Normally, we have a good experience at this location. I dont know what happened today. We checked in online and arrived on time for the check in. There were five stylists cutting hair when we arrived. As they finished the customer they were working on, they started to all go to lunch. I sat there for half an hour watching them slowly trickle off to lunch. Soon there were only two stylists left. One was cleaning her station very thoroughly and the other was still cutting hair. Another customer walks in and is taken straight to the chair by the first stylist. They obviously knew each other because he hugged her on the way to the chair. Even if he checked in online before we did (we also checked in online) ,we arrived when prompted, we walked in and finished the check in half an hour before he did. Normally, I wouldn't cause a stink about it but after I sat there with my child for half an hour, it was very disrespectful. I stood up and walked out with my son. I ended up at a different barber were I was treated with much more respect. read more

Don't recommend. Even if you ask if they're comfortable cutting a certain style and they say yes, they really don't know how to do it and just mess your hair up. Asked for bangs and it looks like someone chopped me up as a sleepover prank. Sad. read more

Have the APP, checked in. When I arrived to the location, it said I was next in line to get my haircut. When I got up to the desk, I told him I wanted to use the coupon, they changed my check-in to coupon & it dropped me to the bottom of the list & I had to wait over 30 minutes to get my haircut. Not great planning on their part with the app. The 2 people in there seemed to be new Hair Stylists & didn't know how to use the APP. Clearly deleting me, should've taken me next knowing how long I was waiting. It's sad to say that Lake Elsinore doesn't really offer a lot of hair cut places but I'm not driving outside the city to get it done. And the manager was unhelpful. read more

I have gotten my haircut here for about a year and usually see a particular stylist who is very good. But today I walked in an only Freida was available. I saw her cutting a guys hair about 6 months ago and the taper was really bad and uneven so I always made sure to avoid her. Today I had no other option. Right at the start she cut the fade line around my head and it was over 1 inch higher on one side from the other. Same thing on my sideburns. The haircut was rushed, honestly I just wanted out of there because I couldn't believe how uneven all of the cuts were and how little attention to detail there was. I will make sure to only see my normal stylist from now on. She seems like a really nice person but the haircut was bad and as soon as I got home all of my friends started making fun of it which was even more confirmation. I work in a professional environment and you can't have customers leaving your place of business like this. read more

They left hair on the side of his ear, didn't properly cut the top, and didn't blend in the fade. I can't believe this person has a license. Save your time and money and go somewhere else! I paid for my haircut even though I was upset on how short it was. It's going to take at least six months before I will not be upset about it. Love this location, love all the employees, especially Britney (sorry if misspelled) and honestly, just check the online wait time before you come so you know how long you may wait. I will not be calling out this hairstylist by name. Best part of the haircut was the initial greeting. I very clearly laid out how I get my haircut and like to leave the front longer to style. This request was completely disregarded as the stylist took the clippers straight over my head. I called out the stylist for not leaving the front longer as I had asked and she attempted to play it off, stating "It is" when she VERLY CLEARLY took the clippers straight over my head leaving my head looking rounder than a bowling ball. Very safe to say this is my last haircut at this location as I am tired getting below mediocre haircuts at this location from the staff as a whole and recommend other customers to seek better locations. read more

I have been here twice. The first time the lady did an ok job. The second time this young girl in the front cut my hair and she really doesn't know what she is doing. I got home and the left side was sticking out like crazy and she cut a big chunk out of the front of my hair. If you are talking about a customer (teen), at least try to hide it. One of the stylists here made my teen very upset and had an uncomfortable experience. Not only were comments made amongst the stylists, but bothering gestures did not go unnoticed. If "cutting hair" bothers you, maybe this is the wrong profession you are in. I was unaware of this until we got home, but this behavior is unacceptable and frankly upsetting. I hope this franchise takes the time to re-evaluate its employee's professionalism. read more

