Cost: The price linger towards the cheaper side for a basic hair cut. I think a regular cut hovers somewhere around $15. Environment: A medium sized facility. There were about 4 stations on each side, totaling to about 8 within the whole place. The hair dressers were nice and welcoming as I entered. Service: I came here in a pinch to get my hair cut. I usually get my hair cut once a year and my go-to place is in the city. I knew it was way overdue to cut my hair and going into the city kept getting pushed until next time so I just decided to make the jump and stop by here. All I wanted was a simple cut, no layer, about 10 inches off. The initial visit was great. My hair came out nice and I liked how short it was cut. After a couple months, I decided to add some layers because it was long enough where it wouldn't flip. I thought since they did a great job before, the layers shouldn't be a problem. That was my mistake, the layers were uneven, my right side wasn't even fully trimmed, it was all a mess. I had to go elsewhere and get it fixed up because my friends were telling me that the unevenness was very noticeable . Uniqueness: The place is a quick in and out facility. Second time here. Cut by Anna, who claimed 16 years with the company. I was overdue for a cut, explained I wanted it lightly trimmed back and leave it touching my ears to protect my hearing aids. I removed my glasses and hearing aids and sat back. I left with 1/3rd of the hair I went in with and ears totally exposed. Furious doesn't begin to describe how I feel. If I could sue, I would. I dunno, I know I'm cheap but $16 for a haircut that took 10 minutes? Maybe they should change the name to "Gouge Clips". I brought my son back here on a Sunday making certain to pre-register online. We only waited a few minutes and we were back in the car in less than 20 minutes. The haircut was decent. For $96 an hour, it damn well better be. The fact is that I only went in with $20 figuring I'd leave the girl who cut his hair a nice tip. This was the first experience at this establishment for my husband and son. I normally do not go to yelp to write negative feedback however the experience was terrible from the minute they walked in. The employees are no where near professional as what you would expect a normal hairdresser to be. My husband and son explained what they wanted done and the employees still did not know what they were doing. My husband had to continuely do there own job for them because it seemed like it was there fist time cutting hair. When the haircut was finished my son's hair was worse than when they walked in. The hair on each side was completely uneven and the line is crooked. I am no hair expert but I know for a fact this is not what a proper haircut should look like. I 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. I've been going to this Great Clips location for over 4 years, I bring my kids in for haircuts once a month and also get my hair cut there. The girls are super friendly most have many years of experience. I haven't been dissatisfied once! I consistently use 3 of the stylists there. I'm really surprised by others reviews! The bad ones! Lol You can't beat the price, $15 adults or $13 for kids and more than half the time you can pick up a coupon for 9.99. I guess everyone has their opinion, but I would recommend trying this salon out and forming your own, because I'm picky and I've always been satisfied. I had a LOVELY experience my first time here. The lady was awesome did a wash cut & blow dry for $18! Second time I felt bombarded I asked for the same service. She then wouldn't blow dry my hair unless I paid $25?! UGH. It looked great but wtf?! $55 for GREAT CLIPS?! Absolutely horrible experience! My husband went there for hair cut today- a stylist began to buzz his head on the lowest setting and only after my husband felt his hair falling to the ground did she realize she went to the wrong client! She then tried to fix her mistake which only made it worse. When the owner was called , she wouldn't even get on the phone with my husband or offer his money back! She told him the policy was " no money back". Apparently the policy is also to send stylists to any client , and not check who the client is before they start work. This place is horrible! I have a good friend who is legally blind so my husband and I take him for his haircuts. He had been going to this facility for the past several months, and each time we noticed that he was not really getting the services required for a man's haircut, and his hair always looked like it was chopped up. Yesterday, when I brought him to the shop, I reminded him to ask for an eyebrow trim, and to trim the hair growing on his ears. Mind you, he did have a discount coupon sent to him by them, and he would have been willing to pay a few bucks extra for these services. I waited in my car for him while I made a couple of calls confirming my appointments for the rest of my day. He returned to my car within 15 minutes. When I looked at him I could not believe my