We used to to go to a different Great Clips as it was close to home but this particular location at Napa is the best so far per my senior mom. Can't beat the price at Great Clips. All the time the wait is less, the hair cut was done as expected and neat and clean. No chopped hairs on the neck or shoulder, staff are courteous and professional. This location located at the same plaza of Target Napa and various establishments next to it. Plenty or parking. Close to the highway and near the car dealerships and clinics where my mom had an appointment. Tip: make sure to check in ahead of time online to avoid waiting for long time. I was on the lookout for a new hairstylist who agrees with me on cutting hair based on my hair part. I went here on Thursday this week to get a haircut and also a new hair style. Arrived around 4:15pm, but didn't have an appointment so I had to wait 20 minutes before being seated. I was seated around 4:35pm and my haircut was done at 5pm. My hair stylist was Carrie and she was AMAZING! She's so nice and didn't pressure me into getting anything done that I didn't want. When I showed her the length I want cut, she took out a ruler and actually MEASURED it! She also cuts your hair based on how your hair is parted (I have a side part so other hairstylists cut my hair lopsided by creating a new part). I've never had a hair stylist measure my hair or how much I want cut before so that was very reassuring to know she won't cut too much. I'm always nervous when I get my haircut, but I didn't feel nervous when I tried out this place a few days ago! Carrie is a great conversationalist, seemed very knowledgeable in hair, and was patient when answering all the questions and concerns I had. I was so happy after my haircut here and I've never felt that way at any other hair salon. I'd recommend this place! If you're trying out a new hairstyle this location would be a great place to go to because the staff gives great customer service, knowledgeable, and patient here. NO STARS! Don't do it! My son has been growing his beautiful thick curly hair for months to have a mullet. We've had a couple great cuts to trim the sides and finally the back was long enough. He told the stylist (and I use that term loosely) that he wanted a mullet. Just trim the sides, leave it long in back. What does she do? She flipping used a number 3 and SHAVED the back of his head!!! She started in the back and there was no going back. He has the most awful haircut I have ever seen! Basically a shaved head except for the very top! It's HORRIBLE!! We told the manager and she apologized but we still had to pay! My son is devastated. RUN AWAY! DON'T DO IT! My dislike for this place is the same dislike I have with all great clips. They charge full price for trims and neck shaves even though it's not a full haircut. I go to get an under shave cleaned up and They still charge me full price. Yesterday I had the service done and the person that cut my hair look like she didn't even want to be there either. They charge me full price for less than 5 min of work (which the hairstylist made a commented on) she didn't comb my hair at all, and when she was done shaving the back of my head, she kind of just brushed it off with the back of her hand so I ended up being itchy the entire way home because I had Bits of shaved hair all over my back. She didn't use the air on the blow dryer or anything to get the hair off my back. Part of me knew that this was gonna happen because the gentleman before me got a haircut, had the same issue as he was leaving he was brushing hair off of his shoulders and off of his shirt. read more

Well... I came in for a trim, and subtle layers focusing on the ends. She asked for a reference picture and asked while using a piece of my hair how much was okay to cut off. My hair was too keep the long- medium hair and just cut off dead ends. She shows me a reference book they have and shows me her own ideas. We settle with my reference picture and- she cuts off an even shorter length, similar to the one she showed me. I feel that she didn't choose to listen to her client, but to her own idea. My hair stylist was Carrie and she was an absolute delight. We told a few stories back and forth; she's a very sweet woman. As for my hair, I couldn't be happier with the price and outcome. Carrie gave me a cut and layered my hair. It looks fantastic! And for a mere $16 fee, I'm impressed! I wish I could leave zero stars. I've been a loyal Great Clips customer for years. I called this location at 5:55 told them I was around the corner. The girl on the phone said well if you get here at 6 ok. I told her I was 5 minutes away and with an attitude she kept repeating the same answer, very rude. So I show up exactly at 6 and the lights are off. A guy ignores me and I bang on the window. He won't even open it and just points at his watch. I tell him I just called and checked in online. He said sorry it's 6:01. I've never had a negative experience at a Great Clips and this one was so terrible I'm done. I realize it's a franchise but as a brand they need to ensure all of their salons treat customers right. The date was 2/13/16 and there was a girl and a guy working. Not only does he listen to you he also has a superb talent to design the best hair cut based on your face. He literally left us in shock when he was done cutting her hair. Trevor! He is the best. I am glad I gave the place a 2nd chance. He is the only reason I am giving this place 5 stars. He was taking one for the team as far as I saw. He answered phones, signed people in and everything else. The Best $20+ I've spent on my hair. I was told the wait would be 15-20 minutes by the woman who signed me in. I waited 45 minutes. No one talked to me, no one told me, 15 minutes more. As soon as the pizza delivery guy dropped off the pizza, 2 or 3 of the employees made a B Line to the back of the salon. Even the folks that were cutting hair. They would take forever to clean up their stations and go onto the next guest waiting. Trevor was on it. Not only is the customer not always right, but they will gang up on you like a bunch of east side feral dogs to get their point across. will never set foot in this place again. it was not clean (hair on the tops of the outlet under the station), hair all over the floor, the cosmetologist wiped her hands & her scissors on a white towel on her station that had somebody else's hair on it. Literally just cut my hair straights across without sectioning my hair to cut. Worse experience, and I never went back. Slooooowwww. Made an appointment online. That didn't matter. Online said 26 minutes wait time. I got there and my name was on the list, but I got skipped for someone who was sitting down before me, but was under me on the wait list. Then there were 3 stylists and 4 people waiting for a haircut and then one stylist went on a break! Overall it took 57 minutes from making my appointment, to getting skipped, to my actual haircut. I recently posted about a horrible experience at the Great Clips on Soscol in the shopping center with Target and Home Depot. I was contacted by the owner of that franchise and was graciously offered an opportunity for a free redo by one of his managers but in another location. I am here to say thank you for a wonderful experience to Mr. Patrick Miller and his manager Renata! She is a very capable stylist who was able to clip and shape my hair into something beautiful after the bad cut. I will never take my daughter in here for a bangs/hair trim again. I had to show the young man who cut her hair the chunks of hair he missed. When I got her home and combed her hair out, I could see how the ends of her hair were uneven, and small chunks of her bangs were still missed.
