I generally don't give 1 star but this was the worst experience ever. The people here are rude and inconsiderate and don't even check you in even after telling you checked in online. On top of this, they gave me the worst haircut ever without listening, the lady put through the trimmer. I have been going to great clips for over 6 years not but this was my worst experience. Impressively awful. Brought my daughter for a fairly simple haircut and the gentleman working took less than 5 minutes to sit her down, cut her hair and move on. Now if he were so skilled he could accomplish this in 5 minutes I'd be impressed. Instead it wasn't anything like what she asked for and was so uneven and crooked we had to go somewhere else and have it cut again. On top of that we overheard the previous customer being berated to their face for not leaving enough of a tip! And trust me those poor kids cuts were worse than what my daughter got. read more

I have been going to great clips for many years and never had a bad haircut until last week. I went back in today (7-19-2021) and the young lady who did such a bad job was there and another lady, Aura, were there. They both got finished with their clients at the same time. I said I am not sure how this works, but I got a really bad haircut by X (I won't mention her name). Aura immediately stepped up and said she would fix it at no charge. She did a great job. I will ask for her from now on. The young lady who did the bad job went to the back of the shop and did not come out while I was there. The least I would ask from her would have been an apology. read more

André fixed a VERY bad hair cut by a stylist at a different location who was rude and racially insensitive. He took his time, asked questions, was able to immediately identify a variety of issues wrong with the prior cut and evened out a haircut gone wrong! I asked for my daughter's almost waist length hair to be cut to just below her shoulders. The lady made the first few cuts at the perfect length...I looked away to see out the window and when I turned back she had cut a huge chunk off up to around her ears. At this point I wanted to grab my child and leave- and honestly should have but I let her finish because how much worse could it get? Much worse apparently. The cut is nearly to her ears, uneven and very choppy. It's way too short to even be fixed at this point. The manager was not in at the time but I did call back and speak to him- which was kind of pointless because we aren't taking her back there to get it fixed. It was more of a hey, your "stylists" obviously need more training. Extremely disappointed, will not return obviously. read more

Today the technicians all ran away to the back when it was my turn to get a hair cut, then one of them came to say she was not comfortable cutting my hair and asked the only black lady there to cut my hair. I have short cropped kinky hair than I only use one size clipper on, no special style nothing. First time I experience the white technicians running away and avoiding cutting my hair. I have been going here for several years and have found this to be the best of the chain salons in the area. I am almost always pleased with the haircuts I get. I can usually walk in and get a haircut right away without a wait. They have improved on their wait times since a few years back the wait time seemed to be longer. They have really great deals, and for the last year or so have offered $9.95 haircuts when you buy a gift card in advance. read more

We have had some less than stellar visits in our two years at this location. Specially one stylist that I would swear was drinking or hung over and had highly inappropriate conversations in front of my 8 year old. This location is lucky to have her! Donna! Been coming here for over four years. Get one haircut out of ten that you are satisfied with. Only come out of convince. Very high turnover rate with stylists. Online check in is a joke. I guess the trick is to check in an hour before you head out. If not, you still end up waiting. Checked in online 10 mins before coming. Checked in at store and was waiting for 15 minutes. Online check in that was ahead of us showed up and we waited another 15 min. So they checked in at least a half hour before we did and took their sweet ass time. Only benefit is not having to have an appointment if you only have time to get a haircut when you figure you have the time. read more

I went to this Great Clips recently and received the worst haircut experience I have ever had. The person cutting g my hair was really pushy to me and my father. My father was trying to tell her what I wanted (even though I could) and she was in the middle of putting on my blanket-like thing to keep the hair off of my clothes and she stopped him and said hold on in a really pushy manner. Then in the middle of my haircut whilst she was cutting the hairs off of my neck, she cuts me (it drew blood) and didn't even bother to say anything. Employees are rude and told my son that he doesn't comb his hair so they can't cut it. Talked to Tam the manager and he said to come back , so I did, and not once but twice they said they won't cut it because its too frizzy. My son has a medical condition and its sad people don't respect his condition. Went to sports clips down the street and gave the lady a $20 tip because at sports clips their employees are there to make money and make the customers happy. read more