I've been here a few times and had a bad experience before with another employee...I came in last week for the second time for myself. I had gotten a haircut by Leslie before and she was there when I walked in and I requested her to do my hair once again. She is amazing! I'm not really picky and I just go in and tell her what I want and go along with any suggestions. I really liked how she puts in effort and goes above and beyond the times that I've gone with her. I really love my hair now! I was growing out my balayage and she chopped off all the blonde and my new layers are amazing! Girl can work too cutting hair and taking care of guests walking in! Had a bad experience with Emma, she seemed to have an attitude when we asked her to kind of even out the hair from the back, she left it worst. So my son said it was fine, which it wasn't. Last visit here was the best hair cut I ever had. The most current visit was sadly lacking. I had to fix the mistakes. Chunks of my hair weren't even cut. Around my ears, NOT CUT. Cowlicks sticking up. What a joke. To the chick from Missouri that I got stuck with: you need more training. And I specifically was clear about needing the top texturized and you "forgot". You aren't very good with pixie type cuts...AT ALL. And to rag on the chick that last did my hair was NOT COOL. read more

This is an updated review of my experience this morning. As stated on my last review I have a toddler. Sometimes as people we are quick to judge or get annoyed with crying kids. But sometimes these kids have special needs or delays!!!!! Be more empathetic towards these innocent children. My son has a speech delay therefore it's hard for him to express himself. He is scared of clippers just like many other kids. The noise can be intimidating for them. I always hesitate to take him because again many people don't love their job or at least they don't try to make the best of it and immediately take it out on customers. The lady seemed so annoyed she had to cut a crying boys hair. I asked her how to cut it and she said if he moved she would cut herself. Agree and trust me I would take full responsibility. But again be more accommodating otherwise great clips should offer children haircuts just for a certain age range. I honestly walked out of the salon. It just sucks to feel like your kids annoy other people. read more

We were driving down to San Diego for the weekend and stopped here since my sons hair was looking pretty rough. Plenty of stylists working only had us waiting about 5 minutes on a busy Saturday morning. They were all very friendly and seemed to be doing a great job, my sons hair turned out perfectly, he loved it and was happy as well. Prices are great at $13 for a cut ($11 for kids under 10 and seniors) They even gave me a coupon for a cut for $6.99 in the next 3 months, so I will be back! read more

Not sure if policies or management changed, but it was a bit of a hassle to get my guy's walk-in haircut today. He's always last minute and this location just happened to be in our vicinity. They now CHARGE and require you to get a hair washing (additional cost) if you arrive with product in your hair. Horrible customer service as this was not explained accurately and in all the dozens of times we have ever used Great Clips services, my son or my guy have never been expected or required to walk in with no product in the hair. It has always been a last minute/walk-in to get a haircut so they've always had some remnants of product in the hair. Also, the stylists have always sprayed with water and never seemed to have a problem combing out the hair before clipping. Evenso, if they have had any product at all, it's only been on the top of the hair, never on the side where they use the mechanical clippers. Had she explained an update to their policies maybe we would have understood, but it was just poor customer service. Disappointing and far from efficient today. We won't be returning. read more

All my experiences have been good here. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of what happened today. And even though what I'm about to explain happened, I still understand. Just sucked to be on the end of it. Ok, I checked my son Paul in for a haircut. When we had 20 minutes left to wait we left. We went in and it clearly showed we were next on the computer screen. One of the women in the back then said oh no, Jacob is next. When I looked at the screen Jacob was 2 people under us but they took him before us anyway. Ok, no big deal. I figured my son was next. Our name was at the top of the list and it showed we had zero minutes to wait on the app. They then called Anthony. And again, Anthony was underneath us on the wait list but they took him back anyway. At this point I was starting to get a little irritated. But my son was then called. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but we had to be home by a certain time. I understand that things get busy and like I said all my experiences prior have all been positive. As far as the haircut, my sons hair was perfect. The stylist did an amazing job. I will continue to support this establishment because the stylists are all very nice and they do a great job.