eyes! His hair was a chopped up mess. The right & left side of his head was not even. Forget about his brows, they were just as bushy, but now the just looked like they were cut straight across, used scissor only, no clipper of any kind. His ears, not touched. My friend asked the stylist, Melanie, to keep the hair on his neck longer, because of the cold weather. Apparently, she took that as another opportunity to save time. Never even shaped up back there, and never shaved the back of his neck!! I felt bad for my friend because he is an older gentleman, and he can't see. I suggested we go back into the shop. When we walked in, we saw a woman with bright red hair at the first chair, and Melanie, the stylist who cut my friends hair in the farther station. At first, we were ignored. I excused myself, and asked the woman closer to us if the stylist can fix his cut. She was absolutely rude! She looked at him and said "so what's the problem?" I pointed out the things that we wanted fixed. At that point she brought Melanie over who had someone in her chair. Mind you, I was so nice to them at first. There was no need for their rude behavior. They told us to go back and wait in the car. I explained that I had my own appointments and we were in a bit of a hurry. The guy in Melanie's chair wasn't really started yet. So then Melanie told my friend to go sit in another chair, all while she told her next client, "I hope your not in a hurry." Then she stomped over to my friend. I stood at the front of the shop as to not get in anyones way. I was in the earshot of the redhead and her client. She started talking about us while I was standing there. I said to her, "You know, I'm standing right here, I can here you", at which point I asked for the name of the manager of the shop. I was told then by both stylists that there is no manager! Then I asked who owns the shop, they flat out refused to give me the persons name saying that she didn't need to be "bothered" by phone calls from people like me. At that point I let them know I would be calling their corporate offices, and take it to social media. Then Melanie yelled out, " Go ahead, that's what they all do." The man in the redheads chair, a senior citizen, turned around in his chair and began yelling at me and pointing his finer at me to get out." And then the redhead called the police!! She would have rather called the police than her manager!! When my friend was finally done, we left the shop. Then, if you can even imagine, three police cars pulled up!! For what?? Such a waste of the towns resources!! We left, and while I did speak to corporate, they listened to my complaints, but also refused to give me the name of the owner. Stay far away from this place!! My son always gets his best haircut here and he is very picky about his hair. He has thick hair with a few calics which has proven to be a challenge for his cuts, but not here! Second time I've come here for a hair cut and I'm not too impressed with the skill of their stylists. I can't say that everyone is not a great stylist, but every time I've gone there, I seem to get someone who I question their level of experience and training received to be qualified to cut hair. I've always been told that these chain hair salons have low training requirements and expectations of their stylists and I can see why. I may not be a stylist, but I've gone to enough and seen enough hair cuts to know the general strategy. For instance today I went to get a slight trim on my sides and the stylist takes the clipper all the to the top of my head, cutting into my length up top. I asked for a slight trim on the sides with a fade, there was no reason to go up that high. So I addressed she went up too high so she needs to even out the top so it doesn't look like my hair is short to being randomly long. She takes clippers to the top and starts cutting off more than needed, then uses scissors to cut off more. Now there's an obvious length differentiation on the top and it just looks silly. I use wax to try and cover up my length differences but it just looks so awkward due to lack of proper judgment when cutting the hair. I mean this place gets the job done on cutting hair, but if you have hair with a certain style or very picky with your hair, I advise to go to a proper salon with more certified stylists. This place is good for quick cuts for little kids with short hair or people who don't really mind about their hair style. read more

If you have a smart phone I would suggest downloading the app for this place so you can make an online appointment. The Freehold Area one always has a few people in it and having an appointment lets you jump the walk ins. This place seems to have a decent turnover of people but the ones who are in there have always done a good job. I'm a guy so my hair is easy to cut. If you have something that is high maintenance I would probably suggest going to a place you know. Living in the area is also great as I frequently get coupons in the mail so I almost never have to pay full price for this place.
