stylists get confused and check out the wrong person. I could understand it the first time when they had just opened but it's been a few months and I have reservations about having someone cut my hair if they can't use the register. Still, for the price on the coupons they have right now (because they recently opened) it's definitely worth a try to see if you can find a stylist who cuts hair the way you like. read more
