Hit or miss honestly. 2 of the gals there are so sweet and polite. The others..... eh. Haircuts usually are ok. Get what you pay for. Went recently, checked in, got there with in the time it stated. Waited for 20 more minutes as they had customers in their chair, but my son was #1 on the list. Both customers left and they took the third person on the list before my kid. I'm usually very patient but was in a rush and this was the longest wait we've ever had every time we've checked in. Just annoyed. read more

Great clips! Nothing really great here. Not the cuts and especially not the staff. If you didn't check in online don't even bother walking in. First thing you get when you do is a, "did you check in online". Well I didn't, because why would I, it's a haircut, and I don't live to download another crap app on my phone to check in for a haircut!! I can definitely do without the eye roll between the two staffers. The sigh and half hearted half annoyed statement told me all I wanted to know. Asked if I could just wait my turn and was told no. I was polite and pleasant the entire interaction. It's certainly not the interaction I was expecting as I've been here before with no problem regarding waiting my turn. People can't seem to understand when you don't want to share personal information. I don't want to be part of your database I want to get a haircut. Haircut 5 is really the only walk in place in town and they will now consistently get my business. read more

First time at Great Clips in Hollister. I'm picky when it comes to getting my haircut and I wasn't sure what to expect. I walked in and was greeted with a warm smile by Maddie at the front desk. She got all my information to start, as it was my first time there. She had sit in one of the stations and lo and behold Maddie would be the one to cut my hair. I have to say, again she was very friendly, engaging with me on just general conversation, she managed to get a nice cut, as requested. Totally looked great! I was very please at the end. I hope to go in the near future and only ask for Maddie to cut my hair. Did I say I was picky? Lol read more

I was just bored of my hair and wanted to do a trim but with some style. I saw a photo of a reviewer here who wasn't happy because she didn't get layers but it looked awesome to me. Been coming to this place since they opened and have been pleasantly surprised. Kayla has been helping me every other week and doing a great job as always. I think I've missed her once and the manager from the Santa Cruz location helped me and also did a great job just off of my notes. I never been here before i mostly go to haircut 5 but I had no cash on me just got into town at 5:35pm didn't want to go to the bank for cash so I decided to try this place why not. So I walk in and 2 women at the same ask me did I make appointment on line? No I replied. Well you need appointment and we're booked for the rest of the night and we open at 9am. Rudely to me I replied the sign out front says walk right in doesn't say make appointment. So my first and only time there and never will go back cause they were rude and the sign is wrong. Really poor haircut. The lady was nice enough even though she complained about being there for too long. I didn't think much of it until I got home, got out of the shower and looked closer at the cut. It was a very simple haircut, just buzz the whole thing. Well... she did about 3/4 of the job. When I saw it I was bummed, I had to shave my whole head because she missed so much. Really wish I wouldn't have left there with out looking closer. read more

The wait time here is always much higher than other Great clips stores nearby. And online checkin slot is rarely available during the weekends. Highly mismanaged store, and the employees seems to be burnt out and complaining about the scenario whenever I went. If the situation remains same, I am thinking to change my barber. read more

I went in to this location last week and salon was exceptionally clean. I appreciated seeing every stylist sanitizing their tools with every client in their chair. My haircut was well done, just wanted a slight trim with medium layers and some face framing. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who is need of an awesome haircut.