Looks like I'm not the only one with this issue. Do not go to Great Clips. I took my daughter for a straight trim. I wanted her to cut off a few inches and she cut off way more than that when I wasn't looking. I should have taken my daughter and left before she got started because she handed me a brush and told me to brush my daughter's hair. We had just come from church so it wasn't messy. Then she kept lecturing me about how bad my daughter's hair was and I should buy their products. My daughter has gorgeous hair. She just needed a simple trim, which I thought GC could handle. I was wrong. I was hesitant to go there because they had done such an awful job on my son's hair a year or so ago. I thought maybe it was because he has a cow lick. They also scared my son who was only 2 or 3 at the time. Oh and they also criticized his hair and made fun of the shape of his head. I take him to sports clips and they do great. I'm kicking myself for giving Great Clips another chance. I would rather pay $$ at my salon for my 7 year old than ever take her back there! read more

I've been taking my son (almost 11-years old) to this location for haircuts since 2014, so for three years now. Every single time I go there. they print out the client profile slip they ask me and confirm with me what is on the paper as to how to cut his hair. Every single time...until last night. Last night the stylist looks at the paper and asks my son while sitting in the chair, "#2 all over?" He's been going there and getting the same haircut so he's thinking "yes, that's right" while not understanding what he is really being asked. She doesn't confirm with me and just shaves it all off. Unfortunately, I'm sitting in a chair that isn't in plain sight of my son and the stylist, so I don't see or hear what's going on. So, my son gets done and walks up to me sporting a buzz cut, which he doesn't like and hasn't had in 3-years. Lesson learned on a few fronts - keep your eye on the stylist and always explain how you want them to cut your child's hair whether they are ask for it or not. I know for one thing - this particular woman will never lay a scissor or clipper on my head or my son's head ever again. If the manager of this particular location is reading this post, I would encourage you to instruct and train your staff to always confirm with the parents about the haircut for their children before touching their hair. read more

Worst customer service EVER!!!! I had a bad experience at this location when I brought my son for a haircut. I later called to speak with a manager and was quickly told that she was not in. When I asked for the managers name she hung up on me. I called right back and asked for the managers name again, she hung up on me again! I called around to a couple of different locations to see if I could find out through them who the manager or franchise owner was and ended up speaking with that locations Assistant District Manager. He took my information. Hopefully they will reprimand that rude "lady" I spoke with. I will never go to that location again!!! read more

I was in to get my hair cut today, clearly next in line, the operator who was free didn't want to take me next, There seamed to be a friend of hers who came in well after I did, She walked slowely around stood by the back room , her hand never left the door jam, She swept up every ones hair that was on the floor, and just puttered around until another operator was finished and she called my name. The girl did a wonderful job, and I love my cut, but I did deserve it after being made to feel like I was a hunk of crap, and being bullied for a good 10 or 15 minutes. I called in advance to see if they accepted an online coupon that I received. They said yes and all one needed to do was show it on their phone. So, I checked in my teenage son for when he got off his bus about 45 minutes later. When my son arrived, he pulled up the coupon on his phone and asked if they accepted the coupon and the person behind the counter said yes. After the haircut, the stylist suddenly started saying they don't accept any online coupons and was quite rude about it to my teenager. I called and to try and explain it and they were rude to me too. I had to go and get cash from an ATM because I wasn't about to let them bait and switch. We would have gladly gone to another branch that does accept online coupons if they were honest upfront. Any branch that would treat a teenager so rudely doesn't deserve your business and won't get ours again. There are 4 other branches nearby that do just as good a job with the haircut. read more

From the get go the woman who cut my hair was rude to me and kept making comments about how awful my hair was and then kept getting distracted and talking to the other stylists while she was washing my hair. Then during the actual haircut she wasn't even paying attention while cutting my hair barely even glancing at what she was doing. Then in the middle of the actual cut stopped and went to go help and check in a custom even though there were two other stylists not even with a client and it wasn't until one of them told her to go back to me that she did. After she finished cutting she took the blowdryer to my hair for maybe 2 minutes and asked if i wanted it styled i said no because i was just going to put it up into a ponytail after anyway but then she literally cut off the blow dryer and said she was done while my hair was still half dripping wet. I understand it's a great clips and not a four star salon but it doesn't seem that hard to me to at least pay attention to your client and their hair that you're cutting. Literally was not worth the money i payed for it and will most definitely not be coming here again. read more
