I know I wasn't looking my best, but I certainly looked like many of the ladies here in Bellingham in my leggings and oversized sweatshirt, hair up in a clip. As soon as I walked in, one lady sitting down just ignored me, and the other doing hair looked me up and down before asking if she could help me. Then after asking me when I was available the one sitting down went to her appointment book, flipped through a couple pages, then asked the other one to book me instead. The other one said she wasn't taking on any new clients. Even my daughter noticed how completely uninterested they were to give me an appointment. I have never been treated that way upon walking into a salon before. I can't even imagine what they would've done to my hair had I been successful in getting an appointment. So I said it seems like you are both too busy, no worries, and drove away in my Lexus. I highly recommended finding a better place to spend your money ladies, this place is way too full of themselves.

I was…read moreapprehensive about going in during COVID-19 but I was very impressed with the care and precautions taken. I felt completely safe and protected. What really blew me away was that, as a first time client, she gave me an amazing cut for my naturally curly hair, and the color/highlights are the most natural I've ever had! Normally it takes a stylist 3 or 4 times to get the cut and color just the way I like it, but Feryl not only did this on the first appointment but she did it BETTER than any stylist I've ever seen. I'm grateful to my friend who referred me to her, and now Feryl has to be my stylist forever!

I wanted a perm, but my hair is down to the middle of my back, so my regular place didn't want to…read moretackle it. After a bit of research, I came across this salon. I am quite pleased! I felt welcomed the moment I walked in. I arrived kind of early so my stylist wasn't there yet, so I took in my surroundings and watched another stylist work her magic. My stylist, Cassie, walked in about five minutes after me and greeted me with a big smile. I showed Cassie a couple of pictures of what I wanted, and she knew exactly what I wanted. She got to work, all the while making sure I was comfortable. We had a pleasant conversation... and soon, it was unveiling time. I was quite surprised by the outcome -- it was *exactly* what I'd asked for! I've been admiring the results all morning. She carefully explained how to care for my new perm and made sure to caution me not to wash it for at least two days (I usually wait 3 just in case). The experience was wonderful and I am really happy with the results. Perms always look much better on me after the first wash... I'm so looking forward to seeing the final result because I know it's just what I'd requested. I am now going to ditch my previous salon and switch over to Looking Glass for everything because I know they understand what I want and they aren't shy about spending the time to achieve the look I want. I left a voicemail in a panic and got a call first thing the next morning that Nicci would cut and color my hair that day! So I didn't end up getting that job, but I have become a very satisfied regular customer for the past year. Going to Cat N Fiddle is kind of like going to your favorite coffee house. You get what you expect---EVERY time. These guys have years of experience and traning as well. Other salons come and gone but they have been in this same location for 15 years! I had never met Nicci before that first cut and my hair was grown out and a mess, and I am not a good "talker" but he knew. Then, months later, it became inevitable that my hair was not going to be straight anymore due to the moist climate. He helped me make peace with my curls and taught me about frizz control so it is no longer something I need to think about. The music is always awesome--but varied. So forget how wonderful Nicci and Danny are--the view from the chair is breathtaking!!!! A vacation in itself. Highly Recommend this place!

First post- I liked having my hair cut regularly here. My stylist was and is AMAZING. Sadly - After my last visit I don't plan on going back. Each time I went, they would change my haircut price by the end of the session. On the phone it would be reasonable then I'd end up paying $20ish more + tip. It's ridiculous. Repeatably complaining about customers. Complaining about a Casino. Complaining about a friends cowboy hat. I've seen the behavior before in drug related case studies. Drugs or maybe a medical condition of some kind. He also complained about what a lady said to him about his Domed, (Clubbing), fingernails. They look pretty bad. It could be affecting his behavior. The lady even told him he should see a doctor. Her husband died from symptoms related to that condition. Either way. He has no business cutting anyone's hair.

We got there at 1:09 and we stood in front of the door for a couple minutes. The door was locked. There was four employees inside, And no customers. I assumed they saw me. I made eye contact with one of them through the window. And stood there for a few minutes We call the number on the the door right at 1:10. They turned my son and myself away 2 hours before we had a wedding photo shoot. I ask to speak with the manager. The receptionist Leslie had a very badd attitude. She said, I'm sorry honey there's nothing I can do .you guys have a wonderful day and enjoy your wedding. They had 4 barbers in the shop and not a single customer. I ask to speak with the owner , the receptionist( Leslie )told me that she's not available . Leslie quickly handed me a business card and then shut the door in my face and locked it smiling at me through the glass door. I called the number 4 times that she gave me on the business card ,she answered that number herself. She told me to call back and hang up and that she would put me through to the voicemail. I tried to do this she answered the phone again. Then she started to play dumb and told me all I have to do is call back again and hang up. I did this 4 times I finally gave up after the 4th phone call. I have better things to do with my time then play childish games. I've been coming here for years and have always received a good haircut at this place. It's unfortunate that a super fake receptionist with a badd attitude Has ruined this whole experience. She is killing this business.
